Blue Mermaid is a wonderful spot near fisherman's wharf. Great place to eat. Good ambience! you don't feel overwhelmed by noise or the tourists. As a Bay Area native, it was a good find whenever we have to be downtown. Second time we were there. The ribeye was good value. Could do a bit more seasoning. the crab louie and the butter chicken were also very good! the key lime pie was a bit lacking in taste. overall it is a place i would return to.

Awesome spot near fisherman’s wharf, we dined inside and it had a lovely traditional marine feel to it. Dining as a family of four the staff were super attentitve and helpful. The wharf basked and salad were great and the kids meals perfect size. Will definitely be back.

The restaurant was reasonably busy but certainly not packed. Unfortunately, it seemed noticeably understaffed, and the service could have used a little more attention to detail. The food was disappointing. The steak was quite gristly, and the burger arrived well done despite being ordered medium rare. The drinks were also a bit disjointed, with one arriving first and the other two following about ten minutes later. We had to ask twice for condiments, and after we finished our meals, the server asked if we were done but then walked away without clearing the table or offering further assistance. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, with disappointing food and service that felt somewhat uncoordinated. We hope the restaurant can improve, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Our experience was kind of a mixed bag. Service and atmosphere were great, chowder in a break bowl is to be recommended, but the fish and chips were overpriced and nothing special.

I prezzi on line sono diversi da quelli reali , almeno per il vino. Personale gentile ma il servizio è lento. Colazione poco varia .

Very nice corn and crab chowder followed by crab and avocado salad accompanied by an hazy IPA - overall very good experience, some hiccups with the service (waited a while to be even seen upon arrival, on and off attentiveness during the meal). Nice outdoor patio lunch experience

The restaurant is a nice size, in a good location with nice decor. The menu was broad enough to satisfy everyone and the food was reasonable. My son liked his chowder bread bowl but my husband thought his was dry (he'd been anticipating one like the picture in the elevator!). I enjoyed the rice under the scallops. The service was friendly but not very attentive. It was a late reservation after visiting Alcatraz - so perhaps understandable.... We promised the kids dessert but it wasn't offered and when we asked for a serving of tres leches, we were told the kitchen was closed. Sad kids, but end of a long day. The hotel attached to the restaurant was a good place to stay, so now that we're familiar we could go to the restaurant again because it is convenient.
