Food was fantastic. Brunch menu was diverse enough to satisfy the lucky eaters in our group. The wild sockeye salmon was prepared so nicely, not a speck of it remained on my or my sister's plate. She ordered hers well done and mine was medium rare. All the accompaniments completed the fish perfectly. The cherry and almond glaze went well well with the small roasted potatoes.
My father-in-law ordered smoked salmon hash; not a crumb on his plate nor my husband's where a waygu burger once sat. My mother-in-law's french toast hit the spot for her. Normally she orders chicken or an omelet. She ate about half and took the other half home to enjoy at another meal.
Fresh oysters were delicious. We ordered Cortez and Glacier Point. They lived up to their reputation to being sizable and bring, just the way we like them.
Service was outstanding.
Waited 40minutes for a reserved table, although they did come us a glass of wine for the wait. Halibut was unimaginative in presentation and flavor.
Delicious food, but it was very expensive. We’ve had a starter and entree plus a cheap wine. We paid more than 250 dollars...
While the food was excellent, the service fell short. When we sat down to eat, we noticed that there is a charge for bread. When we questioned the waiter, he laughed and "it's only $2.50" While not a lot of money, it is the principle.
My appetizer came before my husbands and before the wine was brought. Long wait for the food.
Check includes a 20% tip...guess there's not much to work for.
If the service was better, I could see giving the restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, poor service changes the experience.
Excellent place all around!!! Try it - you won't be disappointed!
Our server Ron was very knowledgeable about the food he was serving and also very friendly. The food was great. I would no hesitate to eat there again.
Good seafood option in the heart of downtown, away from the waterfront. Close to the theater and great shopping.
I ate at the restaurant two years ago.
It was great! Not so much this time. Crab cake wasn't so good. Service was hurried. Noise level high. No ambience.
What happened? I paid too much for a not so fun evening .
Great fish! great wine list! warm, friendly and engaged waiter (Kyle) - loved my dinner and time at BA. In fact, I won't eat seafood anywhere else - when i'm in town. Also: I thought I had left some belongings at my table and called about it. Several people were beyond helpful - and when I found the things and let them know, they were happy for me (when I called to let them know). What a personal touch and appreciated kindness. Keep up the great work!
Scallops and Swordfish were cooked perfectly, but the portions were small. Pricing was high. Wait staff was great.
This is my opinion based on my experience .....::
Visiting from Toronto ... checked out the ratings for the “ best crab cakes” in town .. this one showed up . Crab cake was good but, not really the title for the best one, service was +++ slow considering the place was kinda empty. Our server was quite inattentive and seemed to be bothered with us asking questions . As a server you should suggest sides to go with any meals not say the menu states it does not come with any sides those are extra SO , what do you want AFTER the meal is brought .. just a thought ....: HOWEVER, our server had absolutely no problem stating that the bill has the gratuity included for a party of two w/ separate bills .
Place is looks lovely , front hostess very nice , service and server uhmmmmmm not so much .
again my opinion ..
Came with expectation of good seafood; and was told the oyster and scampi are dinner menu. Glad the server tried to coordinate with the kitchen to accommodate.
4 out of 12 Oyster on the half shell ( one dozen ) were stale with nasty after-taste ( I ate without any sort of dressing ). minor trace of broken shell pieces found in the meat.
Scampi was overcooked - very chewy.
Ordered a bloody Mary and took 20 minutes to serve.
Bottle of white wine prized reasonable - the only thing I enjoyed
Did not live up to the review as a great seafood place from concierge recommendation. Just ok. Food was good, but not up to the hype.
We had a great time. The food was awesome.
Extraordinary seafood and salad. Her server Desiree did a unbelievably friendly and excellent service and enhanced our experience tremendously. The meal was excellent we had the copper River salmon which was The best I’ve had in the north west and I do live here Desirae our serverThe dining experience exceptional
Great food. The Angry Lobster was excellent , as were the Crab cakes.
Great place for big groups as this is one of the few places that can accommodate big groups last minute. The food is very good and the servers are really good.
Particularly disappointing for an out of towner’s venture into Northwest Seafood dining. Clearly a conventioneers’ preferred spot. Large tables of men with name tags around their necks dining. Not being a Northwest oyster expert, I chose 2 each of the 6 different oysters offered. Prices between $2.75-$3.75 a piece. The dozen was roughly $40. Unfortunately, the oysters were about the size of your thumb some slightly bigger. Microscopic compared to east coast and european varieties. Small oysters apparently are common in the Northwest, but checking out several other oyster bars in Seattle, these were clearly the smallest. Small oysters are a very different experience, one which I am sure locals are used to, but those not from the Northwest may find very disappointing and expensive for that experience. The King salmon main course was interesting. Curiously designed to overwhelm the subtle, non farm raised, flavors of this wild fish. Cherries, almonds pine nuts OK, maybe,... but a rosemary brown butter?? No. The presentations were spartan as was thee table setting and absence of bread which could be purchased.
Given this restaurant is highly rated on Open Table and by the Concierge at our hotel, I must be clearly out of synch. Nevertheless that knowledge does not change my disappointment nor change the fact that I would not recommend this restaurant.
We ate here with a group from our conference we attended at the Motif. This restaurant came highly regarded by hotel staff, locals, and reviews. It makes sense why. The food is outstanding. The portions are smaller than I am used to especially for the higher price. However, the food and atmosphere easily made up for it. We used OpenTable to secure our reservation for 8 and it couldn't have been easier.
While traveling we looked up this restaurant, our server was great and very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu as well as the area. Our meals were enjoyable
Very nice environs. Quite surprised there weren’t more folks there for dinner. Hefty portions. Great service. Next time, I’ll try the relay bar. 👍🏽
The food and service were both delightful. We enjoyed the first catch of CopperRiver salmon.
Greeting at the door - no affect, couldn't care less if we were there
waiter had no personality, disinterested service
food was good- not great
The Blue Acre was amazing! Some of the best seafood we have ever eaten! Our waiter was wonderful, suggesting items that he thought we would enjoy. And we did! We had the sourdough bread with an amazing lemon oil butter, followed by clam chowder and Dungeness crab cake. The papaya spiral in top totally complemented the crab cake which was light tasting. The halibut was perfect in every way. Mild with a crispy crust-best we’ve ever had. The salmon was wonderful too. Unfortunately, we had eaten so much we weren’t able to finish with a dessert. We highly recommend this restaurant, which had been recommended to us by one of our physicians back in Kentucky! We were not disappointed!
Always enjoy Blueacre Seafood. I like the atmosphere, servers are nice, food hasn't been a miss yet. The only issue last time was that the server kept forgetting our drinks. Overall good experience.
Delicious food and amazing service! Will come again :)
Bluacre is a favorite of ours. This lunch visit was typical with excellent service, delicious food (petrale sole), and a nice selection of wines.
Just too loud. Service was ok. Food was very good. Good taste, well prepared.
Food portions are especially small. Specially the scallop entire for the price of $42
Greg provided great recommendations and quality service with a friendly smile. My friend’s only nonpositive comment was that he felt the oysters did not taste as fresh as he would’ve hoped. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed all of food and drinks.
I took my 3 grand daughters and it was nice to find a "fancy" restaurant that encourages children.
I am a regular for happy hour and love the menu options offered. We decided to eat there before a Paramount show. It's really good. But I just have a rough time spending over $40-$48 for an entree. There are places I might spend that but it would generally be in a setting with more elegance and superior service. There is nothing wrong here except the pricing being inconsistent with the overall feel. Just keep in mind when you next plan on dinner there.
Excellent food and service!
I'm a regular here & like to bring along guests. Today was another fine lunch, recommending the Terresa salad and "Bruce" sandwich. Trust me!
Great meal for seven of us. Good service and exceptional cod, crab cake, and surprise fried chicken.
Great meal and service.
easter w family great restaurant and food for business or weekend
Everything from mimosas to coffee and dessert was wonderful. So lovely to have a wonderful Easter Brunch without doing any work. Tim’s potatoes chip coated fish and chips with onion rings and the salted caramel panda cotta were my favorites today. Perfectly prepared. The crab cakes my husband had large pieces
of crab. Yummy
