Cafe Amici Beverly Hills
The menu at the Cafe Amici Beverly Hills includes a range of antipasti, soups, pastas and specialty pizzas. Start with grilled Hawaiian prawn, organic lentils, marinated tomatoes and baby spinach or canelli bean and organic lentil soup. Mains at Cafe Amici Beverly Hills include spaghetti with grilled Maine lobster and fresh Louisiana crab meat with tomato sauce and linguini with smoked chicken.
The food was delicious but it took forever to come out. The service was not great at all, items were forgotten. Even getting a drink took too long. The food was really great though so I did feel it was worth it and the place was cute, so if you don't mind waiting 45 mins for your drink and are not in a rush at all this is the place for you.
Horrible service. Food was good but the service was awful.
Solid meal. Nice wait staff. Food was good. Bread is excellent
This is one of the best Italian restaurants that I've been to in L.A. It's small quiet and cozy and the service was excellent.
My wife and I met some friends for dinner. We shared a margarita pizza which was excellent. We each had a mista salad, again excellent. We shared a pounded chicken Marsala which was also excellent.
Our friends shared a grilled calamari over salad, also excellent.
An extensive wine list with wonderful wines by the glass.
Our server always came back to ask if we needed anything else without being overbearing.
The owner was gracious and welcoming.
A neighborhood gem
Amazing pasta... Good simple Italian. Great neighborhood restaurant.
yes iwould recc. but i would tell them to ask not to make the pasta to salty, as i found my linguini vongole
Sonny and Michael really took great care of us. The pasta and meatballs were outstanding. Very charming space. The lamb chops were a little overdone, I'm sure they'd have brought us a replacement if we asked. We'll definitely be back again!
Wait staff is so on top of it, friendly, efficient. So nice to dine at a small intimate restaurant in Beverly Hills that isn't filled with a lot of "phony" people. Food was good...not exceptional. Prices were mid-range. I would go back.
My husband and I loved Café Amici. It is an adorable cozy restaurant that offers inside or patio seating. Café Amici is located across the street from the Troubadour so it made it very convenient for us to have dinner before the show. We received outstanding service, the food was delicious, and the wine is affordable. The next time we are in town, we plan on dining there!
Generally, very pleasant and good food. My issue was the waiter. I really don't understand how he could recommend both a wine and a pasta there were double the price of the ones is asked about without mentioning a price. The $48+ bowl of pasta with truffle was sold to my 14 year old son.
Cafe Amici is a Beverly Hills neighborhood favorite. Located in the Beverly Terrace hotel. Classic, and charming. It sits on a street with potted trees for privacy. An out of the way place sorta, that if you aren't looking for it or happen by, you may never see it. Food is always very good. The place is quite small which is why it is so desired and has lasted. Fireplace ambience inside, and out door seating. Cozy and romantic. A little rough around the edges, but again, part of the charm.
We went for a Valentine’s Day dinner and it was wonderful. I was not aware of a fixed menu that night but nevertheless everything was wonderful. The service was the perfect balance between attentive and relaxed. Each of the four courses was prepared exquisitely along with a great selection of wine. We sat out on one of two patios that are lined with heaters for a cool night and it was tranquil to say the least. If you are looking for a nice night out somewhere that feels more like a small cafe in Italy rather than a huge restaurant in LA, then this is the place for you.
I really like this restaurant, it's in my neighborhood, the food is consistently good and so is the service. The only reason I didn't give the "Overall" experience 5 stars is because it was prix fixe and they didn't reveal that on their OpenTable page, or website when every other restaurant that I was looking to did. I don't like prix fix meals, especially at restaurants that I frequent and like certain items on the menu. I also always end up wasting food because it's just too much for me and my husband to eat. All in all the food was very good, but I could barely eat 1/4 of everything past the first course. I do recommend this restaurant, but they really must declare on their website and their OpenTable page when they are only serving prix fixe dinners.
Cafe Amici is a hidden gem. It’s great for business lunches and also dates. The outdoor space is so nice on a sunny day. Try the salmon!
Dining at Amici is like a mini vacation at a trattoria in Southern Italy. Beautiful, simple food. Beautiful rustic setting. We have eaten inside as well as on the lovely patio and enjoyed both experiences. Make sure you ask the chef about the ancient prison he owns in Tuscany!
Very attentive service and the food was very good. It felt like we were at a cafe in Europe.
Excellent food, ambience, wine list and service. The thin crusted Margarita pizza was excellent.
Had not been to Amici in several years and went with another couple who encouraged us to try. It has been totally redone and refreshed inside and out, and the food was amazing. We liked it so much that we returned again with another couple for the second week in a row, who like us used to go, but had not gone for several years. They loved it and we will all be going back. Great salads, pastas and fish - the Sea Bream/Orata in Italian was delicious (I had two weeks in a row!)and tonight I started with the vegetarian broccoli soup which was also great! The artichoke salad was also a hit with my husband and our friends.
If you haven’t tried in awhile. Add it to your list. You will have a lovely dinner and the new owner is delightful.
A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. The owner/manager, Emanuela, warmly greeted us and showed us to our table on the outdoor patio. We were promptly offered water and brought bread and menus. Both Emanuela and Victor, our server, waited on us, explaining the specials and offering suggestions but they were never overbearing, condescending or too invasive. They had an equal balance of being friendly and funny yet retaining a high level of professionalism. The food was fresh and delicious - on par with other West Hollywood italian restaurants we've experienced but at a more reasonable price-point. It's a small restaurant but you don't feel like you are on top of other guests. Nice jazz music sets a relaxed tone for dinner. It's a perfect spot for a date or small group because it's not too loud and they won't rush you out the door. We look forward to coming back again and making this a regular venue whenever we are in the area
Absolutely great meal, and great recommendations from server. Outside dining was plenty comfortable despite Mid January weather. Warm and friendly.
Love the food and the team is great. Always a smile and going out of their way to serve you. Thank you.
Amazing food, location, ambiance, service, etc...
Cafe Amici and staff was unbelievably inviting. My husband and I stopped in for dinner before seeing a show at the Troubadour and we had a wonderful experience. The menu has plenty of options. Both of our meals were delicious. Will definitely return next time we’re in town.
Victor was amazing. Had a great evening and the food was spectacular.
After a few sub par meals over the last couple of years we had moved on from Cafe Amici but decided to go back and try again since we live in the neighborhood. Our experience this time was greatly improved. Apparently now under hotel management the food, service and ambiance were all noticeably improved. Branzino and Chicken Milanese were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Value is also good as many entrees are priced in the low to mid $20 range. We are thrilled that Amici seems to have made a nice rebound!
Beautiful, small quaint place. Lovely and very authentic!
Just love this place :-)) We go regularly and have introduced lots of pals. Wonderful spot!!
Great food, atmosphere and service!
I had dinner reservations for 7:15 PM with an out-of-state friend. When we arrived the restaurant was completely full and we had to wait approximately 45 minutes. The owner/host was extremely concerned and while waiting brought us each a glass of champagne. The food and the service were excellent.
Food consistently good and courteous ownership/management group to boot
Excellent food and service, a very enjoyable evening.
Joy was spectacular and food was so good and ambiance was one of best! Fantastic! Exquisite!
Very sweet and attentive staff. Food is fabulous’
Wonderful overall experience!
What a gem of a find. Stayed at the Beverly Terrace Hotel for a business trip, and fortunate that the restaurant was a short walk from my room. Wait staff was amazing and my meal was made to perfection. I will definitely be back.
The lamb chops were outstanding!
Very nice intimate setting for a business lunch, large gathering or special meal. Great staff and food! Even had a couple gluten free options for my friend
Excellent food and although they were busy and short staffed, they took good care of us.
Love this place! I come and bring business associates pre-show regularly.
