I'd reduce the noise. The explanations were hard to understand because of the noise level and diction.

The 9 courses menu started really well, but at the end some of the main was ok! The highlights were the amuse-bouches, the crab with avocado, the bread, the duck and the pumpkin dessert (awesome!)! On the other hand, the frog of good but not incredible, the wagyu was quite disappointing and the fish was really flavoured but I was “awarded” with his bone :/

Service is excellent, they treasure our opinion. Make us feel welcomed and food served with very nice tempo. Food are exquitsite and delicate, not only good for photo, but they are magic in the mouth. Very unexpected flavour balanced well each other. we had 9 courses, 2 desserts (+1 complimentary ) are too much for me.

The food is both creative and exquisite, and also photogenic. The portion is larger than expected for that price, compared to those of the fine dining restaurants in Hong Kong. The staff is very kind and helpful. Their recommendations of wines pairing with the menu were perfect. They have got an impressive selection of wines, rare and savory. Be sure to spray mosquito repellent on cuz there will be a couple of them buzzing around and feeding on you... Overall, Canvas is so worth a try and it surely has brought an unforgettable experience to me and my fam!

The chef at Canvas is an absolute food virtuoso. Everything dish was not only a visual piece of art, but also mouth watering. Although the cost was high, over all it seemed fair when compared to the quality of everything. The staff was genuinely friendly, not at all stuffy, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, until the time we left. This is a welcome addition to Thonglor which can, at times, can be a snobby area of Bangkok. For sure we will return, and have already recommended Canvas to several of our friends. Fabulous job!!

A truly outstanding meal. A very low key vibe belies the expertly crafted dishes. The staff is attentive and highly educated in the dishes and ingredients and the chef also visits to explain some of his more creative efforts. The food was on par with my experience at Atelier JR although the wine offerings were more limited than that as befitting the much more casual atmosphere.

Some of the food was really good (snack, rice bread and duck), some other in the tasting menu (like the fish or the pork) not really rich in taste.

Service was really good, optimal to offer a good experience to the client.

Not sure overall it is worth the price though.

Spectacular dining experience that you can rarely discover in Bangkok. The ingredients are sourced locally and are cooked perfectly in the Western cuisine. It is very impressive how chef using the modern approach with Thai original ingredient without losing authentic taste. Perfect!

Special occasion for my girlfriends birthday (mentioned prior) resulting in a very nice extra desert and ‘happy birthday’ sung by the waiter/waitresses
Exceptional food - for the quality, about half price compared to fine dining in UK, wine tasting menu was on balance, probabaly not worth it but the food was delightful
Very much enjoyed the chefs explaining each course and where the ingredients were sourced etc

A truly outstanding experience and one of the very best meals I've ever had. I had the nine course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was perfection from beginning to end. Although it is obviously not traditionally Thai cuisine, it truly sticks to its principle of balancing sweet, salty, spicy and sour, as well as textures. Each course is perfectly crafted, an utter delight both for the eye and the palate. The wine selection was spot on, a perfect match to the dishes. The service was lovely, prompt and managed to be both friendly and unobtrusive. Very highly recommended and one of the top reasons I can't wait to return to Bangkok.

From the food in the 9 course set menu, to the amazing selection of fine wines Canvas Bangkok was intriguing and satisfying. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely well trained. My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed every course, especially the duck, the bone marrow & the cashew nut desert. The flavours were simple, yet elegant and enticing. The mysterious mood lighting kept us wondering and intrigued of what was to come next.

Would highly recommend Canvas, to anyone wanting to experience food lust at it's highest.

My husband and I ate here just last night and still can’t stop talking about it and dreaming of the food we had! SO AMAZING. We did the 9 course tasting menu and paired it with a riesling and gavi followed by a barbera [excellent wine selection]. The presentation, flavors and variety of food was incredible. We were not disappointed with anything. We did sit at the bar counter which I’d highly recommend because you can see them in action and get a little more info from the chef. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and it’s impeccably clean. Riley and his team are awesome. Natalia and the rest of the staff is great, too. So friendly and inviting. I’m very happy we stumbled upon Canvas. We’ll DEFINITELY be back when we’re in Bangkok next time!

Peculiar concept
Visited on 4.1.2018. After reading a lot of positives about the restaurant, which opened in April 2017, I was very interested to experience it in reality. The entrance to the place looks great. Unfortunately, the reception by the Russian employee was not very cordial. In the restaurant, the open kitchen occupies the most space, the tables for the guests seem a bit marginalized. Guests with their backs to the kitchen are allowed to stare at the wall. Because a mirror, so to see something, they have spared. We came to the restaurant in the absolute high season and were amazed to find it only about 20% occupied.
The guests are motivated to order a tasting menu, because they keep the normal card so small that hardly anyone finds something. I was greatly disturbed by the fact that they serve the guest Evian water without asking, as if there is no reasonable water in Thailand. The wine list shows exorbitantly high prices and obvious disinterest of the management to offer good value for money wines. From the features described in the press, such as operation with gloves, addressing the guests by name or free bread baskets, we have noticed nothing.
The food offered is a fusion of Thai cuisine with international fantasy components. It all tastes very interesting and well prepared, but it does not turn out to be an eye-opener. The price level is completely inappropriately high, as if you were dining in a eatery with white tablecloths and silver cutlery and not at bare wooden tables. I can not understand how this concept should ever lead to economic success. I give the restaurant 89 out of 100 points and can imagine that I will come back after a long time to see if a turn to reason has set in.
