Came to celebrate a birthday for the first time at Catch. I read the reviews before hand about the terrible service and the rude staff. I really didnt think much of this.

I had a reservation at 8:45. We arrived on time and checked in. The hostess told us that they would come get us in just a few moments. That few moments turned into 30 minutes of waiting and im not over exaggerating this. We sat at the table at exactly 9:22. I mean for starters idk why they do reservations if they have not enough tables ( which is what they said to me). Also the guests who came after us happened to be seated before us as well whoch is when i lost it. We were a party of 2 people.

They have a horrible system upfront. There are so many people just waiting for the tables. The hostess then literally walks around trying to find the person by their name. However they dont yell out the name or ask if your so’n’so. She litterally walked back and forth trying to match a face to a name. I mean what kind of system is this. I had to ask her who are you looking for.

We finally got seated at our table. Now the tables are toghtly packed cause they literally stuffed as many tables as they could.
Honestly i didnt have a bad experience with my waiter i did sense some talking back but they werent very polite.

At this point to i thought the food must be so good that they have so many negative reviews and remain packed. But the food was just OK. I paid 79$ for a new york steak. I wouldnt say it blew my mind. Was really the same as outback. I wouldve rather went to Mastros Steakhouse and paid 65$ for steak and had an amazing meal. The chicken was also okay nothing special.

Dessert was amazing thats what thry famous for. We had the HitMe dessert.

Overall, i dont think i would ever find myself back here. There are better places in LA

This place just has a Name so people want to come butni wasn’t really impressed. Definitely need new staff training.

The hostesses were extremely rude I can’t believe how they spoke to us . We got a raised eyebrow and a “you got here only ten minutes ago” when we mentioned that we were waiting for twenty minutes past our reservation time . We actually had waited 28 minutes . The response was catty and the attitude was unbelievable.

Food was average and the place is overpriced . Not worth the hype at all

We had a 7:30pm reservation but didn’t get seated until close to 8pm. Would’ve been nice if someone came to inform us.

Very loud so hard to hear people on your party talking.

Do not waste your time. This place sucks. terrible service, crappy food, SO overpriced. We left mid-way through to go eat across the street, and there were two other couples who had left catch as well!

Everything was excellent except for the fact that 4 of our 7 dishes came out in the first 10 minutes. It felt like they were rushing to turn the table. We had to request that they slow down and properly course put the dishes.

My partner and I decided to splurge for date night here and boy were we impressed! Everything was simply delicious. Our waiter was Jeremy who did a great job of helping us navigate the menu options. We ended up taking his recommendations and were thrilled! Our favorite was the sashimi in truffle sauce.

The place was very busy and the aisles were a bit crowded around the bar, but the vibe was good and the noise level didn’t affect the evening. The food and ambiance were excellent on their own but hands down the cherry on top was Jeremy. Engaging, knowledgeable, and perfect timing: he knew when to be present and when to give us space.

Absolutely will be back!

Catch LA is great for a fun, lively dinner. My service was great! I was on crutches and had a walking boot and I found it to be annoying that the hostess made me wait 20 minutes ever after I had a reservation. I don’t like the fact they didn’t accommodate me right away. Overall, I love this place and enjoy the food but it’s very over priced. You get extremely small portions.

The Truffle Sashimi was spectacularly delicious but it went downhill from there. The Scallop & Cauliflower was good. The Lobster Roll wasn't a "sushi roll" but a sandwich and less than ok. The Crispy Whole Snapper ($87) was so dry and tasteless we only had 3 or 4 sections (it was cut into bite size sections after presented whole) trying to find any moist sections and didn't even bother with finishing it. The waiter noticed the uneaten portion and asked if all was ok. We said it was extremely dry. He comp'd a desert.

Food was amazing and so was the service. Server was very attentive during the dinner and informative when talking about the menu. Support staff were efficient in cleaning tables and glasses making sure anything unnecessary on the table was taken away. Everything was amazing, however, the sushi rolls weren’t anything special. Prices are pretty reasonable considering it’s West Hollywood. My friend and I had a couple drinks each, 4 or 5 small plates, a snapper to share and dessert and was about $300. We were definitely full after leaving. Overall, great experience.

The food was absolutely AMAZING! It was our first time in LA and we wanted to try various restaurants; I regret not also coming here to try their Brunch. The martinis and food were impeccable! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile, everyone was super nice, our waiter was very informative & gave us great recommendations! They played GREAT music while we ate, and it wasn’t too loud as to where you couldn’t have a conversation. I give this restaurant 10 stars! My wish is that they expand and open a CATCH in Washington, DC! I’d come at least twice a week! 🥰

The lighting in the room is ridiculous. You cannot see a thing. SO DARK for no reason. Everyone had their phone flashlights on to read a menu.
The wine we ordered took forever to make it to our table....claimed had to go to basement cellar. So maybe true...who knows. But the place was not busy when we got there at 6PM on a Monday and yet we got the table right by the kitchen door......REALLY????? I love the food and have been numerous times to NYC and Vegas versions of Catch, but not a fan of this one. No need to go back.

My girlfriend was served her main course 15 minutes before I received my food & the waiter obviously did not try to time anything. I was a waiter at a sushi restaurant before & I understand timing can be an issue of serving a hot meal with sushi but we both got sushi. 15 minutes of her waiting for my food to be served was annoying. Food was great, service was below average.

This place is all “scene”. The food was ok. Just ok. Way overpriced. It’s one of those “get several small plates to share” restaurants. It’s beautiful but not worth the money. Will not be returning but glad I went once

We had a reservation for 5:30 and my friend ending up being a half hour late and they didn’t give our table away. The staff was friendly and respectful, and the atmosphere was super fun and we had a great time. Aw, the food! Great vegan/ vegetarian options and the drinks were really good as well. Favorite dish was the crispy cauliflower and favorite drink was “One Too Many”.

Will definitely be going back soon!
