Tried the days special, just unbelievably good!!
From the moment you enter the restaurant, you know your someplace special! The hostess was so friendly, the aroma, the candle lit atmosphere all set the stage for the fabulous meal which awaits! We started with the steamed dumplings then on to,the salmon Panang curry. Delicious!!! Great cocktails and quick and friendly service made the evening all the more delightful!
New wave Thai cuisine. The pan seared sea bass is outstanding. Service was impeccable.
Amazing dining experience! The food was phenomenal, I highly recommend the octopus salad and the pineapple chicken. Service was great as well and I loved the ambiance, I can't wait to be back!
Great food and service. Maria was wonderful and super helpful and attentive. Will definitely come back here.
New Years Eve
All was great
My friends and I reserved a table for an early New Years Eve dinner. Our server was pleasant, attentive and offered great recommendations. We also noticed the manager on the floor greeting guests and helping to ensure a great dining experience for all the guests. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. This was a first visit for many in our party and we were all very pleased with the presentation and taste of the food and cocktails. The ambiance and great service helped make our celebration memorable — thank you! We look forward to visiting Chai Yo again!
Excellent atmosphere and ambiance. Great service and delicious variety of food choices. Beautiful presentation!!
Overpriced and underwhelming. Stuck me in am awful table that was separated from the restaurant and refused to move me even though there were other options available. Food was nothing special and service was awkward.
I truly loved my dining experience at Chai Yo Modern Thai! Thai is my favorite food and everything was amazing. Thanks an amazing New Year Eve!
The service and food quality were both outstanding. Excellent value. An added reason to visit Buckhead.
Really great food!!!! Service is awesome. The lobster coconut soup was probably the best coconut soup I have eaten. You didn’t have to hunt for the lobster, it had many large chunks.
Wonderful upscale Thai restaurant with great food and service. The chef/owner came over and introduced herself. They were very kind on my birthday. Definitely will return.
Very good food and service. We will be returning.
Excellent food and service! We will definitely be back!
The food was delicious and the ambiance was great!
Great meal with family from afar on Xmas Day. Very happy that they were open. Food excellent.
Christmas Dinner food toke awhile to come out but the taste made up for it .
One of the most memorable meals I have had. Everything was excellent! I will definitely be back.
Service was top notch all night, very attentive. Food was excellent, we had the Beef Cheeks and Lamb Chops and both were great. Price seemed slightly high to rate 5 stars for value, but, will be back again.
Chai Yo is wonderful! DeeDee and her team are amazing! We enjoy Chai Yo every time we visit! The food is so fresh and just wonderful. I always enjoy it! Can't wait until our next visit!
We were so excited to dine here for my husband’s birthday. Our table for two was very close to the table for two next to us, which was fine until they started chatting up their waitress, who then called the owner over and also whom I assume was the manager and both were gushing over this older couple to the point it completely ruined our dinner. My husband and I couldn’t even talk to each other because all we could hear was the owner and some guy (manager maybe?) chatting up the couple next to us for almost 10 mins. I’m glad she valued them visiting her restaurant, because we most definitely will not be back. The food was fine, but portions were small and tables for two were too close together combined with the ridiculous gushing over the older couple next to us. If the owner remembers this situation tonight, I hope she realizes she ruined my husband’s birthday dinner. Very disappointed.
From entry to exit everything was immaculate. The service was excellent , food was divine, ambiance perfect and parking easy.
I can’t really think of anything like anything that went wrong. Our server was very pleasant and very prompt. They made us feel so welcomed. We were celebrating two belated birthdays. They got two plate with ice cream with happy birthday written on the plates. We were aweee but it. Our chats were checked in. Every time we went in and out we were welcomed back. Restaurant closes at 11. We were not rushed until we realized we are holding them up.
Every dish we ordered was delicious. On par. The owner stopped by to check on us. Drinks were awesome.
It’s very very hard to find a place like such. Thank you so so much. Loved it.
Great for groups or for date or even family or GNO apt business meals.
Love the food and the owner. Food was super good!
Excellent food and service.
Food and ambience was delightful, service not so much. Shannon our waitress repeated several times the kitchen was closing and made her point clear when she took our side plates only being half way done with our appetizers and without asking if we were done as the Entrees were on the way. We felt rushed even though there were two other tables seated and a few people still at the bar.
The food was excellent!!the Chef/Owner gave us recommendations in line with our preferences and they were superb.
The service by all personnel was above standards.
The Chef and waiter made us feel at home.
High end Thai food!!
Chai Yo serves mediocre Thai food at a very inflated price. The basil role tasted more like a lettuce role. Neither my friend nor I could taste any basil. The beef cheeks were good but not for the price. They delivered the wrong dish to the table, but graciously offered a free dessert for their mistake. There are many comparable Thai restaurants for a third of the price. I would not recommend Chai Yo.
Great friendly service and sharp staff!
Discussed with staff making reservation for anniversary and given special VIP. Loved staff, environment, and especially the food. Thanks Dee Dee and staff.
significant disappointment relative to other members of the Nan family
Great food and service. A favorite place for nice dinner.
Our greeting by the hostess was exceptionally gracious and friendly. She welcomed us back since we had been there before. The interior design is equivalent to any five star New York restaurant. Shannon’s (yes a Thai lady with the name of Shannon))service, explanation of the foods and service was attentive but not overbearing. Finally, the food quality from the larb to the beef cheeks to the lemon grass dessert was subtle and tasty. The presentation was also special. Not your grandfathers old Thai restaurant.
One in our party had a wonderful meal while the other was average. Recommend the tapioca dumplings and beef cheeks. Also the mai tai. Waitress was swamped with tables but she did an awesome job.
My favorite place for excellent Thai food, outstanding service and beautiful atmosphere. When you enter, you step out of frenetic Atlanta and into a respite of calm and graciousness. Even when the restaurant is busy, you are treated as a valued guest. The food is beautiful and delicious and captures the flavors of Thailand. At lunch, the bento box is a special treat. Dinner's menu is diverse, interesting and luscious. The wine list is small but carefully curated.
One of our favorite Atlanta restaurants not only for Thai but overall great food and service
As a frequent diner at Tuk Tuk this was my first experience at Chai Yo. I loved it. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed and comfortable. They have a good wine list and very creative cocktails and juices. I enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar before my customers arrived and had the opportunity to meet Dee Dee, owner and chef. She couldn't have been nicer to me and gave me some great recommendations on the food options. Ethan was our server and very helpful as well. My recommendations are the Octopus Salad (I love octopus and this is easily one of the best I have ever had). The Chili Dip - Amazing- I could eat it as a meal. As for main courses - the Sea Bass was delicious and creatively prepared with a sweet/savory peppercorn sauce that wasn't over powering. The Beef Cheeks are unlike any dish I have had and I will absolutely get that when I go back. This is a top spot in Atlanta. you won't be disappointed.
Had a very pleasant dinner date here. The food is deep and flavorful. Beautifully presented and has serious love involved in the preparation. Head and shoulders about most Thai places when it comes to the quality of the ingredients and preparation. Rent here has got to be insane, so that explains the prices being a bump up for a strip mall or someplace like that. That being said, the room is beautiful and the staff was very friendly.
