Dined at this venue for Father's Day. At first impression as we entered the building there were outside diners seated with a large dog. The restaurant inside was a vibrant scene (no pets in sight). The food was good overall. We started with fried green tomatoes which were excellent. The chicken and pulled pork were a little dry for my taste. I did expect more of a smokey bbq flavor which was minimal. The cornbread came to the table in a small skillet, but it was cold with a dollop of cold butter. The sides were very good especially coleslaw. Our main server seemed slow to check on table. However, the other attending staff were very attentive. One nice touch at the end was hot towels for wiping our hands. Had the chocolate cake Ala mode for dessert, very good! It was a nice experience, but will probably not visit again.

I have been coming here for many years. Th ribs are great, along with the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes. They've recently changed the bake beans. The beans might as well have been van kamps out of a can. The new beans are a failure.

Have dined here several times, but never experienced the problems with service that we did this time, which was unfortunate as we were celebrating a special occasion (HS graduation)....and to add insult to injury the restaurant added 20% tip automatically to our bill

The food was outstanding. I am visiting from Boston and wanted to try all new and different places. I’ve never had better bbq. The one annoying part was we had reservations for 845. We got there on time and were asked if we wanted to sit at a high top right by the door. I said I would rather sit at a table. Then she told me it was an hour wait for a table? I was confused bc we had reservations and had these for over a week.

The chicken wings alone worth coming back for again and again! Everything else was remarkable! My 16-year old proclaimed the food to be the best ever))) And the 11-year old was super excited about his hamburger.
The only problem we had was trying to find the place. The maps directions were incorrect. 3 blocks off.

This Gold Coast BBQ spot was truly delightful. The service was top notch and all the meats were cooked so well - juicy and tender! It was the perfect spot for my bf's birthday and they also had some great cocktails and whiskey options! Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Very good BBQ. Burnt Ends w/Coleslaw, brisket chili were particular standouts. Pulled chicken and pulled pork were also noteworthy for the flavor that they were able to impart in the meats - which is impressive as good pulled chicken and pulled pork are rarely memorable. Specialty cocktails are of the usual variety - and are crafted well - but the use of brown sugar in their simple syrup gave my Old fashion a molasses finish which was particularly well suited to the southern style bbq. Enjoyed the experience very much and will return before the summer dims.

I had a wonderful experience! I chose this restaurant for my 23rd birthday celebration with a few of my girlfriends. I love BBQ from the South so, this place had some high standards to meet. It surpassed! We sat outside which has the cutest white and blue patio with string lights (insert heart eyes). The cocktail menu is simple and tasty. We all ordered the Q lemonade- it was a well made vodka lemonade with presentation as a plus! We got the Bacon Cheddar Hush Puppies as an app. As far as dinner, I ordered the Pitmaster Mac N’ Cheese with Pulled Pork - it was so amazing! It was baked in a skillet to perfection. All 4 BBQ sauces are served with the entrees. Service was great- all staff was attentive however, not overbearing!

Great food. Very filling. You could honestly eat some of the sides as your full meal. They have a great old fashion as well. We sat outside and it was very cute. My only issue is that we had a reservation and they sat us in a cramped table by the server's corner and trash.

I was kind of frustrated that the restaurant messed up, and there was absolutely no sense of urgency. I get a note during my meal, that my opentable restaurant was canceled, and then I can't pull up my $60 opentable card. So I go to the host and ask, and they are like oh here, I put it back in, but I still can't pull up the card, so they say they will get opentable on the phone. After about 10 minutes sitting at the table, I google opentable and call them myself. About 10 minutes later I get someone on the phone, and the host comes over to say they can't find the number, I say don't worry I found it. The opentable rep was super helpful and got me a new card, which I then gave to my server. They did a couple of other things and took it up to the manager to put in. 15 minutes later finally the updated bill came. Basically 40 minutes end to end. No apology, nothing.

Our last day in Chicago and we wanted to try another restaurant serving ribs. We were not disappointed. My son had the brisket and he loved it. We requested for fast service to catch our flight and we had our food in no time. We were able to relish it. The place is big so a big group can surely be accommodated. Would come back if ever we are back in Chicago.

After waiting 30 mins, they tell us they forgot to give our order to the kitchen. They didn’t offer us anything while we waited another 30 mins. Once we got our food, we asked for 2 more glasses of wine which they also forgot...
Until the bill came where they suddenly remembered the wine and tried to charge us.

I was a party of 9. Everyone enjoyed their meals except me. I got the chicken and waffles. Cold waffles and the chicken was heavily breaded rather tasteless and the pieces were small. 2 thighs a wing and a leg.

Had a very poor experience at Q this weekend. The service was not it’s standard quality for their dining. Waitress took our order and never returned to the table, had to ask for water at the table from multiple people before anyone actually brought it over and part of food never brought until we kept asking. Unfortunately not a pleasant meal which is very unusual for a neighborhood spot we love, despite holiday weekend

Mac & Cheese with Brisket was AMAZING. We all enjoyed our food - and some attendees were were on a low carb diet, so it was perfect.
Hush puppies had a very crispy exterior, just okay. But, all the meat, cornbread, apps and bourbon flights were a hit!
Great, relaxing atmosphere - like you're at someone's home. Yum!

We were seated right by the door, and every time it opened a gust of wind would blow into the restaurant, making it a very chilly dining experience! We asked to be moved, but it appears that wasn’t possible. Our waitress, Hannah, was incredibly slow and rude throughout the night. She ignored our table every time she walked by, and we had to attempt to call her over multiple times before we were able to place our order. Two of the orders came out incorrectly (apparently mashed potatoes and mac and cheese sound the same) and instead of apologizing, she just made a face and said “oh you wanted this (insert menu item) instead?” There are enough great restaurants in Chicago, that I definitely won’t be back to this one!
