The Chicago Rib Shack is a London favourite, serving All-American greats including a selection of mouth-watering ribs, juicy burgers and mind-blowingly good chicken - accompanied perfectly by our infamous Onion Loaf (which is still made to the same recipe)! All our ribs are smoked for hours over apple-wood, while our burgers are lovingly hand-minced. Both are served alongside dangerously good milkshakes, classic American craft beers and homemade Ice Teas and Lemonades.

From the start we were not acknowledged so eventually sat down even though I had booked a table. After being ignored at the table I asked for the menu. We ordered food and drinks. Eventually drinks turned up and then the food. The first burger turned up with fries and looked good. After a while the second burgers turned up minus the chips which turned up later. The name for the burger is very appropriate The Bic Mic. It is described as a double patty burger. What I wasn't expecting is for them to break a single patty in half and try to pass it off. Definitely taking the Mic. At this point we called the waitress who then started giving us attitude. She went and got the Manager who sat down and tried to justify that this was correct, they halve a patty for the Big Mic. After pointing out that the description on the menu is 2 Patty not one ripped in half he said he would refund one burger but as we had ordered 2 of them that was not acceptable. He then offered for us just to pay for drinks or he would recook the food. By this time it had taken so long we didnt want to wait anymore so chose to eat what little we had. As we had a dine card it gave 25% off the total bill. Even though the food had not been charged we were still entitled to use it but was told it didnt apply as it did not cover alcohol. It states it gives 25%off the total bill. At this point the attitude of the waitress was totally unacceptable and down right rude. The Manager who was cooking agreed the bill as per the offer and we went to pay. The waitress was now so rude she had no manners and started swearing at my partner while she was trying to pay. If we hadn't had such a poor experience we would not have pushed using the dine card offer. They were more concerned in turning around take away orders than serving the people sitting down. We were not the only people experiencing the attitude and bad service of the establishment. Ruined a special occasion for our son and would never go back again.
