Owner Soraya Rendon and Chef Natalie Oswald are the masterminds behind Chilam Balam restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. Warm colored walls and Southwestern decor draw you in to the cool atmosphere. Not only is this a great place to feast your eyes on, but your appetite will be satisfied here as well. The food at Chilam Balam is unique and flavorful. What makes the meals unique is that the dishes do not contain unnatural ingredients such as corn syrup and MSG. The Mexican shared plates are created with local farm fresh ingredients. Choose a variety of small plates to share such as chunky guacamole with handmade tostadas, or mahi mahi ceviche. The menu changes every few weeks based on what is available and fresh. Chilam Balam has a BYOB option, which allows you to bring your beverage of choice.
