Smoked Salmon - Seafood Salad
We very much enjoyed every aspect of our meal
While the food quality was great, the meat service was very slow. It was very busy with several large parties so that may have played a part. It seemed the meat options only made it to our table every 10-15 mins and oftentimes, selections were repeats of what we had already received. We left after two hours, still not after receiving many of the options we requested.
We went for a friends birthday. Our server was great and checked on us regularly but the food took forever to come to us, we had to ask for the food to come to us several times even when we had our coins on orange on the table.
After dining at Chima on several occasions, the most recent was not nearly as pleasant as those in the past.
Our server was nice however you could tell he wasn’t able to provide the level of service we have had before. He did remember our Anniversary and when we asked for our tab he brought out the strawberry cheesecake that we rushed to enjoy as the crowd near us continued to get louder as the reason we were ready to leave. I hate I don’t remember our servers name. He did his best to provide great service.
We had to ask for the gauchos to come to the table. Every time.
Manager noticed we weren’t getting good service and fixed the issue for the rest of the night. Atmosphere was loud and close to other parties
The service was horrific - from our waiter who’s only job was to bring beverages- never brought wine until reminder- never brought coke until reminder - and then we asked several waiters to refill water and never did - I had to get up and grab pitcher myself.
The people who bring food out were scarce and then wouldn’t even look at tables to see if chips were orange. Several items on the salad buffet were empty too and never refilled.
One of the worst experiences ever - and it’s not CHEAP.
Great food but service was lacking. Have been here many times before
Amazing as always! Love bringing family, friends & clients here.
Service sucked . Had to keep asking for meats . Waiter never asked if we would like more drinks , had to keep getting the mangers to make waiter do his job . Very unsatisfied . It was a table of 5 of us . When meat finally came they would only give to 1 or 2 of us and then leave the table without serving the whole table .
First time back since pandemic.
As always, great service and experience. We all enjoyed it.
Food was great, but the service was slow. I had to request for meats to be brought to my table. We would go for periods up to 10 minutes with no meats being brought to our table.
My waiter Daniela was so so nice and attentive. Offered us drinks and kept bringing back bread immediately once we were done with it. Refilled water constantly. I’ll always recommend her. She gave up the best service & dining experience.
It was a bit offensive that gratuity was already included on a party of 2 when we were going to tip more.
Long time Chima customer - yesterday was the worst experience I've ever had. Perhaps it was the table location (right up front by the lobby), but we waited almost an hour before we saw certain meat options brought to our table, despite asking our server and one of the managers several times to direct them our way. It also seemed like there were not enough meat servers working last night.
For the first time in more than 10 trips to Chima, I felt like I did not get my money's worth! I was VERY disappointed.
I don’t recommend the seating that backs up to the bar. That areas is forgotten. Servers only paid attention to the bigger group behind us and never attempted to make eye contact with us or stop at our table. We had the markers faced up indicating we wanted service but they were not looked at. Once we were able to flag someone down (which I don’t like to do), we had to request the trays that skipped us on multiple occasions.
Slow service, including missed orders. We asked twice for a particular cut of meat and salmon, never showed up. Additionally, some items were never presented to us. We paid about $60/person which could have given us a good steak elsewhere with responsive and attentive service.
The meats and salad bar and soup are, as always, out of this earthly world. There was a little dessert speed bump, but that will be resolved by our n=ext visit, we trust.
The waiter added his own tip of 18%! He told me about it when he gave me the bill to sign. Then he walked away. I am guessing he added his own tip because I used two prepaid cards and they want to ensure the tip is based on the full amount, not the amount after the prepaid cards were deducted. He could have handled it better, though.
Bottom line: The service and food was excellent. I would have tipped at least 20%. But the waiter’s avarice marred the experience. There is nothing genteel or courteous about Chima putting their hand in the diner’s pocket at the end of the meal. Not sure I would ever go again.
I LOVE Chima Steakhouse!! I usually go to the one in Charlotte, NC and this location is better!! I love the huge bar area. The food is ALWAYS AMAZING!!!
Awesome food and Service. Will most definitely go back again
The first half of our dining experience was great. But the second half is where things went wrong. We asked for a couple of different meats, ended up waiting 30 mins, none of what we asked for came, despite asking a couple of different folks. My friend ended up getting two of the cuts she asked for, by this time, I just was over it so I decided not to have anything else. Something like this happens every time we come here so it just makes me wonder, is it how they get patrons to eat less meats and fill up on the salad bar?
Food was great. Servers were very amiable and helpful. Everything was excellent.

Good, fresh selection. Really like this restaurant
Micheal was a great server very attentive love dinning here
Very good food. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Service was not as attentive as usual.
More attention from servers would of made the dining experience better. Understand it was a busy evening, but not even a singe water refill, not asking for a another drinks, and kept turning my head around looking for a server made the experience unpleasant.
Meat Service was a little slower than it usually is. Other than that it was another great experience.
We love this place and we always come back but this time the service was very poor, our server barely made it to our table and we waited a lot to try the meats.
Great time, great food. We go every year to celebrate birthdays.
Been here a few times, last night for a 30th birthday party we had to get the servers attention more than 3 times! Also, meat never came even when we requested it! Bad evening at Chima…
The food is always good. The lamb chop was delicious and I’m definitely coming back again. The staff are very friendly and super attentive to everyone.
We liked the place. Surprisingly it was some new food that we didn't try in other steak houses.
Server Andrew was polite but very slow.
We were not offered a lot of the the meats that were brought to the tables next to us.
The server added the tip to our check probably thinking that we were not going to tip him.
The server never asked us if we liked the food , if there was any meat that we wanted to try or have more of .
The carvers are doing a great job and they are very friendly I wish they were the ones taking care of us. And i did tip 20% because I know that the carvers get part of the tip.
My wife and I decided to try Chima for the first time because we were celebrating our aniversary but I don’t think we will be coming back mainly because of the service there was no sense of urgency at all.
Everything was great. The only thing is we sat for a while till our plates were cleared. But other than that it was excellent.
Always quality food and friendly staff at Chima’s. It’s a little loud and hard to have a conversation with your party but it’s nice that things are returning to normal.
