Great food and really good service. I will be back soon
Really good food and atmosphere! I rarily give restaurants 5 stars but this was a very pleasant surprise! Will come back!
Great food, wonderful service, outdoor beauty! Love how they first serve focaccia with an anchovy olive oil. Bruschetta is delicious. Good pizza choices. I had the gnochetti with pesto which was a healthy serving and fragrant with garlic/basil. Others had spaghetti and meatballs and a seafood pasta. We were all very pleased.
Nice ambience, beautiful patio dining, and best of all was the delicious food, from the salad, entree, main course, freshly made pastas, and dessert. This is one of our local favorites and the best Italian food in Orange County.
We LOVE Ciao! We love the food! Amazing service! We go there at least once a week!
We were pleasantly surprised at this gem of a restaurant. It was so good. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the wine list was also excellent.
Excellent meal and service
Love the patio and food here!
Fabulous food, great ambiance!
Went here to show my sister my favorite Italian restaurant in San Juan.. unfortunately (maybe due to the size of our party of 10) it wasn’t as great as I remembered.. my ribeye was over cooked and the others were under cooked..
pasta people were happy with their meal . Just felt rushed and I don’t like they add your tip for you.
I would not of tipped 20 % for the service we received.. bummed
Great food drinks and service!
It was busy when we were there (8:30pm on a Friday), so there were some delays getting the server's attention, but once we did they were very pleasant and nice despite the rush.
Food was good, we got carbonara and short-rib as our mains. We were happy with both.
Great restaurant, one of our favorites over the years. Does not disappoint.
We had a quiet table for my birthday dinner. The beet appetizer was good but we ran out of bread way before we finished it. The capellini was fair with overcooked tomatoes and a boring sauce. The fruti di mare looked good. The decaf double espressos were very generous portions served in regular sized coffee cups. We sat next to flowering plants that must have seen better days.
The branzino was excellent, fresh, masterfully prepared, well balanced with grilled vegetables. Wait staff were courteous and very friendly. Outdoor patio seating is very comfortable and has a nice ambience. Very satisfying experience overall. Keep up the good work and very importantly do not raise prices beyond reason, which was the primary factor for me to leave my former to-go place behind.
Nice patio area, fine service, but the food was really not very good.
Bread and oil dip - very tasty.
Calamari - rubbery, some pieces were not edible.
Carbonara- tasty, rich, and full of bacon.
Pizza - raw dough, the waiter took it back to try to cook it more but it was not salvageable. They kindly removed it from the bill.
The place does get quite a crowd and has a festive atmosphere.
It may have just been an off night in the kitchen.
Very good food. Owner was very accommodating even though we were his last of the night reservation. Looking forward to next time.
This is my favorite place to get gluten free pasta out of all the ones i’ve tried.
Really pretty location right across from San Juan Cap Mission. Yummy Italian food, salads and pizza.
The food and service were excellent !! Love the outdoor patio. My only issue was that the older gentleman who was the host, and seating people, needs to smile and have a better attitude!
Great food, great friendly service
Loved to see so many servers that I work with!! Service was top notch!!! Food, delish. Ambience- fantastic!! Highly recommend!
branzino was dry... pizza oven not working..
I did have lunch there once and the cesaer is good...
Too expensive for what you get.
Very few vegetables with the pasta dishes.
We go to Chip Pasta at least once a month, sometimes more. The food is always great.
Great as always
Been here many times consistently very good. Out door patio very charming.
Great dinner at Ciao - good service, delicious food. Will return again soon.
Polite and attentive service. Food, as always, was excellent.
Incredible and amazing experience. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is so well done and cooked to perfection. Pasta cooked al dente and tasted wonderful . Same attentive waiter who remembered us, providing us with world class customer service. This restaurant never disappoints.
We brought friends- everyone loved their dinners.
Alway good food and service!!
Good food, casual atmosphere, unpretentious restaurant for OC
Will definitely return
My husband and I love this restaurant. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious. I ordered the lobster ravioli. It's excellent. The sauce is like a lobster bisque. So much flavor. The pastas are also wonderful. Service was top notch. This is a nice find for us and we will keep coming back.
An absolute must dining experience! Food was amazing. I had the Bistec and my Wife had the Sea Bass and both were cooked to perfection. Miguel was our server and he took care of us as if we were his family !! I’ll be back soon
I have dined here several times. Always on the patio. Lovely experience. The food has always been consistently good and the service was excellent
We absolutely love ciao pasta! The best pizza this side of Rome! The meatballs are the best I’ve ever had and the bruschetta is fabulous. Truly a gem in San Juan Capistrano.
Can't wait to go back and try something else. Great food. Beautiful night on the patio and a play at the mission afterwards.
Food was well seasoned and prepared perfectly. Service was attentive and helpful.
Pretty good experience overall
