This was our first time at Cooper’s Hawk! It was excellent. The service and food were amazing. My husband got the pork chop and my daughter and I got two different Gnocchi dishes. They were all great. The desserts weren’t bad, either. Wine was amazing. Definitely coming back!

Loud environment and we waited a while for our food also my wife’s dish was changed from what the menu described and waitress should’ve made us aware. I also had to ask for refills and ice several times. Felt like we we stuck in two person side table and forgot about.

The experience was great and Rachael our server was excellent. The food was not ideal. I ordered the risotto and it was not risotto but white rice. I replaced my entree with the lemon herb salmon and it was delicious. The drinks werent that great either. I think the place is so popular because of the wine bar. Everything else is average.

Alpharetta's Best Restaurant is Cooper's Hawk- the menu has been revised and expanded and is divine with creative selections like the Thai Lettuce Wraps and other appetizers, and a wode array of soups, salads, lunch entree and dinner entree selections, and cocktails and wines to pair with your choices. There is a special Chef's Daily menu, an expansive wine list, and a bar menu. The dining room is not too loud and there are several areas to sit and enjoy your meal which is beautifully plated and served by well trained staff.

We had an incredible happy hour there before going to the Santana concert at Ameris. It is the perfect spot to meet, eat and travel to the concert in one car. The food was excellent and I especially recommend the sliders. If you’re lucky enough to have Corey as your server, you will have a wonderful time. One person in our party did not like his drink. The young lady who was serving the drinks was more than accommodating. We were just going to buy another drink and she said no, if you don’t like it, I will get you a new drink. We we were surprised and happy. We will definitely go back there

My plate sat so long under the heat lamp that the butter and oil separated from the sauces and from the potatoes and my dish came out with a plate oven hot and looking like butter soup. Because food took so long there was no time to send back as we were late for a movie. After our food runner delivered the food. The server never came back anyway to check. We ate our meal because we were hungry. Server came back when we were about 80% through and asked us if we wanted to see a dessert menu.. we declined and he said I’ll go get your check and drop the check off. We weren’t even done with our mediocre meals and hadn’t asked for the check

FAQs

Yes, make requests when you reserve. The restaurant recommends reservations and guests frequently suggest calling ahead for seating preferences (booth, patio, early seating), accessibility needs, celebrating special occasions or menu requests. Because guests report occasional item shortages and busy holiday service, calling ahead helps the team prepare and confirm any special accommodations.

Busiest: weekend evenings, holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving), and brunch service, the wine-tasting bar and patio are often crowded. Quietest: weekday lunches and early weeknight dinners tend to be calmer. Guests recommend earlier seatings weekdays or arriving earlier on weekends if you prefer a less noisy experience.

Yes, families and children dine here regularly. The menu includes a Kids’ Menu (Junior Filet Medallions, Parmesan Chicken, burgers, etc.), and guests report family dinners, birthday celebrations and groups with teens. For younger children, an early seating or a booth may be more comfortable, call ahead if you need a specific table type.

Yes, it can. The restaurant recommends reservations because guests frequently report waits even with reservations during peak times. Guests describe waits of 20–60+ minutes on busy weekend nights and holidays; the wine tasting area can also be crowded. Book well in advance for popular dates and consider earlier seatings or weekdays to avoid waits.

For a balance of atmosphere and manageable noise, go midweek (Tuesday–Thursday) or for an early weekend brunch. Weeknights are generally less crowded and better for conversation; if you want the full tasting-room energy and brunch buzz, try weekend brunch but expect a livelier scene.

Yes, the Alpharetta location operates on major holidays (guests mention visiting on Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day and holiday brunches). Expect very busy service, limited menu availability on some holidays, and long waits; booking well in advance is recommended.

Yes, Cooper’s Hawk is a multi-location restaurant and winery brand. Guests reference experiences at other Cooper’s Hawk locations in different states and the owner description mentions a large wine-club and Napa-style tasting rooms, indicating a broader restaurant group. If you enjoy the Alpharetta location, the brand has other restaurants and tasting rooms to explore.

Yes, Cooper’s Hawk Alpharetta offers outdoor patio seating. Guests report enjoying the patio on pleasant days (though some note it sits near a busy road, so noise from traffic can be noticeable). If you prefer patio seating, request it when you reserve.

Yes, guests and menus reference private/event spaces. Many reviews mention private rooms or back rooms used for groups and events, and the catering and menu materials list event-style offerings. If you’re planning a private party, call the restaurant to confirm current options, capacity and any fees or minimums.

Yes, Cooper’s Hawk Alpharetta can make a lovely date night, but pick your time. Guests praise the polished, inviting atmosphere, thoughtful wine pairings and well-presented entrees (steak medallions, seafood, pretzel-crusted pork chop). That said, the room can get lively and loud on weekend evenings or holiday service, so an earlier weeknight or an early dinner reservation is best if you want a quieter, more intimate experience.

Cozy yet energetic, expect a polished, modern-casual vibe with a lively wine-room energy. Many guests love the inviting atmosphere, attractive décor and tasting-room feel, but several also say it can be loud and boisterous at peak times (weekends, holidays, wine tastings). Patio seating offers a pleasant outdoor option, though it faces a busy road.

The Alpharetta location has regular daily hours: Mon–Thu 11:00 am–9:00 pm; Fri 11:00 am–10:00 pm; Sat 10:00 am–10:00 pm; Sun 10:00 am–9:00 pm. Guests still recommend booking a reservation, especially for weekend evenings and holidays when it’s busiest.

For a quieter visit choose weekdays or an early dinner during the week or early weekend seatings. Guests report busiest times are weekend evenings, holidays (Valentine’s, Easter, Thanksgiving) and during brunch service. If you want the lively wine-tasting vibe, go on weekend evenings or for brunch; if you want conversation and a calmer meal, aim for weekday lunch or an early weekday dinner.

Portions are generally generous for many lunch and dinner entrées (guests mention large salads and hearty pastas), though some plated items, like filet medallions or certain medallion-style entrees, have been described as smaller than expected. Because guests report occasional inconsistencies, it’s wise to ask your server about typical portion size when ordering (especially for appetizers or shareable plates).

Yes, the restaurant welcomes families and offers seating types that suit groups: booths, bar seating, dining room tables and patio seating. The menu includes a kids’ menu and many guests describe family dinners and celebrations. If you need an accessible table or specific seating (booth, patio), call ahead when making reservations to confirm availability.
