We had such a beautiful experience at this restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was perfect and they made such a fuss of my mum for her birthday which was a lovely surprise. Lovely atmosphere, gorgeous setting, perfect - highly recommended!

I never actually got to eat here 🤬 booked a table for my 60 th birthday with a friend only too be told he wasn’t taking any tables . I explained we had a booking to be told and I have no staff so you can’t have a table . Whilst I totally understand his predicament a sorry would have been nice but that never came . Quite rude and not acceptable. Shame as ruined my birthday as we struggled to find somewhere in Marylebone at lunchtime on a nice day .

I used to work around the corner and have dined in this branch of Cote many times and always enjoyed. Being up in the area again we decided to go back “for old times sake”. Granted it was early evening in the middle of the week but what a disappointment. Surly, scruffy and disinterested staff. Filthy toilets. No atmosphere. With a nearly empty restaurant no one asked if our meal was good or if we wanted more drinks etc. The food itself was fine but we won’t be back.

Really non christmassey , token small tree , really bad service, never coming to clear table or refill water bottles. Food - omg - is that the best you can do? Side dishes served in what looked like ashtrays. General restaurant decor shabby and gray, toilets not clean A real Christmas grinch of a festive meal !

Service not great (not bad but not great), quite hard to get a drink. Restaurant decor was tired but it was the toilets that were pretty unpleasant.

FAQs

Yes, Côte Brasserie Marylebone can make a lovely casual French date night: guests frequently praise the food, wine and friendly service, and the bistro setting feels cosy and authentic. Do note the restaurant can be lively and sometimes noisy, and service quality has been variable in guests’ reports. For a quieter, more intimate experience consider an early seating, their outside tables on sunny days, or booking the private dining space if you want something more secluded.

Portion sizes are generally bistro-style, satisfying but not oversized. Several guests note the fixed-price/set menu portions felt small, so the set menu can feel less filling than à la carte choices. Starters, mains and classic dishes (steak frites, mussels, seafood linguine) follow typical Parisian bistro portions, good for sharing plates or adding sides if you want more.

Family-friendly: yes, guests frequently celebrate birthdays and bring families, and the venue handles group meals well. The restaurant also offers a private dining room for more intimate family occasions. Accessibility specifics (step‑free access, disabled facilities) are not stated in the available information, so call ahead if you need wheelchair access or other specific accommodations.

For a calmer meal, aim for early evenings on weekdays or a pre-theatre dinner, guests note good, prompt service at those times. Weekends and peak dinner hours can be lively and noisy, and some guests reported slower service or busy periods then. If you prefer a quieter visit, book an early table or a weekday lunch.

Côte Marylebone offers typical bistro seating plus outdoor tables and a private dining space. Guests have reported being able to reserve a more secluded area for special occasions, and the owner notes an inviting outside seating area for sunny days, good options for couples, small groups or private events.

The ambience is a lively, neighborhood French bistro, buzzy and convivial on busy nights. Many guests enjoy the comfortable, Parisian-style vibe and friendly staff, though some report noisy tables, tired decor and inconsistent cleanliness. If you want an energetic bistro atmosphere, this is a good pick; for quiet, consider quieter times or private dining.

The dress code is business casual. Guests typically dress smart‑casual for dinner here, think neat, relaxed attire suitable for a comfortable French bistro in Marylebone.

Yes, guests report the team being accommodating with dietary needs and celebratory arrangements, and the restaurant offers private dining for events. For special seating, dietary requirements or celebration extras, call ahead so the team can prepare and ensure the best experience.

Families do dine here, guests frequently celebrate birthdays and bring children or teens. The focus is on classic French bistro dishes rather than a children’s menu, so it suits older children or families happy to share standard dishes. For younger children consider an early seating or booking the private dining space and call ahead to discuss menu flexibility.

Weekdays, Monday to Thursday (especially early evenings) are often the best bet for a calmer experience and quicker service. If you want a livelier bistro vibe, Friday or Saturday evenings deliver the buzz, but expect more noise and busier service.

Yes, Côte Marylebone offers a private dining space for special occasions, meetings or group bookings. Guests have reported being accommodated with more secluded seating for celebrations; contact the restaurant to discuss capacity, menus and any extras you may need.

Yes, the restaurant advertises an inviting outside seating area, which guests can enjoy on sunny days. Outdoor seating is a good option for a relaxed lunch or a quieter table away from the main dining room; call ahead to request an outside table when booking.
