Darcy's Brasserie
Another lovely meal at Mosborough Hall, always lovely food and great service from the friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.
Eating out at the moment is a very different experience to normal. Social distancing is being performed well. The number of tables has been greatly reduced, though what was available was booked.
Considering the reduction in clientele I was surprised by how slow service was.
The food was on the whole good, though I’m still wondering if there was actually any crab in the crab fish cakes. The main courses were better than the starters and the puddings were the best of all three courses.
I do think that a drinks menu should be provided. It would have been nice to know how much the bottle of wine cost before we ordered. Equally I might have had a cocktail had I seen a list.
It was on the whole an ok night, however given the current situation I feel that hospitality places should be aiming higher than it was ok. It is a very difficult time and there is very little that can be done about atmosphere given the need for social distancing but something was lacking.
Not a big selection, however the food we did have was lovelly
Celebrating very relaxed birthday with friends and family. I would highly recommend cocktail evening to try one or two of the menu. Table. Service was well-timed and friendly,
Enjoyable meal. Just shame run out of the lamb only 4 in party and we all wanted it. Pleasant atmosphere
Fish cakes that should be called potato cakes
Bread for a side was x 3 slices of what looked like warmed supermarket
Lovely food here, been twice for "eat out to help out", and great food each time. You might have to wait, but worth it to get great food, and freshly cooked
What a complete waste of time!!! Arrived at 7 pm for our table booking and at 9 pm still no food. Shame on you and the so called Great Western but never mind we managed to get some chips from the local chip shop. If I could give less of a rating I would it wasn’t even busy!!!
Tasty anniversary meal in gorgeous surroundings and the waitress was very nice
Very disappointed overall with the food and service. Waited a long time for food to arrive and when it came it was over cooked, we have been here before on numerous occasions but this time very disappointed,
Very quiet, beef wasn't very good as it was fibrous and hard to cut with blunt knives. Received wrong desserts ordered Yorkshire parkin but received sticky toffee pudding. This was tasty though. Waitress tho very nice had been out fir a cigarette and brought the brought the smell back in with her. Not nice. Won't rush back.
Food was fine but presentation wasn't wonderful. we were expecting a more plush feel to the restaurant and as such it didn't feel special so will wait a while before returning.
As part of the hotel I would have expected the staff here to be more professional, however they were not and that spoilt the evening a little.
They brought up our starters and mine was soup, after 5 mins I had to get hold of the waitress to tell her that I needed a spoon to eat my soup, I know it was a while but I thought that they were going to bring me one.
Dinner was ok but the staff were not very attentive, we had to keep asking for things instead of them being pro active.
We ordered prawn and sweet chilli starter and the prawns were raw, completely grey inside, then I had Gammon steak and that was only half cooked we didn't bother with a desert as didn't want anymore disappointment.
Staff were lovely and I did get a free drink but not the point.
The food took nearly an hour to come and wasn't brilliant when it arrived.
Lovely food, nicely preaented. Good value. Excellent bread rolls bakes fresh.....still warm!
