Decant is a contemporary American restaurant in downtown Medford focused on seasonal ingredients, craft cocktails, and a relaxed but elevated dining experience. Our menu changes frequently and highlights the best ingredients from Southern Oregon and the West Coast.

Whether you're joining us for a full dinner, cocktails and small plates at the bar, or a midweek night out with friends, Decant is a place to slow down, enjoy great food and wine, and spend time together.

We offer an extensive wine list, creative cocktails, and a seasonal menu designed for sharing and exploring. Reservations are recommended for weekends, and walk-ins are always welcome, especially Tuesday through Thursday.

The kitchen is led by Chef Michael Bryant, whose menus focus on seasonal ingredients, thoughtful technique, and bold but balanced flavors, blending modern American cuisine with Tuscan and California influences.

    We ordered the mixed greens salad (one with beets) to start and their halibut for our entrée. Their salad came with both red and orange beets and a pomegranate dressing. The halibut was served with a miso topping/broth. I'd recommend both-they were AMAZING!!! The servings were really good as well. My husband and I shared both and we left feeling more than satisfied. Their service was AMAZING as well. Definitely going back soon! Thank you so much Decant!

    Everything was Outstanding!!! The service, the cocktails, the food, the wine and the dessert. One of the Best restaurants visited in South Oregon. Dreaming to come back!!!🙌🙌🙌

    We’ve traveled a lot, have been to Michlin, James beard, etc,. This is by far the best restaurant we have been to since moving up to northern ca / southern Or. Great wine list, even better menu, and the atmosphere and ambiance were perfect. (Not like others who charge 250$ per person for a pre fix menu of what amounts to be a buffet of amuse Bouche) we will absolutely be back. Frequently. Also worth noting the night we visited was Decant’s 5 year anniversary. We need to see about NYT doing a feature here!

    The special ribeye appetizer for the 5 year anniversary was amazing. There were 4 of us and we all thought the food was excellent. My Wagyu tritip wasn't as flavorful as I would have wanted, but I ate it all, so there's that. Service was a bit slow, but it was busier than I've seen it before. And of course, smiling Austin is always a pleasure.

    Honestly the best restaurant in the rogue valley hands down. We’ve eaten at basically every restaurant worth visiting in the valley and this tops every single one. This was the best dining experience we’ve had since we were at ascend in bellevue. The service was spectacular and the food is even better. Will absolutely be back.

    For a truly 5-star restaurant with a very high (for the Rogue Valley) price point, Decant is a little cramped and as I wear hearing aids, also quite noisy. Food and service are wonderful and the Italian-focused wine list is extraordinary.

    This elegant and beautiful restaurant was the setting for our anniversary celebration last evening. Our meals were marvelous, halibut for my husband and rack of lamb for me. We also shared a mushroom bisque that was just exquisite, so delicious with wonderful umami flavors! The wait staff was attentive and warmly inviting - highly recommend!
