Drinks took a long time to get served. Ribs good. The other food was very dry and had to ask for bbq sauce and butter. Should have been served with all that. Took a while to get those things too so hallway through our meal before served. Seated us in a dark hallway. Did not add to a positive experience. Waitress was not personable at all, felt like we were a burden to her night. So disappointed as this place came highly recommended!

Oyster Rockefeller is not made to order. $25 for 4 premade oysters is a bit much.

FAQs

Yes, Doc Crow’s can be a strong date-night choice if you pick the right spot. The restored 1870s space, exposed brick, and incredible bourbon walls create a warm, historic vibe perfect for cocktails and conversation. Many guests praise the extensive bourbon list and well-made Old Fashioneds. Be aware it can get loud on weekend evenings or during events; for a quieter feel, request a table in the Bourbon Room or an early/weekday reservation.

Portions are generally generous, guests repeatedly mention large, filling servings. Sandwiches, baked potatoes with brisket, and the smokehouse platters are noted as hearty and good value. A number of guests took leftovers home, and many recommend sharing appetizers and sides. If you prefer lighter plates, consider ordering an appetizer or sharing entrees.

Families do dine here and many guests bring teens or celebrate special occasions. Doc Crow’s offers a mix of seating, bar, Bourbon Room, main dining areas and quieter back rooms, so there are family-friendly spots. However, some guests were seated in narrow hallway-style tables or near high-traffic areas, so if accessibility or a calm table matters, call ahead and request a specific seating area.

For a quieter meal, weekdays and earlier evenings are best. Guests report that weekday lunches and early dinners are calmer. Busy times include weekend nights, concert/game evenings (it’s close to the KFC Yum! Center), and special events, expect louder rooms and possible waits then. If you want to sample bourbon with less noise, ask for the Bourbon Room or an early seating.

Warm, historic, and lively, the exposed-brick, restored-1870s interior and massive bourbon displays create a quintessential Whiskey Row vibe. Guests call the atmosphere fun and energetic, great for groups or a spirited night out. Expect noise on busy nights; some guests found seating near kitchen or hallways less romantic. Overall it’s casual, vibrant, and bourbon-forward.

Casual dress is appropriate, the restaurant describes itself as casual dining. Guests frequently come in game-day or downtown attire, and many mention comfortable, relaxed visits. If you have a private event or special occasion, you can dress up a bit, but most guests wear casual or smart-casual clothing.

Yes, the restaurant accepts reservations and guests regularly request seating preferences, birthday accommodations, and private-party details. Several reviews show staff accommodating changes and special requests, though a few guests experienced seating or menu miscommunications. For best results call ahead and confirm any seating, dietary, or celebration requests so the team can prepare.

Families do dine here and many guests bring children or celebrate birthdays. There isn’t a dedicated kids’ menu mentioned, but portions are generous and shareable options work well for families. If you’re bringing young children, consider an early seating or requesting a quieter table; several guests recommend calling ahead to discuss any menu flexibility for little ones.

Weekdays, especially Monday–Thursday, are generally the best bet for a quieter, more relaxed experience. If you want the full lively atmosphere, Friday or Saturday evenings are most energetic but also busiest. For breakfast/brunch, weekdays or early weekend mornings tend to be calmer and more reliable.

Yes, Doc Crow’s offers private-party options. The restaurant’s description notes they allow private parties, and guests report booking events, pairing nights, and group dinners. For group events or special setups, contact the restaurant directly to discuss room availability, menus, and capacity.
