Slow service, wait staff coughing and sneezing, undercooked (not al dente) pasta. Wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful finish outs. Cool bar.
Celebrated Friends from out of town.
Service, meal & atmosphere were
Beautiful place - amazing service - mediocre food. This was our 3rd trip to Dolce Riviera, a place I want to love. Very pretty, chic location in uptown. Great bar, beautiful patio. My wife, son, and I had dinner. Service was just incredible - best I've had at any restaurant, regardless of price, in years. Drinks were great. Food, well that's another matter. Octopus starter was tasty but a bit tough, but the best of the dishes. Entrees were simply overpowered by butter and cheese. My wife had a fettucine with mushrooms, but the pasta was undercooked (not al dente - less than that). My son's risotto seemed like it was half cheese - just overwhelming. My dish was the special - basically ravioli containing beef cheek with pine nuts. Pretty, imaginative. The ravioli and pine nuts went well together. The meat was very tasty. Again, however, too much butter and melted cheese - overwhelmed the dish. If they could tweak the menu and preparation, this place could really be spectacular, but it's not there yet.
Atmosphere was amazing.
Overly priced Italian food- very salty and not that good all. Bday dessert was awesome . Bruta app was delish . Overly priced wines too - not good either .
Everything is always amazing at Dolce! Service is top notch (Pepe is the best), food is mind blowing, and the ambience is both relaxing and beautiful! The pappardelle al cacao and gnocchi al tartufo are must haves. I was sad to see they don’t have the arancini on their menu anymore though.
Our NYE dinner was absolutely spectacular! Service and ambiance were top notch. Great Jazz band created a sophisticated vibe, very upscale dining feel. Food was nothing shy of a great Michelin starred restaurant. Desserts was not up to par with rest of the menu, but still creative and fairly tasty.
We had a wonderful dinner here on New Year’s Eve. The food was authentic and delicious, and this is the perfect spot for a special occasion.
We were terribly disappointed in our Christmas Eve dinner. We were told when we booked our reservation that there would be live music, which there wasn’t, the service was slow, my salmon had clearly been sitting out too long after being cooked, the wrong entree was served to another in our group, and generally the food was ok at best, and this all cost a fortune.
Service is thoughtful and well presented. The food is great - you can taste the house made difference in the pasta.
As always, everything was wonderful - the food, the service & the ambiance
Extensive wine list. Wonderful bottle complimented a fresh Sicilian salad and a bowl of pasta. I’d definitely return to this spot — looking forward to enjoying an Aperol spritz when the weather is better.
This was a fantastic first experience for dinner. The food was fantastic.
We arrived early and the restaurant was able to sit us with little wait. We started with CARPACCIO DI BRESAOLA CON TARTUFO. It was delicious! My wife and I both had ravioli. The pasta is home made and taste like it was flown in from Italy. The service was attentive to our needs. We did not feel rushed and we both talked about going back again.
I went to Dolce Riviera for a date night, and it was absolutely lovely. Great ambiance, excellent food, and outstanding service. Would be great for a romantic dinner or a cozy happy hour at their outdoor bar.
Special pasta with truffles was at a shocking price when the bill arrived. We should have asked. The truffles really did not add to the taste of the relatively bland pasta.
The appetizers were great though. The service was excellent!
Nice atmosphere, great service! I thought the food was overpriced for what was served. The Risotto was divine but for $38.00 (and that was all you got) was to expensive. Be prepared to spend $$.
I’m unsure if it was where we were seated, but our waiter wasn’t attentive, I had to ask for a drink and the check.
Excellent food and service. In order to get to a concert on time, we rushed our waiter. He didn't bat an eye and made sure our meal moved along at a quick pace. We can't wait to go back and enjoy a more leisurely meal! Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Dolce Riviera. Had our first meal there prior to Elton John concert. The cuisine was outstanding, beautifully presented, and delicious. There are only three Italian Restaurants that I’ve found in Dallas that provide food that is to my liking. Dolce Riviera is now one of them. The service was professional and attentive. I am returning later this week for a 2nd round, as there are so very many dishes on their menu which I want to taste.
Very disappointing compared to our experience about a year ago which was phenomenal...not sure but would seem to be a change in management. Could not believe what a ripoff the pasta special was...$60 for a small portion of pasta with butter sauce and a little bit of white truffle that came out cold upon arrival...compared to the wagyu beef carpaccio with white truffle at $30...the pasta was unbelievably overpriced!! Doubt we will be back.
Have been here several times but this occasion was not pleasant. Luckily had great company to not make wait time so bad. We ordered appetizer and meal after being seated for 30 minutes. Both plates arrived at same time one hour after ordered.
Terrible experiencia tengan cuidado.
Great experience, wonderful waiter, excellent food
One of the best brunch spots in Dallas. Went there for a birthday and it did not disappoint.
Terrible service from a restaurant that we used to love. After notifying the waiter of an allergy and asking for options from the chef he walked backed to the order station, checked in with another table then came back with two items on the menu that could be modified having never talked to the kitchen staff. We ordered one of the two options plus a side of pasta with oil, grated cheese and pepper. Our food was delivered to the wrong table, taken back to the kitchen and redelivered to ours a few minutes later - cold. The side of pasta was a no show. Asked the server to bring it, still no show. Flagged down the waiter and received pasta after the main was finished.
As always the food was fabulous but our service was horrible. We had to keep flagging down our waiter to
Place our order or to ask for things.
The service was subpar.
I really enjoy the good food you offer, especially the gnocchi. Been there several times. The music was a bit loud this time so our party was unable to hear each other but overall the food and service was top notch!
We had a wonderful time at Dulce celebrating our anniversary! The Truffle Gnocchi was the best gnocchi we have ever had. Perry our waiter was awesome. Ambience was spectacular. We will return!
The worst overpriced pasta I've had... It's hard to go wrong with pasta as it's such a simple dish, all that's needed are fresh ingredients and it becomes fabulous. The problem with my order was that they over cooked things. I had a Gnocchi that was close to mush.
The restaurant is beautiful but the music was too loud. The food was just OK and for $24 for a frittata I would have expected a whole lot more crab. The brunch is over priced. Service was spotty at best. I would not go back.
Surprisingly slow service and food was delivered half cold. Not impressed.
The food was the worst I have experienced in Dallas in YEARS. My wife and I ate here two years agi when they first opened - the food was fantastic. Fast forward two years later -- I bring a group of 8 people there on a Saturday night - I could have taken them to some Italian restaurant in a strip mall and had a better meal. Massively disappointing. Will never go back there.
The ambiance and food at Dolce is outstanding! We brought our family for a birthday dinner the day after Thanksgiving and they still can't stop talking about it!
Loved the place, our waitress though was a little pushy
Excellent customer service
Does not get any better for a great dining experience, food is uniquely prepared using fresh ingredients and the wine list is tops in the city of Dallas
see you again very soon
Incredible- take your time here. Enjoy each course and the atmosphere.
