Really disappointed as I've been many times before and really enjoyed it. Booked lunch for a Birthday Celebration at 1pm on 20/9 and from the moment we sat down it felt rushed. We were pressed to order and plates were banged down on the table every time. After our main course we had dessert menu thrust down straight away and said "not at the moment thank you" which hopefully allowed us a lull prior to having something else. However the waitress then came back almost immediately, tapped her watch several times and said they were closing in ten minutes! Had I known this at any point I'd have booked my table for an earlier time and to be honest I've never felt so rushed in my life!!! Utterly ridiculous.

Lovely place great value for money , me and my 15 year old son frequent the Dragon I when out shopping always have the pre-theatre menu .

Never been before so took pot luck. Pre-theatre menu was good value and excellent quality. Staff are first class.

Have been here many times before for a pre theatre meal before a show at the Theatre Royal. Food is always lovely but , on this occasion, the service was poor with quite a few people complaining as they were concerned they wouldn't get to the theatre on time. There seemed to be plenty of serving staff available but I don't think the kitchen could cope so perhaps they should not take so many bookings for the same time slots.
