What Insiders Are Saying
Duck Duck Goat is a high-end Chinese restaurants that's always fun with excellent and interesting food.
We waited at bar while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, the bartender was friendly and helpful. They had Oberon beer which is one of my favorite.
Our waiter was informative when we asked about lower sodium dishes, which items could be adjusted and which came as is. The beef wonton soup was delicious and there was enough for 2-3 people. The pot stickers also very tasty. I had the slap noodles which were good also. Our daughter like the glass noodles. Both entrees were large enough to share. The cold octopus salad was refreshing and the veggies in it were crisp. Absolutely loved the desert, spring cake on a coconut cloud with chopped tropical fruits. We were full and agreed to share the desert amongst the 3 of us and left us wanting more!
The service was great and the food was amazing! Get the short rib dumplings! Loved how they give you a delicious almond cookie for complimentary dessert.
We absolutely love this place! We’ve celebrated birthdays, food cravings, our engagement and wedding here. Don’t miss the shishito peppers or xiao long bao
The quality of food and service far surpasses the shockingly affordable price. Not what you'd expect to pay for a place of this caliber. 10/10 would visit again!
some dishes are really good. Like the Bao Bums. The shoulder goat noodles were below average
Great experience! Separate menu available for vegan/vegetarian dining-highly recommend!
The day was a bday / friends get together. There was a 2.50 charge for a small scoop of ice cream w sprinkles for a birthday celebration. we did not ask for this, and a charge was put on the bill, this should be brought to our attention.
I thought for a classy place this was tacky! Ms. Stephanie you might want to look into this? 🍦
Not sure if i’ll be returning?
The food was amazing as expected and we loved our server(s).
Love this place. Despite being one of the last tables to be seated we never felt rushed! Food is always great!
Duck Duck Goat is such a fun experience located in the booming Fulton Market area. A play on Chinese dim sum for the appetizers and great entrees. We were girl crushing on Stephanie Izardm hoping she would emerge from the kitchen. The decor is fun and the playlist adds to the atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
Great food and incredible staff! One of our favorite places!
Our server was fantastic and we put our mail in her hands and had her make all of our entrée selections it was a great move the food was fantastic the ambience is fine and the service was outstanding I would highly recommend this place
Delicious dumplings and beef noodles! Will definitely be back.
Just amazing. I will find any and every excuse to go here.
It had been more than a year since our last visit and we had forgotten just how outstanding a restaurant this is. Excellent, friendly service with good recommendations. Amazing flavors and creative takes on traditional dishes. It won’t be as long before our next visit.
Great food but too crowded. The service is outstanding.
The food is always amazing, the service is also always amazing and their hosts have always been exceptional. They are always so friendly on the phone and in person which is so appreciated. Make a reservation in advance. This restaurant is really amazing! I recommended it to everyone! We have taken people from out of town twice here and each time everyone was very satisfied!
This was a birthday dinner. The restaurant was loud... as to be expected. The food was elevated Asian food. Service was good. Overall 3.5/5 stars.
Great food...good service only comes if you are a hipster. If not, be ready to be forgotten a lot. Happened to us twice now.
Amazing food and service!
Excellent food! We opted for our waitress to select from the menu for us, and she did a great job! It was a fun way to step out of our food comfort zone and try some new things.
Took my fiancé out for a nice dinner. We both enjoyed our meals and drinks. Definitely coming back again.
My favorite spot for Chinese food in the city. If you are in the mood to experiment in the vegetarian world, the orange cauliflower is my favorite item on the menu, including the meat options!
Great! split multiple food options. All were great and easy to share
I am a vegetarian an despite the name, they do have a varied vegetarian menu. Yay! My only quibble is that while we know that the food comes out in unknown order, it would have been nice given that we weren't sharing (my husband is a meat eater) if he had gotten his main dish before my food was finished.
We sat outside and enjoyed one of the first nice days of summer ! For three people we split 5 dishes and it was perfect. Crowd favorite was the Goat Belly Lo Mein and the Pekan Chicken. Love Stephanie Izard and will be going back soon.
Great cocktails, but if I never eat goat again in my life that will be fine. There's a reason it is not served anywhere else but in her restaurants and third world countries.
Best food in quite a while--terrific flavors. Routine chinese food at a local place is going to seem pretty bland after you try items on this menu. The soup dumpling appetizer is not to be missed.
Everything we ordered was so good, would definitely go back
Awesome. Only issue was a bit of a wait with a reservation.
Food, service and ambiance are excellent. This is a must visit.
food was generally great, but rice dishes too mushy
Loved the food atmosphere! And our waitress was wonderful!
Stephanie Izard is a genius! Her unique flavor combinations and incredible creativity are the perfect combinations to make Duck Duck Goat a must visit restaurant.
My husband and I love this place. We always order delivery and it's always so much better to come into the restaurant. The server was a little grumpy, but our dinner was at the end of the night. We get it. I'm sure she was tired. Overall, the place/food is fantastic. We will come back.
The waiter was attentive to order right away. Thoroughly explain the menu. However the food was very very salty. For the price you can go to China Town and get more authentic food and bigger servings. I’ve tried some of the chefs other restaurants and they seem to love salt on all their food. Don’t think I’ll be going back to any of her restaurants anytime soon way way too salty. And not worth the price. I think most people get hung up on us see and be seen thing. Of course it’s in the restaurant Row and gets a lot of hype. My opinion, not worth it!
Duck Duck Goat did not disappoint. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was helpful with steering us in the right direction for our selections. Everything was delicious. Definitely going back.
Very cool place with authentic interior, rotating section in the middle of the table, encouraging everyone to share, perfect service and very tasty food. We've tried some dumplings, duck rice and beef noodles, and everything was great, but you should keep in mind that size of the dish is moderate (except the rice maybe, it's just fine). Overall, it was a great experience, and if you see a word "Goat" in the name of a place in Chicago, it's definitely worth visiting!
Out of the three Goat restaurants (this, Girl and the Goat, and Little Goat Diner), this was my favorite. The food is just incredible, the service incredibly attentive, and the restaurant itself it such a beautiful well-decorated fun space to be in. Truly the most amazing lo mein I've ever eaten - and the vanilla ice cream with soy sauce was stunning.
