About this restaurant

  • Good for groups
  • Neighborhood gem
  • Vegetarian-friendly
Dum Pukht is an Indian restaurant serving authentic cuisine from the region. The inside of the restaurant is elegantly decorated with plenty of golds and reds punctuating the tasteful decor. The dining area is extremely spacious, allowing guests to not feel crammed and enjoy their meal in comfort.

Dum Pukht has a lunch buffet option during the day that guests can take advantage of. For one set price, diners can sample most of the menu at their leisure, trying out all that Dum Pukht has to offer without committing to one single dish. The menu mostly consists of different curry specialties and tandoori, which is dishes cooked in a signature clay oven to maintain maximum moisture within the dish. The most popular item here, the chicken tandoori, is glazed in garlic, ginger and cilantro. Each meal comes with complimentary papadums and cilantro with a tangy sauce for dipping.

Went here with my wife for dinner recently. The ambience and vibe of the place were nice, but the lighting was extremely dim to the point where it was genuinely difficult to read the menu. We noticed multiple tables using their phone flashlights just to see what they were ordering. We ordered the creamy tomato soup, veg Manchurian, paneer tikka masala, butter naan, and a mango lassi. The creamy tomato soup tasted like it had been prepared much earlier and was served completely cold. The veg Manchurian looked great from the outside with a crispy coating, but the inside was soggy and felt undercooked. I had specifically requested the paneer gravy to be made spicy, and the waiter even confirmed it, but when it arrived it was creamy and sweet instead, which was disappointing. The butter naan was decent, and the mango lassi was actually pretty good. Service was also quite slow, likely due to the limited number of servers available. We had to wait quite a while for the dishes, and we could see a few other patrons getting visibly frustrated with the delays too. Overall, the place has potential because the ambience is good, but the food execution and service experience definitely need improvement.

Live everything about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal and so was the service. Unfortunately, it was a cold and windy evening, and we were seated close to the doors. Unfortunately, every time the automatic doors opened it was freezing.

The food tasted stale. We ordered dal makhni and rumali roti- it tasted like dal was not fresh and rotis were undercooked

We had a reservation but ended up waiting over 30 minutes with no one attending to us. The restaurant appeared to be overbooked yet continued accepting reservations. There was no manager available, and the customer service was very poor. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Food and Service are impeccable. Food is prepared fresh, so don't be in a rush. Ordered a bunch of things and they were all incredibly delicious. Staff was helpful in choosing.

The table we were seated at was right next to the door, which kept opening and made the area quite cold. The service staff seemed unfriendly and in a rush to have us leave. For example, while I was still drinking my water, someone cleared my glass without asking. The lamb chops were overly spiced and quite tough. Overall, I’ve had much better experiences elsewhere in terms of both service and food. I likely wouldn’t return or recommend this place unless significant improvements are made.

Great experience, wait staff were kind and effiicient, the food was on point. I don't give 5stars to anyone because i believe there is always room for improvement, somewhere. So don't look at my score as any kind of deterrent. The food was great the butter chicken masala with fresh naan was great.
