About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Innovative
  • Great for fine wines
Executive Chef Scott Anderson chose the name "elements" for the restaurant because he is passionate about sourcing fresh, local, organic ingredients and sustainably raised meats and seafood. He wants the very elements of your meal to play a major role in the taste of it. Then he and his team work to reveal the complementary flavor dimensions inherent in the elements by skillfully combining them—often in edgy new ways. Restaurant menus change constantly here, making this the dinner restaurant that is excitingly different every time you return.

If you're a foodie, you want to know where—and how--your food grew. It's fascinating, it's a good health practice and it provides extra pleasure from everyday experiences, like a meal with friends. elements is the American restaurant serving local steak and seafood, but with global influences in seasoning and cooking methods. A true culinary adventure!

An exquisite experience at Elements Princeton. Ordered the $165 tasting menu with a Wagyu substitution ($30). That and the Bluefin O-toro were definitely the sensual highlights. A cozy and pleasant atmosphere.

There was a distinct smell of sewage upon entering the restaurant. Food was beautifully presented, but not palatable. We booked the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing for my husband's birthday, and while there was enough food for us to be full, most of it was not done well. Additionally, the wines were not particularly good and small pours, not worthy of the price charged. The server was knowledgeable, but overall service was rushed. Overall, we wished we had not eaten here.

The 5-course menu was really good. The table for 2 was a little longer than we would have liked for a date night, so it was hard to have a conversation over the ambient noise. The food was quite good - we found it a little salty; the wagyu ($30 extra) was perfectly done, and so was the dessert.

Bravo! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. My husband and I tried the Chef’s tasting menu for our anniversary, and boy, did it deliver. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive about trying the snapping turtle, but it turned out to be one of the most delicious bites of the night. The menu is innovative and fun, and the wine pairings are spot on. The atmosphere manages to be sophisticated yet completely relaxed and friendly—not pretentious at all. The dress code is sophisticated casual, and a reservation is highly recommended. The adventurous menu alone will give you plenty to talk about! It's a must try.

Very creative tasting menu. Unlike other tasting menus, the amount of food is substantial by the end of the meal. Very thoughtful vegan menu as well. The service is very attentive and polite. Cocktails and wine list are top notch. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and are always highly satisfied.
