Epic Chophouse is a steakhouse that began this flagship location in Mooresville, NC in 2010. We recommend reservations but except walk ins especially in our cocktail bar area which is first come first serve with high top tables. If you do not see a reservation time you prefer, please call the restaurant. Parties sizes that exceed 6 people please call the restaurant. We do offer takeout and also provide catering services both in house and outside. Please see our website for more information. Our dress attire is business casual and only ask that men have shirts with sleeves. There is ample parking in the rear parking lot of the restaurant or on main street in front.

The menu at Epic Chophouse consists of dishes such as our famous cheese toast & lobster bisque for appetizers, epic wedge salad, steaks that are wet aged for 35 days or more that are broiled to perfection on an 1800 degree South end broiler to give a nice char on the outside and flavorful and juicy inside.

    We love Epic Chophouse. The owned Muckey and Mooch previously. A white table cloth experience. I was a little surprised there was no courtesy dessert for a special occasion.

    Salvatore was our waiter and he took good care of us. He didn’t rush us but was attentive. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable meal. The halibut with risotto is excellent. My husband had the filet which was equally tasty. The only downside was by the time we ordered dessert, the carrot cake (my husband’s favorite) was sold out.

    We had a wonderFul experience with our food and service. One situation was a low blow with one of the managers. We had received a gift certificate from one of our children back last June for our 50th wedding anniversary. My daughter had sent us an e-gift card via text back then. A couple of months ago, I deleted the text by mistake. I called Epic to explain and talked to a manager. I gave him the needed information of the purchase for him to look and try to find the purchase by date, amount and last numbers of my daughter’s credit card. He was so attentive and helpful. He came back to the phone to tell me he found the purchase and sent me the e gift certificate again to my phone. Time passed until yesterday and it was my 71st birthday. Well, I looked on my phone, and I am assuming I had deleted it again but was sure that the purchase could be found like before. When we arrived for our reservation, I told the hostess the situation and to contact the manager and we would explain about this incident. The manager came to our table. He didn’t seem very friendly to us first off. I told him the whole story of the deleted gift card. I gave him the needed information and he didn’t seem to happy to assist as if we were trying to scam Epic. I had given him the date of purchase of it as well. He came back and told us that that gift card had already been used. I said that is impossible. I texted my daughter from the restaurant and got the credit card ending numbers. The manager showed me an invoice for for a meal that was used with the last 4 numbers from a gift card. Problem…..the date on that meal was January 26, 2026. That was impossible because we didn’t even get it until June. He still was acting slightly rude about it all. The original manager that helped me was no longer employed there. The current manager made us feel as if we were lying. End of the story…we just paid the bill and chalked it up to an unpleasant experience. I have learned to always print out a card sooner

    Shrimp appetizer and cheese bread is great. Steaks are different than they used to be. Used to be the best around but the past fews times not as good.

    I have lived ten minutes from the restaurant for 24 years, certainly for all 16 years that they have been on Main St., and had never been there. I thought that it was about time, and it was a great first experience. The Ribeye with smoked salt and garlic butter was medium-rare and delicious, as was the baked potato. I ended the night with a great glass of Cabernet and their cheesecake, which should be in the dictionary next to "decadent". Jo is a terrific server and could not have been kinder. I look forward to returning.
