Estia Taverna – Radnor
The bartenders were very nice and attentive after we had an issue with the dark haired hostess with glasses.
we were suppose to sit outside and my husband asked for a larger table than a 2 top and she told us that if we didn't take the 2 top - we would have to go in line for next available. Of course, she sat 3 tables outside ahead of us..she needs some customer service training as she was not pleasant and it was slow for a saturday night.
We ended up eating at the bar... we didn't want to engage with her any more but would have preferred to eat outside if this hostess was better with paying clients.
Such a great experience! Gina and Paige went above and beyond to help us celebrate our special occasion.
A+ for service and hospitality!
The food is consistently high quality and delicious. The beverage selection is fantastic, too!
Hi great meal , great service
This was our 5th visit to Estia Radnor and it was a special occasion (Father's Day). We arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait 20 minutes. When seated the table rocked severely so a waiter fixed it. Another server literally threw bread on the table. The air conditioning was up too high and we kept our coats on the entire meal. We ordered the prix fixe menu and the first course was great. Entrees were VERY small - a piece of fish that was maybe 3 ounces and for the other entree-- one half of one small eggplant!! Then the desert (sorbet) was one very small child-sized mini scoop with no garnish. We are used to portions being smaller for a prix fixe menu, but this was was extremely skimpy. THEN the bill came with an upcharge for asparagus with my husband's entree after the waiter said "you can choose ANY SIDE" and never mentioned an upcharge. We left hungry.
The food as Estia is always fantastic. It's a little pricey, but that's why we've taken to saving it for special occasions.
They prepare fish just right. Never overcooked.
Disappointed in the service once again and noise level still an issue. Food is very good though!
Father’s Day and birthday
We had a lovely meal with friends. The service was great and our meals were delicious. Our friends were thrilled with the choice.
Dining at Estia Radner is a true food experience. We started with their delicious Greek salad. The freshest tomatoes ever, flown in from FL, in a simply wonderful vinaigrette dressing. The salad was served with complimentary bread and hummus. We ordered a bottle of excellent and reasonably priced malbec from Washington State. Entrees were the grilled lamb chops - best I ever tasted, and the lobster linguini which was also excellent. Our waiter, Ellis, was helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes we ordered. We will ask for him in the future. All in all a first rate experience.
Our server had three tables. All with 8 or more people and he just couldn’t do it. Too many drinks and food orders. Our food was rushed and the flavor bland. Usually a great place and the Estia Chips still reign supreme, but that was it in this night.
I love the food at Estia! Freshest fish around.
Can get a bit noisy, but it is extremely popular so it is always crowded.
One of my favorites!
This felt like an expense account restaurant. The food was fine, but nothing to justify the $300 total for appetizers, 2 drinks, meal, and no dessert. It was hard to know what you were spending because the fish was priced per pound and you had no way of knowing what the "serving" would be. The service was fine, but not up to par for the cost of the restaurant. Our waiter would forget to bring us water and our table was wobbly. For the cost we could have had a much better meal somewhere else.
Great food and atmosphere!!!
Crab cake n soup
Service was excellent, however, food was not good. Estia chips greasy, seafood not fresh. Very disappointed because we always have a good meal there. For a Sunday night the chef must of changed.
Hi LynAnn, We take these matters very seriously and would like to investigate this further, please email us at info@estiarestaurant or call the location with further details so we can pinpoint where you sat. It's not typical of us to serve seafood that is not fresh since our product frequently sells out. Looking forward to your email. Kind Regards, Gus Pashalis
This was my first visit, definitely not my last. Service and food Devine and great deals, plenty of food and well prepared. Can't wait to go back.
Early Fathers Day
This was the second time we had this particular server and he was as bas this time as the last
He has no personality and acted like he was doing us a favor by waiting in us
Food and service was wonderful although the dining area was a bit loud. Food was incredible!
Restaurant is very noisy. My dinner was just okay.
always very consistent. Seafood is terrific. Great bar. the prefix menu did not deliver value, Better off with ala carte
The sound level is unbearable. The food is good, not the quality of Milos from New York, though its prices can be comparable.
We frequent your restaurant on Locust St. and in Radnor. We think it is the best consistant meal in Phila. And suburbs, and have since you opened.
Our meal was outstanding. The fish was sooo fresh. The salad is always on point.
Our server (Andres) was exceptional. what a difference it makes to have someone aware of what it takes to make a meal More Enjoyable. Glad he joked about not singing Happy Birthday. HaHa.
Having recently been to Greece we were looking forward to rekindling our memories. Our meal couldn't have pleased us more. The opportunity to share and the helpfulness of our server were fabulous.
VERY pricey for what you get, and the food this time was good at best.
The fixed price lunch menu is a great value. The wine selection is very good.
we enjoy local dining. its dress casual,so its nice to even pop in for a drink and an appetizer. im not much for vegetables but love the estia chips. a staple i must get everytime we go.
Great food!! Really enjoyed!!
Second weekend in a row that we have visited Estia Taverna. We wanted to introduce friends to this wonderful restaurant. Of course they did not disappoint! Great food, great flavors and great Service! We will be back again, maybe next weekend😊
food never disappoints. always good. love the octopus!
Great meal, great service!
Food was amazing as always and service was impeccable! Always a great evening at estia!
Aside from the fact that there other tables available, my companion and I were shown to a squeezed in table along a bankette. When I asked for another table, the hostess said there were no others available. I responded by saying we would eat elsewhere and walked out. Noticing that there was outdoor seating on the front terrace. I asked if any seating was available outside. When she responded affirmatively, my friend immediately accepted the offer. The hostess then walked us around to the side of the building where no one else was seated. At this point my friend agreed, but I was truly disappointed. While I am not a “regular”, I do eat there numerous times a year.
Maybe I should have asked for a larger more open table when I booked.
A favorite Greek Taverna. A little pricey for what is offered, but the food is delicious. Nice assortment of Greek white and red wines on the wine list, but again a little high in terms of Mark -up.
Our waitress made our evening. She was outstanding . The food was amazing, just a bit over priced for the ambiance of the evening.
Estia is one of our favorite restaurants. We go as often as possible. We prefer sitting away from the bar for noise level and privacy. We had a great round table which is perfect for our party of six. We had birthday recognized even thought the wait staff were not informed formally.
Simply amazing! The flavors were awesome, the service was great. I highly recommend!
