Fabbrica Pasta Shop is a vibrant restaurant and retail space in Sydney's CBD, serving seasonal snacks and house-made pasta, alongside minimal-intervention Italian wine. The first of the Fabbricas, it was in 2020 that the CBD swung open its doors. The pasta extruder became the heart of the concept, producing traditional Italian shapes, with a selection of innovative sauces, snacks, produce and wine, ready to take home or polish off on the spot.

Today, Fabbrica CBD is a vibrant restaurant and while you dine, you can still find a selection of our favourite products on shelf, too.

On the menu, there will always be the Fabbrica classics like zucchini flowers filled with ricotta and drizzled with hot honey, cacio e pepe and tiramisu, as well as a few dishes exclusive to our CBD venue.

    Fabbrica Pasta Shop is wonderful for handmade pasta. We received the kindest and most attentive service from Gabriel. Our main difficulty was that the seating is supremely uncomfortable — tall, metal, backless chairs and tiny tables. That part was a special kind of torture after a long day of sight-seeing. Thank Goodness the weather was good!

    Cute little spot for some nice Italian food. Food was tasty but came out lukewarm (at best) which was a shame and the ragu didn't have much meat. Took a while to receive one limoncello spritz and then we were never asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert.

    The ragu pasta wasn’t as salty as I expected, and I really enjoyed it! The mafaldine was a bit too salty and rich for my taste. If you’re Korean and not a big fan of rich, creamy flavors, I’d definitely recommend the ragu! The staff were all super friendly, and especially the fun, fabulous guy who served us — he was the best! 🫶

    We had a pre-theatre dinner here and we really enjoyed the whole experience. The pre-theatre set menu was delicious - two starters (olasagasti anchovy sourdough with olive butter and mozzarella, ricotta and chilli honey zucchini flowers) and a pasta main (we all chose the mafaldine, prawns and kombu butter). The serving size was perfect for a pre-theatre meal and a couple of glasses of the chilled red went down a treat for me. Loved being in the buzz of the city and not far from the State Theatre. Our waitress was lovely and friendly and we were done with time to wander down to the theatre and have a pre-show tipple. Will go here again - maybe try lunch next time :)
