All they had was buffet style breakfast and was not listed on the website. During this time with COVID, should not just have buffet style Only. Only found out after ordering coffee. When we decided not to eat there with Buffet style, was charged $20 for two cups of coffee.
This restaurant is such a special place for my family and I. It sets the bar for great farm to table food and great customer service!
Fantastic food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend.
My waiter was super friendly. He had great suggestions for drinks.
Best crab dip I’ve ever had! The food was so good and so fresh.
The fish tacos were a huge disappointment, small piece of fish drowned in sauces and other fillers.
The atmosphere/location/weather was perfect food however was just okay!
waited for long time even make a reservation. they are understaff. getting food in brunch time in and out through the door while holding a lot of plates are such a struggle.
Four or five stars ?
Four on an absolute scale, five in Covid times.
Food options are a far cry from what we remember from BC (Before COVID). Nevertheless, service is good and friendly and it remains a very good choice in NW DC.
There’s one complaint, though ... the Plaza fountain (we sat outdoors) is unnecessarily noisy. Hopefully that can be fixed for a great outdoors experience.
Guess we’ll be back before long.
I came here on a wet Friday afternoon with my wife. We made reservation previously and the wait was reasonable. After reviewing the menu we decided immediately what to eat. For a starter I had the White Wine and Garlic mussles, it came with a fresh loaf of bread and for lunch Fish, Chips and Beer which comes with a large pimento cheddar biscuit.
Beside we wanted to try the corn casserole but it was not available at that restaurant only the fresh pretzel (4 large pieces) and we were warned by the waitress that the mussles pot and the fish and chips comes with bread and we agreed to have it because we wanted to try. Yes, there was a lot of bread, which was delicious regardless and I took it back home for breakfast the next day.
Everything was delicious the two pieces of cod fish were slightly breaded, just the way I like it and fresh, it comes with a side cole slaw, the big pimento cheese biscuit (taste 1000 better than the other restaurant (RL), and a side of tartar sauce and ketchup. Oh let me not forget that the fish and chips also comes with a small glass of wheat beer.
Cesar and his trainer Andrew were lovely! Food was phenomenal, and atmosphere was on point. Highly recommend this location for happy hour during the week.
Very good customer service. We had a little mishap & manager Kendra did everything she could to make it right and waitress Michelle provided great service. Loved the NY strip with enchiladas and sweet corn cake salad. Would definitely recommend.
Very disappointed in my experience. Sat us 65 minutes late from a reservation had for weeks, and only after checking in four times. Even then, service was terribly slow, and food and drink not up to par for the price.
food was good, outside setup could you some rework and make more inviting.
Thank you, Xyzz for your feedback and I am so sorry the outside area was lacking in ambience. :( We feel badly this lead to a disappointing outcome to your visit, and I would love the chance to follow up & make this right! Good servers and outdoor seating as requested by the water it was a beautiful day.
We had the best time and our server was Ah-MAZING! 🎉💫
Sat outside by the fountain. Beautiful view. Very attentive server. Food was fresh and seasoned well. Enjoyed it very much! Had the guacamole and chips- 5 star and the her grilled chicken and green beans. - 5 star
The food and drinks were fabulous! The shrimp scampi, mussels and crab dip were awesome. I highly recommend Farmers Fishers Bakers.
We thought this restaurant was overrated. We arrived for a breakfast reservation. One young, under-enthusiastic man showed us to a table. He appeared to be the only person around - both seating and serving. I figured out why when I went to the ladies room. It appeared that a staff meeting was occurring where several people were in attendance. The restaurant had 15-20 customers at tables outside near the fountain, and this young man was the only person attending to them all. We were served our breakfast in a timely manner, and it was good, but it took quite some time for our drinks, and we never got our requested extra syrup. Poor management decision to leave all service to this one person. Unfortunately, this poor service choice outweighed the good food.
Great meal. Great Drinks
Out food was great cocktails good
But i felt like our server wasn’t swamped and might have been giving us forgetful service because of a “different reason” if yu can read between the lines. We enjoyed our food , i got sushi and shrimp pasta in addition to calamari. Yum !
This has become a must visit restaurant for my fiancé and I when we're in DC. Unfortunately, this time may have become our last. Most of our food was absolutely delicious, but our service was absolutely terrible.
We dined outside, which was nice, but we we didn't have a very nice view - we were placed just outside the tent overlooking other diners within the tent. We felt ignored by our waitress. Because of where we were sitting, we could see her return to other tables far more often than she visited us. We finished our appetizer before she even came back to take our entrée order. I was halfway done with my entrée before she realized it was missing a part and she needed to go get it. It was just not the service we've become accustomed to at this restaurant. Their iced tea and sodas are delicious, and the lobster/spinach dip was amazing! If you can overlook the people bringing you the food, you'll enjoy yourself.
Went for my boyfriends birthday to enjoy the weather and eat outside. Overall, the food/ambience was good. We both ordered chicken and it was on the dry side but did not detract from our overall experience. Staff was attentive and welcoming. The outdoor dining area was perfect, we were able to enjoy the views but not feel as if we were on a busy sidewalk
We had a great family dinner for Easter. The service was top notch and everyone enjoyed our menu selections!
We decided to go out for Easter brunch and the food was delicious. The service is excellent and the location is perfect. I am definitely going back.
Hooray!! Thanks for sharing this with us! :) -Amy
We went for Easter brunch. The food was great, but it was a buffet which wasn’t clear from the website or when I made the reservation.
We went on Easter Sunday for their brunch buffet and sat outside on the covered patio. The service was not what we received when dining here in the past, silverware wasn't at our table for almost 10 mins after we got a our food at the buffet, water and drinks came half way through our meal. The food it self was bland compared to past buffets and the buffet wait line was over 30 mins long. The overall experience was not enjoyable and I won't be returning any time soon.
Recommended Solutions for the restaurant:
- More wait staff and/or small sections.
- A drink station on the patio with, silverware, napkins, straws, water and condiments to make it easier for the wait staff and better service for your customers
- At least 5 people serving at the buffet station
-Add a second Buffet line - 30 mins in line to get food is unacceptable and means you can't turn tables as fast.
-Add salt and pepper to food, just a little.
Oh no! I am so sorry your recent experience was met with multiple disappointments and left you not interested in returning. :( I would love the chance to connect about your review and turn this around! Please email me a copy of your feedback, date dined and location. Thank you and I look forward to continuing this conversation. -Amy
Great selection of food, just wish our server would have explained the details better of how the brunch worked and how some things you ordered with her, while others were on buffet, it was confusing. And just Bacon was not good, extremely fatty and think.
Always a great time here but we did the Sunday brunch for Easter. It was fantastic! Definitely brunching here again!
The food was excellent. Our server was great. The annoying part was that the buffet was not even close to being set up when we arrived, which was when the restaurant opened. Then there was only one person behind the buffet assisting people. So, the line moved very slow. Thankfully our waitress offered to go back and get us whatever else we wanted so that we did not have to wait in line. We will for sure go back when we have more time to enjoy the brunch as both breakfast and lunch.
Service was excellent
Food was great
Overall excellent dinner for family of 5
Well, we were seated and that was all for about 7 minutes. We flagged someone down and asked for water and menus. He explained the code for electronic menus - we did know about these, thank you for explaining such. Our water arrived 4 minutes later. We ordered appetizers and I asked the waitress specific question’s about the wines. Her response was, “oh they are really good”. She was unfamiliar with the menu when we asked questions, we encouraged her to get answers and she did. It was loud inside, uncomfortable loud. The booth seating reverberates sound / conversations from those sitting across from you. Food was alright.
I am so sorry for the slow service, the uninformed responses to your questions and the overly boisterous environment. I would be more than happy to connect with you about your review and turn around the disappointments from this experience.
