Figs by Todd English - Beacon Hill
Figs Pizza is most likely like no other pizza you’ve ever had. Don’t be surprised by the large freeform shape—its specifically part of what will go into your overall experience in enjoying this unique meal.
The crust will be so crisp and thin it will be close to brittle. That finely crisped quality is achieved by the special technique used in making the dough and a short cooking time at a very high temperature. The toppings are the finest freshest available and are, as often as possible local produce and other ingredients.
A distinctive quality of a Figs Pizza is that it will cool down quickly. If you take a pizza with you please follow the directions provided by the restaurant when heating it again at home.
Figs is a great spot in Beacon Hill for pizza. Crispy eggplant is great! The tables are close together, and the restaurant is loud. Is tough getting up and down from your table without interring with others.
We had a fig and prosciutto pizza, and it was very bad. Who would think of putting a super sweet fig preserve on a pizza?!!! The fig preserve belongs in desert and with cheese. At least there should be an honest name to this pizza: Fig jelly and prosciutto.
The place is really tight, too many tables stuffed in a small space, so not really comfortable.
Service was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the fig & prosciutto pizza
Everything was really very disappointing. Pizza had a tiny dollop of ricotta per slice, and the sausage topping and no flavor. The calamari was mostly breading.
This is just the best pizza i have ever had. Outstanding. Its not traditional. Rather it is free form but man is it tasty!
Fantastic experience. Service was perfect—attentive and friendly but not overbearing. I love the Beacon Hill location—cozy on a chilly late autumn night. We split a bottle of wine and ordered a pizza. You’re able to do half and half, so we ordered the fig and prosciutto for one half and portobello mushroom for the other. Highly recommended!
Good food for a reasonable price in one of the most charming nieghborhoods of Boston.
Great food and surprisingly good sized portions! The calamari appetizer was larger than I was expecting, and the pizzas are not personal sized but about a whole sheet pan instead. It's definitely a small space and a very popular option, so make sure you make a reservation or you'll be in for a long wait.
Pizzas are delicious. Get one for table and a pasta dish to share. Very crowded and loud but food and service offset cramped quarters.
We loved our salad, which was the evening salad special, combined with our Fig and prosciutto pizza. Service in this small neighborhood establishment was friendly and timely.
Food was great as usual, service was not fantastic this time around.
Nice food but the portion sizes are huge! A starter would be the same size as a main in the UK. Typically Italian with lots of chatter so if you want somewhere quiet this probably isn’t for you. We really enjoyed it though so would recommend.
Cozy place. Great pizza.
Lived in Boston many years ago, now back here on visit.
We used to go to Figs all the time..the quality, service, and food is still excellent!!
Always a GREAT choice. Never disappoints and well worth the wait at this tiny gem. Beautiful tasty pizzas with creative toppings and fantastic pastas. Love love love!
Tiny, cozy spot for some tasty pizza, beer and wine. Good kids menu, nice size portions, friendly staff.
Very small! Good food/pizza! Also, had to wait a while even though I made a reservation.
Great service on a busy Halloween night! Food is delicious especially the bread - oh my!
Tight quarters, but same super delicious pizza as always. Great and cozy atmosphere. Love it.
A bustling and lively place, Figs was great for an evening meal after a day sightseeing in Boston with my mama. The slightly disorganised mania is part of the restaurant’s charm. The pizzas, although pricey, are great value for money. We shared one between us and even had a slice leftover to take home - we couldn’t choose one topping, but conveniently Figs offer a half and half option which was a great touch. Would happily return.
Food was outstanding. I had the Bolognese pasta and it was top shelf.
Delicious food, great ambience and wonderful service!
Great pizza, atmosphere and service - will return soon.
The food was amazing!!! The hole in the wall feel made for a quiet lunch date. However, the service was a little slow.
Delicious pizza. We miss their Chesnut Hill location. Glad to see our favorite pizza's are still on the menu.
Too cramped, poor hospitality, not comfortable. Congested reception area, tables too close togther, staff not welcoming.
Its noisy, crowded, cramped, etc. but the food (pizza specifically) is awesome, as is the pancetta and spinach salad. The service is adequate to great depending on who you have and the time of night. One of our favorite places, the atmosphere is charming, the food is wonderful, and its a great cozy spot that won't break the bank.
Cozy and lively spot for casual dinner. Pizza was just average The crust was not crispy and toppings nothing special. Ordered half crispy eggplant and half Bianca. No seasoning and thought the portion of eggplant slices was a bit stingy. Husband had the salmon special which was nicely cooked and generous portion. He did not care for the green pea purée that was served with it as it had little flavor. Attentive and friendly service.
Our server was wonderful . Pizza was delicious. We had a great time !
Probably one of the best pizzas I have had in quite some time and I spend a lot of time in NYC (which has excellent pizza)!!!! Salad was fresh too!! I would highly recommend for lunch or a casual evening out! Delicious!
We had a reservation and arrived early, the host was able to seat us right away - which was a plus as the line waiting was quite long. The service was very good - with several Check-ins as there was a bit of a wait. Overall- good place, have a reservation though, otherwise you’ll wait or eat at the bar
Food - 5+ stars. Waiting time - 2 stars.
I love the foods in Figs but the waiting time is just crazy. Made the reservation via Opentable couple times, but still needed to wait for at least 30 mins to get my table every single visit.
Definitely a great restaurant if you're into their awesome pizza. However, if you have a party (let's say, over 2 people) or you hate to wait, go to another place.
Really good food and quite reasonable! Will go back
Favorite pizza place in Boston. A small place, make reservations for sure ! Good date place.
Wonderful food in a really cool neighborhood. Service was great. Highly recommend.
Tried this place as a popular eatery in Charles Street. Tables really crammed in, service abrupt and no soft drinks available. Pizza was good but not earth shattering.
Loved Figs so much we ate here twice within just a few days while visiting Boston. Everything we tried on the menu was amazing. Can’t wait to come back!
The calamari pizza was the best pizza I hate in my life Delicious!!!!. We sat just in front the Pizza man it was at the same time a show
Amazing food, but very cramped seating. Not great for large groups. The Red Sox pizza is amazing.
They make a square pizza which is to die for! Love the portable one - it melts in your mouth. Thin tasty crust and plenty of ingredients. And enough to take home for later!!!!
