This location seems cursed somehow. None of the places that have opened after the demise of Brasserie Max and Julie have survived. So I was hoping that Fiori would be good. It was BAD. The tomato basil soup was the consistency of ketchup. The cannoli had a horrible filling that tasted like grainy ricotta with no sweetening. My entree was good, as was my dining companion’s. But the service was terrible and the overall experience was poor. Will not go back.
Good overall experience. Did BYOB. The live music was not great and a little loud.
As you will see from rating very disappointing ..
I booked via open table for 7.15 on Saturday night (after storm) when we arrived this place was shut!!!
Surely they should have advised open table about their decision to close as had other restaurants who chose to!!!
Not surprising this place had poor service rating !
No problems, but I feel like the food wasn't where it should be for the price. In presentation and taste, I think there's some room for improvement. My steak came out warm and bland, and my girlfriend's lasagna was good, but it was also warm and looked like it was tossed onto the plate. Otherwise, the place was gorgeous and the energy was great. On an unrelated note, it was February 13th and the couple at the table next to us brought their chairs together and were two steps away from having sex on the table.
We loved our dining experience at Fiori. All the dish, from appetizer to main to dessert were delicious, ambiance was great, and the service was great as well. Some of the dishes were served differently than we thought (based on the pictures we saw on google or yelp) but they were delicious nonetheless. Love that they have a flower shop downstairs. When the weather is warmer, we would love to try dining on the upstairs patio.
It was the worst food and experience. Went home hungry,
Fabulous fabulous fabulous restaurant. I absolutely love the atmosphere, food, decor, music, flowers and all the little touches that create a cosy atmosphere. Was able to meet the owner who is very charming and welcoming as was her son who waited on us. Will definitely be going back again and again.
Had a great time getting drinks and a cheese and meat board. Unfortunately my bike was ripped off of the back of my car in the parking lot, so it ruined the evening for me.
Consistency is the key. And Fiori delivers. Consistently. A welcome quiet place to dine eating wonderfully prepared food without a whole “scene.”
Great patio!
The lamb was cooked very well, however I would have liked some more seasoning on the meat, the meat was very flavorful however once fried it caused the flavor to be masked by the breading, would highly recommend garlic powder, onion powder, and salt mix sprinkle on the top right after it’s removed from the oil. That will bring the flavor to the expected level.
We did not enjoy our experience at all. The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. We enjoy Italian food, and I typically order eggplant Parmesan. Paying $22 for a couple pieces of braised eggplant covered in cheese was insane. Also, I asked to have it with light cheese and was told it was pre-made and couldn’t be customized. My husband also felt his gnocchi wasn’t worth the price at all. We have no issue paying for quality and service, but Fiori completely missed the mark. We will not be back.
Amazing! Perfect date night spot. Highly recommend!
Lovely space, nice ambiance and excellent food! Highly recommend
Few alternatives and many ingredients not available. Pasta and scallops no cooked properly. Carbonara didn’t taste good at all. My husband is Italian it was our second time and the experience was really bad. We also ordered Spritz a Venetian cocktail and they didn’t know how to prepare it . We had ordered it the first time we went and it was good. Very bad experience.
Great ambiance. Food and wine were great. Service was fair.
Food is always excellent. Service was a bit off with fairly long wait times and a misstep on one of our orders which they fixed quickly. Challenging times for restaurants right now. For some reason this winter they are keeping the restaurant uncomfortably cold.
We read some good reviews for fiori and thought we’d give it a try. To me, it was just okay. First, the absence of side dishes. Everything is served with a mix of greens, so if you want a side of something else, forget it. The lamb chops were deep-fried - not my thing.
It was a good try but doubt this place will last long.
We expected a sophisticated Italian restaurant but it didn’t come close.
The service was not as good as it should have been. We had waiter envy, and tried to steal a waiter away from a nearby table.
We complained to management and they were receptive.
We had an excellent experience. The staff were very attentive and the food was superb. The risotto with saffron was truly the most creamiest and most flavorful I've ever had, and the veal Milanese was impeccable. Both the owner (Italian from Milan) and the chef introduced themselves and described how the concept for the restaurant was based on the preparation of basic Italian dishes made of simple and fresh ingredients, all delivered in an unhurried and relaxing environment. Definitely my new favorite place for Italian meals! Highly recommended.
Great food, drinks and atmosphere.
I had a wonderful experience at Fiori. I went with small group of friends to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday afternoon. We had the entire patio to ourselves which was perfect for us! We enjoyed everything we ordered from the pastry board to the cocktails to the risotto. The chef was very generous and sent a few appetizers and dessert to try "on the house" for the table. I highly recommend this establishment. Thank you for the great day!
Great attentive staff! Took great care of us! Even down to taking pictures! Will come back in the future.
I absolutely enjoyed my experience at Fiori! The food was excellent, the presentation was beautiful and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back!
I wish I could like this restaurant more and support its business, but the horrible service the last two times will not let me do so. In fact I cancelled an upcoming reservation this week. For the most part the food was good. However inconsistency abounds, and the saltimboca alla romana was a perfect example: half of the veal pieces were cooked perfectly, while the others were tough due to overcooking. Our server almost left the table without taking the orders of two guests in our party. The only saving grace was the perfectly made Cynar negroni, which arrived after I sent back the first "classic" negroni (one of the wrong orders entered by the waiter, this even after I spelled out Cynar, sensing his understandable unfamiliarity with the liquor). We were so disgusted with the service-- and the overall experience-- that we skipped dessert and left very disappointed. I wish they will revamp service (perhaps consider hiring more experienced servers from restaurants that sadly closed recently) so when I muster enough courage to visit again I may begin to genuinely like this place as it has the potential to be neighborhood gem.
First time and would be the last time! Food tasted horrible!
Restaurant does not appear to have quality control in the kitchen. Food served was not fresh. Servers need training. High turnover of staff is evident. It’s a nice concept. I hope they can turn things around.
Delicious Italian food and such a pleasant ambiance. Felt like I was in Europe.
What a hidden gem! Cannot wait to go back.
We requested an outdoor table, and we were confirmed for an outdoor table, but were given an indoor table when we arrived. The hostess was not very friendly. We were the only indoor table, but service was slow. Not sure how busy they were, but we came at regular dinner time and they told us 2 out of the 2 fish on the menu were unavailable. They ended up finding enough Branzino, but not enough Snapper. I was excited to try this new restaurant, but with the slow service, unfriendly hostess, and a quiet atmosphere, we were hoping the food would make up for the rest, unfortunately, it did not. Maybe with the cute floral arrangements and the nice vibe, it may be a better brunch/lunch spot.
Wonderful place with great food. Very easy to get to. Sat outside and had an amazing meal. Highly recommend it!
Good food and lovely ambience.
But service leaves lot to be desired .
The owner chef kept coming up to check the patio but none made any pleasantries or asked if anything was needed or how things were going .
Waited like 30 mins for a wine , no one asked if more wine was needed and then even after flagging our waiter down he took another order 10-15 mins to come back and ask again what wine I needed .
The place is absolutely beautiful .
But for the price and the cost service leaves a lot to be desired and seriously during these times the booze is where they have highest markups.
But this place needs some orientation around service .
The food was delicious! The ambiance was very homey and we loved all of the plants. Service was magnificent as well. We will be back!
Very good place!! Love the flowers!!
Horrendously terrible service.
Food and drinks were great and a beautiful space, but the service was completely unacceptable.
A+ service, food, experience, etc. Looking forward to our next meal here!
Entrees were not hot when served. Brunch menu was limited and quality just "meh". Nothing remarkable, sadly.
Food and service were very good but limited selection available off the menu . Considering it was short menu to begin with half the items were not available.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE at this restaurant! The service was absolutely AWFUL from the beginning to the end. They’ve got many unexpended waiters, who don’t know what they are doing. Imagine walking into a restaurant that just opened yesterday. It was just like that. The waiters didn’t know anything and things were so disorganized. The kitchen and waiters must have no communication so the waiters have to keep going back to the kitchen to ask questions. This restaurant isn’t going to be around much longer as we Houstonians have so many better options.
I really wanted to like this place. It looked cute and I love the flower shop concept inside. But ultimately I was let down. My friend and I showed up and our other friend was waiting for us at the table already. We sat down and about 5 mins later our server came and the first thing he said was “do you know what you want yet” Not a very good introduction! I’m in the service industry so I try to be understanding but I would never greet my guests that way. I asked for a margarita, but was told by the bartender (?) that they don’t have tequila yet bc they just got their TABC license. Ok, fair enough but tequila is a stable in any bar. I opted for another drink at the bartenders suggestion and it was good. I feel myself rambling here, but I’ll say this: the service was not very good especially for what we paid. The food was good, but our server was very judgey about us getting veal! I said “which do you prefer” he said “um I don’t know I don’t eat that” and made a face. This place could be great if they train their servers better about table side manner bc that can make all the difference.
