Gulf shrimp, tangy slaw, cilantro crme, cilantro rice, black beans
Mac & Cheese
The service was slow but it was busy. Not a place for a business meeting. It’s real laid back.
Food was good. I ordered the onion rings which would have been better if crispier. The batter kind of fell off of them.
The staff was very friendly. The food was outstanding. We’ll be back for sure.
First time. Nice relaxing place with good food.
Our table ended up next to large birthday party, very loud, so they moved us no hassle.
We will be going back.
Very concerned about sanity issues
Great fun evening night out.
Great little spot. The kids loved the grassy patio area with the corn hole game. Great live music
Has such great potential to be a backyard Texas joint. The problem is the food:
- soggy onion ring batter
- over cooked burger patties
- dry snapper
If they could get 8 dishes on the menu that were good to great, this place would soar.
During the pandemic, dine-in capacity was capped at 50%. My only complaint was that We sat next to the patio door and the blast of warm humid air and the noise of the constant in/out was mildly annoying. The queso was the bomb, omg so delicious. Love the beer flights. The snapper was amazing as well.
Food was outstanding, service was absolutely horrible. Waitress was rude on several occasions and eventually stopped coming by our table to wait on us. I would return, but with caution on who is the server.
It took us 10 minutes to get a table with reservations Due to not finding menus. Then another 15 minutes to order because they had to print out menus, and we were headed to a graduation so we looked up menu online and let them know we were ready to order. After the menu confusion, we let our waiter know we were pressed for time due to attending a graduation, and he made sure we had our food quickly so we wouldn’t be late. The new norm takes patience, but we all compromised with new techniques and all went well.
Service is always super slow. But I think they overload the wait staff. I saw our waiter coming back from the barn, which is the bar located in the back of the property. I had to go to bar for drinks and we asked for mayo and mustard and never got it. Also, never had our empty water glasses filled. Food is good but kinda overpriced.
Great brunch for Mother’s Day. Will be back!! Thanks
We arrived at 10 am for our reservation. we were promptly seated and received the waiter's full attention. he was prompt with refills and answered to any question that we had. The entire experience was hands down one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in the Houston area. The food is unique and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant, and double recommend the chicken fried steak....... Best I have ever had!
Awesome evening. Great food and pleasant wait staff.
Great service, great food & drinks! I recommend it!
We had an excellent meal and excellent service. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere and comfortable surroundings.
We love it there. Everything. We go regularly even though it is a long drive from central Houston.
Interesting menu with different spins on traditional comfort food favorites. Southern meets Texas Southwestern (hatch chiles are used in several dishes). Family friendly atmosphere. Bar has extensive whiskey selection, but wine list could offer more options.
Fun, cozy casual venue. Excellent service. Great menu. Value-filled happy hour. We will definitely use this place again as our go-to mid-way venue for traveling from Katy, to dine with our Woodlands friends!
Restaurant was understaffed which was probably not anyone’s fault.
Food, hostess and wait staff were very good. Manager (or owner) that was onsite was rude to kids and families playing with football/soccer balls outside. If you want to keep customers, work on your communication skills. You can get your message across without bullying both your customers and your wait staff. I saw other comments online about manager so this seems to be his MO. Will not recommend restaurant to others based solely on manager's behavior.
Great Hill Country themed menu. Enjoy stopping in here when we are nearby.
Casual, family and fun.
This restaurant was recommended to me by open table and I made a reservation through them for Valentines Day. My fiancé and I didn’t want anything super extravagant in ambiance or price and this restaurant stated that it was $30 and under so we were looking forward to something new and the pictures looked great. The place itself was very cute they have a nice patio, it’s a very warm rustic ambiance. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable the menu was amazing everything read delicious. We ordered the brisket enchiladas and the fish tacos with rice black beans and grits for our sides. Everything was absolutely delicious. We left with an $80 bill but had 4 cocktails so I thought it was money and time well spent. We were too full for dessert but We will definitely be back to have some bread pudding on the patio next time.
Followed up twice to reserve their wine room and was told they would hold this room for us. Arrived and room was already taken, so had to wait an hour at a regular table. Thankfully the manager comped our drinks and appetizers. The waitress (Hope) was awesome though and really made the night for us go well overall.
Reservation was for a standard table but was greeted promptly and taken to a high top table. Service was great as all questions regarding the menu were answered. Was disappointed that everyone at the table had to order the special or none at all. You only had a choice between 2 entrees so we picked one of each. Food came out late and overcooked. Replacement was a little closer to “as ordered” but for $40 each was expecting better. Management realized falling short and took care of us. Drinks, other than a hot beer initially served, appetizers, and dessert were all very good.
Servers couldn’t decide who would take care of our table. Once they figured it out all was good.
Great Sunday brunch with family. Nice area for kids to play with outdoor seating for ease in keeping an eye on them. Excellent service.
Amazing food and incredible service! Love this place and will keep coming back for all occasions.
The food was great and our waitress, Jennifer, made it super-fun. She was terrific. We'll definitely be back.
Kids loved it! Food was great. Service was great. Environment casual but comfortable. A gem
I will be returning. We loved our waiter Kyle. He was very attentive, friendly and a good listener! Food was varied and very tasty.
Had a couple of coworkers meet me at Frios for a sit down dinner meeting. Our waiter was attentive and took great care of us. Food was amazing.
Could not get the steak right but feel it was the meat itself not the chef or restaurant. Everything else great.
Really enjoy eating here with wife. Always have great service and good food! Nice wine selections help to make a great place for date night!
We had a birthday gathering and requested a table in view of the Astros game. The staff was extremely accommodating--everything was ready when we got there. The service was stellar--we were helped quickly, never lacked for a water refill, food came quickly and correctly. We stayed for over two hours, but they never seemed impatient with us. It was a fantastic evening!
Very good food and service!
Had our own room and was great!
The food was great and so was the service! This was our second visit and will definitely not be our last!
Have always loved this restaurant... took out of town guest for Sunday brunch. Very disappointed in the food. Our waiter Patrick was fantastic. The fruit sorbet and fruit was a disappointment... one raspberry on top😫
Gravy was not up to par and biscuits were cold. Have you change Cook’s. Hope this was just a off day.
