Wonderful service, Carl, and very food. My friends had the calamari/shrimp appetizer and sushi. I had the wok rice dish which was delicious and the miso soup. Very relaxing and enjoyable dinner.

My wife and I had an outstanding dining experience at GOMA in Cleveland. We chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening. Watching the chef/owner prepare our sushi right in front of us added a personal touch and made the experience even more memorable. The sushi was absolutely exceptional—without question some of the best I’ve ever had. Every piece was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The ambience was elegant yet comfortable, making it the perfect setting for a special night out. The only thing I’d mention is that GOMA is a true high-end dining experience, so be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars for a meal. That said, the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience made it well worth the cost. If you’re looking for some of the best sushi in Cleveland, GOMA should be at the top of your list.

Server was very good. Food was fair. Too much sauce, mayonnaise and or salt on most dishes. Sauces and and mayo should complement not dominate the taste of a dish. Lobster roll has barely any lobster in it. Best taste was the nigiri hamachi. That was very good. Was very turned off by a tip option for the chef. I have dined in sushi restaurants all over the US, Peru and Japan and have never seen a tip line for the chef. Is this a Dante thing? I asked other patrons of the restaurant if they had seen this in other Ohio restaurants and the answer was no. Not recommending this restaurant.

Food was decent but it took an hour to get it and everything came out at different times. The drinks we ordered took even longer. We watched people that came in after us get orders long before us. The restaurant was busy but nothing crazy and no one was waiting for a table. It should not have taken as long as it did to get our orders - they were mostly raw food. The hot dishes were cool by the time the rest of the dishes came. Of course paying the bill was done quickly for us. We had an event to get to and there was no consideration for that, even though our reservation time gave us over 2 hours. We politely asked to speak to a manager at the end of the meal, not to complain about our waiter, just to give feedback. We didn’t get to talk to anyone but they did end up comping our drinks. Overall a disappointing experience.

Our server Marcus was the highlight- very personable, but sushi rolls were meh. One specialty roll was not fresh and we sent it back. Expecting more.

GOMA in Cleveland is an absolute standout for sushi. The quality of the fish is exceptional - fresh, clean, and clearly handled with care. What really sets it apart is the simplicity in preparation. There’s no overcomplication - just a focus on letting great ingredients shine - yet every dish arrives with an elegant, almost artful presentation. The cocktail program is equally impressive, with thoughtfully crafted drinks that complement the food perfectly without overpowering it. The entire experience feels elevated but still approachable. A real highlight was the opportunity to spend some time talking with Dante Boccuzzi. His depth of experience and perspective come through immediately - there’s a sense of intention behind everything at GOMA, and it reflects his vision and expertise. Overall, GOMA delivers a refined, high-quality dining experience that balances simplicity, craftsmanship, and sophistication exceptionally well.

The sushi was all right but nothing special. The table was small and open to the street that was very loud.

Worse sushi experience in Cleveland. Rolls were not fresh, rice was hard… place was empty on a Friday night. However service was good and attentive. But sadly if the food is bad I can’t go back
