GROW is an upscale cafe and bistro in downtown Saugatuck serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located across from the waterfront Coughlin Park, enjoy our sleek but cozy dining room or our ‘dogs encouraged’ sidewalk patio. From April through December, we proudly flaunt scratch, healthful and contemporary American fare alongside local beers and ciders, Loire Valley wines and Chef’s choice cocktails. Reservations are accepted for dinner only.

Incredible dining experience! Everything we tried was perfection. Autumn nachos, bahn meatballs..and the mushroom polenta!! There were 2 parties of 12 there in addition to our party of 6 and the service was seamless. Lindsay and Alec are killing it on Culver St.

Home of the $14 highball. There were some good menu items and some duds. Overall, the menu will interest some and disappoint others, but I think it is fair to say that this is not a place that has something for everyone.

We were on time with our reservation. We arrived ahead of another couple and were first in line, yet they left us to our own to sit down and the couple behind us, knocked us over to get to the table. Once we sat down, no one welcomed us and instead started asking us what our drink order was going to be. As I was paying for our dinner, I asked the waiter about a dish I saw another patron get. As it turned out, they didn’t offer the vegan menu. I have other places to spend my money; I will think twice about spending it there. Seems like they were disorganized.

Great find in Saugatuck- Alec, the owner, was super hands on and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Kids enjoyed themselves as well and loved the sorbet! Will return!

We were a party of six and out of those present, three liked, (didn't LOVE) their dinners, two were unimpressed and said it was so-so and one raved about his dinner. The waitstaff couldn't have been kinder, despite a glitch with their printer and it was nice that we could make a reservation.

They have a limited menu and limited wine list. We tried their bread service, which comes with very tasty curry/coconut hummus and cous cous. We also had main course of Eggplant Parmegiano, which was nothing like the traditional Italian version. It had sausages, goat cheese and the Parmesan cheese was only in the breading. No mozzarella at all. Nevertheless, it was delicious. Given the excellent quality of the food we can only wish they had a more extensive menu to chose from - if that happens and quality as consistent then this place is a 5 star.
