Had a Friday evening meal here for two adults and two kids. Amazing find, very authentic Japanese drinks and food. Reasonably priced and great value. The lighting was a bit bright for an evening restaurant and the Chardonnay was warm, but other than that the service was great and very friendly. The chicken and meat dishes were great, quite small but enough when adding miso and rice, and our matcha ice cream present was a lovely touch. Recommend highly.

Our experience at this restaurant was fantastic. Although the menu is small, all the dishes were high-quality and seemed carefully crafted. I particularly enjoyed the amakaze latte and the sashimi platter. I will absolutely visit this place again as it's really great to have good Japanese food near me.

Minced meat cutlet (menchi katsu) was superb! My daughter (12 years old) liked it very much.

HAKU is one of the best hidden gems for Japanese food in London, especially if you’re looking for an authentic izakaya-style dinner. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a cozy, casual spot where you can enjoy a wide variety of plates, from crispy chicken and grilled rice-ball to rich miso-glazed aubergine and other comforting Japanese classics. The food is consistently delicious and surprisingly affordable for central London. Every dish is full of flavor, and it’s perfect for sharing with friends over drinks. They also have a good selection of Japanese sake and beer to complete the experience. What makes HAKU even more special is the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. They’re welcoming, friendly, and always make you feel at home. It’s clear they care about both the food and the people they serve. For great food, warm service, and unbeatable value, HAKU is a top choice for anyone craving a true Japanese izakaya experience in London.

Very authentic Japanese cuisine - Ebi Fry, Aubergine and grilled rice balls were particularly good. Very small restaurant so booking a table would be a good idea. Friendly service.
