Ham Yard Bar and Restaurant
Fabulous as ever - one of my absolute favourites 😊
Hands down my favourite spot. Staff and wonderful. Food (pre theatre menu) was spot on and big enough. Loved it.
It was not my first time at the Ham Yard and it won't be my last...everything was lovely as usual
Great Bar and Restaurant. Loved every minute of our visit for a Birthday Treat.
The staff where amazing from the moment we stepped in the door they could not make us feel more welcome.
The food was very good we had the set menu which was great value.
Our waiter was so charming and so attentive and very knowledgeable.
Would definitely return
Great food, set menu good value, really friendly staff. Not been here for a few months and had forgot how much I like it.
We be a regular again.
We had a pre-dinner drink in the bar, loud and busy but enjoyable, we then ate in restaurant. We had the 2 course set menu with glass of fizz. Good price but slightly let down by the quality of the food. Starters very small, warm but dry and as hard as rock, pork and beans ok but bit boring and salmon on spinach, once again boring. One dessert was excellent but the chocolate banana filo was like eating pure chocolate spread, too sweet and too one dimensional. Shame. Having said all that, we had a lovely evening and would return but eat off of the full menu.
We chose the set lunch menu, which was good value as it included a glass of prosecco. Two main courses were only tepid. And the cheese, while not attracting a supplement, was mean. Just two small squares of admittedly delicious cheese. The waiter overheard us mention it was a birthday lunch and off his own bat brought a birthday cake.
Our third visit to The Ham Yard in six months. The service really is outstanding. Very attentive, without being over the top. Every member of staff we came into contact with was excellent.
The menus change regularly. Ambience is great and keeps a cosy feel and all in central London. Gem of a find.
Fabulous setting and absolutely tip top service. Great for a funky night out!
This was our first visit to Ham Yard. The booking was at 9 30 on a wet and cold Friday evening, as we had a prior event, but at this time the restaurant was still extremely busy. We were surprised at the size of the restaurant, as it was far larger than we expected , however the service was fine considering how many people were eating at once. If you are looking for a lively eating experience in a stylish environment then this will suit you well.
We were seated in a quieter corner of the restaurant, away from the noisy bar area, and the service was friendly and efficient. Vegetarian choices were limited but the food was very tasty. The wine list was interesting and reasonably priced for central London.
The decor and ambiance is wonderfully eclectic and energizing; makes you feel part of the liveliest society in town. Service was friendly and fast; the waiter was very helpful in choosing wine, even allowing my guest to taste first before committing to a bottle. The starters were flavorful but the coq au vin was a little bland and dry. However, all was redeemed by the exceptional chocolate dessert! I strongly recommend the venue for the experience, and make sure you visit the bathroom after the meal to wash your hands and moisturise with the best smelling hand soap and lotion in London.
Second visit in two weeks. Absolutely wonderful service and ambience. Loved it. Great food too and incredible value.
Great place to dine, food was exceptional.
Unfortunately there was work going on in the kitchen the day we dined (for lunch), however, this was explained to us on our arrival and with only minimal noise it did not intrude for very long. The staff were excellent and this added to the enjoyable experience of Ham Yard Bar and Restaurant.
Food was very good indeed especially for the set menu. Would highly recommend.
Great location too.
An absolutely fantastic 50th birthday party. The incredible and huge chocolate ganache cake served all our needs (gluten free and vegan!), and even brought a tear to the birthday girl's eye!! Can't wait to be back at the buzzing Ham Yard Restaurant another time soon.
Great set menu and a reasonable price! With a lovely conservatory that you could have a lovely after dinner.
I love dining here in this comfortable, beautifully designed space. My only complaint is that I was served a drink with a plastic drinking straw. Please change to paper and help get plastics out of the environment.
Fantastic service from the time we arrived. We were greeted with a smile, our coats taken to the cloakroom and seated at our table promptly. All the staff were fantastic ! Our waiter was so attentive and not too pushy or disruptive. Food was amazing, lovely presented, great value and very delicious! Decor is beautiful and is set in delightful surroundings. The staff are outstanding! Definitely would recommend!
Fantastic service - staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Lovely place, great staff. Had pre-theatre meal which was very reasonably priced. However selection of food was not exciting, and the Soup of the day & pork main meal lacked much flavour, but both were incredibly salty! My partner had the salmon mains which, whilst pleasant, lacked flavour. I personally would go somewhere else next time based on this experience.
The Spanish waiter was lovely. The only bad thing is that starters were too small but overall was a lovely night.
The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly. We had the set menu, which was good value. Drinks were pricey.
Great location and easy to go to Theatre after our meal busy but really enjoyed it
Good quality food. We had a set menu and all of the dishes were tasty. Excellent service and bustling atmosphere.
After a slow start of being attended to (taking a drinks order & initial greeting by a waiter) things moved along smoothly.
An apology by way of a complimentary glass of sparkling wine was generously offered. Our Romanian waiter was very attentive- he overheard us saying it was the birthday of one of our party and brought out a little surprise cake with a candle and decorated plate! How lovely! Food was very tasty and beautifully presented.
Hotel interior is unusual with lots of quirky pieces & toilets are clean & smart.
We had the set menu, which had some delicious meals on it, but when we asked to see the a la carte, the waiter found it difficult to comprehend. There was no Vegan option on the set menu - or on the desserts menu. The surroundings were comfortable, although the chairs were rather low for the height of the table and we had to ask for a cushion. We did not realise we had to pay for water until it was listed on the bill. We had to wait for an anxious length of time for our coats to be found at the end. We were not hurried through our meal and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere throughout.
Every thing was yummy and great but I got stomach pains an hour after the dinner.
Lovely experience meeting with friends! Great atmosphere on a Friday night. Starter portion on the set menu was really small though -2 mouthfuls and gone. Could improve on that. Otherwise very tasty food and staff were brilliant and very accommodating. Would definitely come again!
Great dinner at Ham Yard - food lovely, service exceptional, atmosphere buzzy. Definitely worth another few visits!
Excellent, friendly service provided in a nice setting close to Piccadilly. Food quality is reasonable for the price charged.
We had a very enjoyable evening here. Food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. Good value.
The only problem was that the bar is so very popular that there is nowhere to sit and it's a bit noisy.
Excellent set meal with sparkly wine special. Good place to meet up after work or pre-theatre.
Areas by bar can be dark and noisy but table in main area was very good as was food and service
Good and service were great but overly priced tea.
This was a perfect venue for a quiet birthday lunch. The staff were very attentive and the ambience and decor were good.
Service was appalling. Had to ask for menus and then wine menu. Sides didn't come out at same time as mains so main plates taken away. Salmon was cold.
Desert plates not cleared away after tea was delivered to table.
Marked as a BIRTHDAY meal but not recognised by the restaurant.
Went for a casual business lunch. Food was good. Service was excellent; very friendly and unpushy. Airy restaurant with decent space between tables. Would recommend.
Lovely food, helpful start, excellent value, took an age to flag someone to get the bill.
