HAVEN Riverfront Restaurant and Bar
The restaurant was beautiful with a good view of the city and ambiance of the restaurant was good as well. Waiter of our table tended to us well. The food was good but few hours after eating I did get sick from the food. That was the only downfall of our experience at this restaurant
Came for my girlfriend's birthday and requested a seat with a view. They accommodated us wonderfully and the food was delicious. Though noise level does go up with a more full dining room, however this is easy to overlook due to everything else.
I celebrated my birthday and it was one of the best! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the food was top-notch! Of course the view is amazing. Overall I absolutely loved Haven and will never hesitate to go back. It's my second visit. The other was in Summer. Thank you for a wonderful night!!!
Food and view were great. Service could've been better.
Food was amazing for the price! The ambience and the view was incredible. Our waitress was super nice and freindly and took care of us, made sure we had eveything. Will defiantly go again!!!
This place is very gorgeous, view and rest amazing.
Food super delicious. Great service
Overall great experience , definitely would come back.
Music is a little loud and there isn't a lot of solo tables (a lot of half booth half chair) but food and environment was amazing and the view is outstanding. Had the lamb which was delicious, although I have had better risotto. S/o had delicious steak. Brownie for dessert, brownie wasn't the best ever but gelato was delicious. Will definitely return.
Great place. Nice views. Food was EXCELLENT and service was just great. THANKS
Swordfish slightly undercooked for my liking. Chicken over cooked and dry. Kids meals$22. I get it know. They don’t want children there. Why do all the pretty restaurants with nice water views have mediocre food? Because they can!!! We
My friends and I met here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was full and busy, but the service was awesome and our food and drinks came out quickly. Everything we ate was delicious and the mimosas were perfect. We will definitely be back!
The stars I did give were for ambiance and location/view ONLY. The hostess wished me happy birthday after I gave my name for the reservation. After that I wanted to check the rest of the staff for a pulse. The restaurant has a great ambiance, especially at night, and the location/view is fab! But the waitstaff were like robots. No smile, no "hello" ---no greeting upon approaching the table at all for the first time. The lobster Mac n' Cheese did not have even a speck of lobster in it, nor even a hint of lobster flavor. This is no exaggeration. It was clearly PLAIN Mac n' cheese. And I realize this is a "side" but I have never been served a side of Mac n' cheese this tiny in my life, and we eat out a lot. With the complete lack of lobster and misrepresentation on the menu, in hind sight, we should have sent it back and asked to have it taken off the bill. My husband's steak was ALL fat and inedible. First time I ever saw him leave half a steak on his plate. The dessert, while yummy, was also very TINY for the price, with no acknowledgement of my birthday at all---maybe a little writing on the plate with chocolate...something? The waiter never came and asked if we wanted more coffee, and after finishing the meal finally had to flag down a server to bring the bill. It was placed down on the table without looking at us---without so much as a "thank you" or "have a good night" We will go elsewhere for a nice meal and a view. Not returning.
I hadn't been in some time because I wasn't happy with the gluten free options but it's totally changed in that aspect . Everything was delicious including the cocktails. The bar server was especially nice . All that's missing in a cool music vibe like a hunt and fish or STK mix.
nothing special about this place for a few more dollars I ll recommend chart house.
Excellent Restaurant with extraordinary NYC Skyline views.
Very good food, especially because of its spectacular view of New York City. Service was good also.
From the moment me and my wife walk in we noticed we went to the right restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We was greet with a Happy Anniversary phrase from the girls at the front desk. The service, the food, the attention from all the employees was amazing. The experience was amazing. Would definitely go again and highly recommend it. Thanks for making my anniversary night a great one.
Very good food. Warm, personable service (a little slow here and there). Pay for valet was a downer & wine by glass a tad bit $ high.
Brunch and birthday
Haven exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
We were looking for the best restaurant with a nice view of the NY skyline and romantic ambience to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The place, location, food and service were excellent. It surely made our anniversary very memorable. We will surely return to this restaurant and recommend it to our friends and families.
Arrived at 20:30,was rushed to order as the kitchen stopped taking orders at 21hr.
My partner order the oysters and the Chilean sea bass which she loved.i choose the tempura bites and the short rib,my food on the other hand wasn't good, the tempura bites lacked in any flavour apart from the oil they fried them in.
The short rib was perfectly cooked, shame the sauce it was smothered in was very sickly(to the point I I couldn't eat it) the mashed potato was dry and seemed old.
The table we were allocated was perfect with an amazing views across the Hudson.
The whole dining experience took maybe from being seated to waiting outside for our car at a push an 1hr 15.
This was to be a very special evening for us,it wasn't.
Would we go again,definitely not.
The restaurant was beautiful and the views amazing. I had grilled octopus and truffle mac & cheese which was excellent. My only complaint was the service was a little slow and it was very noisy.
Everything was great. The only think I did not like as to the proximity of the other tables The other parties conversations was loud and distracting. To be on a date it was not pleasant.
Overall everything else was great.
Appetizers were amazing. I ordered the duck as my entree the skin was soft and soggy , I guess I am use to the french way of cooking duck nice and crispy. My Fiance ordered the steak he said it was good, but it had to much fat on it. The cocktails was the best park of the experience.
Valentine's dinner with family
The restaurant was really nice with a great view. Food and drinks were decent nothing spectacular. Probably wouldn’t go back but if you’re in the area it’s a nice place to go.
Lovely late lunch at Haven. Grilled shrimp salad was delicious... .cobbler with gelato the perfect dessert. Good service...one of our favorite dining places...gorgeous view of NYC.
Another great night and another great meal at Haven. We love it here. My wife and I had our first date here 4 years ago, got engaged here 2 years ago and have been coming here every Valentines Day! The staff was nothing short of amazing. The food was great. Thank you again for a great night!
Great spot for a special occasion!
Great place to have a formal type of date. The view is great and the food is too.
Every night is date night at Haven. Whether with friends or that special someone, each person is treated like royalty, with food that is out of this world spectacular. Service and staff are well trained and it shows. Highly recommended.
All three of us ate the duck and I plan to come back soon to eat in again. Yummy!
Excellent food and excellent environment will definitely be back
Everything was great and they were very accommodating.
Had a party for 6. The service was fantastic! Food was just the best. Thanks!!
Salmon was under cooked and took much to long for a new piece to come out. Steaks were incredible salty. Waiter and manager were very nice and accommodating though.
EXCELLENT. Haven doesn’t disappoint
I have been coming here since it opened. The chef Ibrahim
Is creative but stays within the American tastebud. I feel so lucky to live so close. My partner commented that there is food to take home, but never dessert. Leave room for dessert
We had warm chocolate brownie with chocolate nibs and vanilla gelato. We also had bread pudding with bourbon. Worth the calories
The high noise level was from a private party in the dining room. It also created a steady stream of high-schoolers parading to and from the bathroom. Otherwise, the night was lovely.
We love Haven! It's one of our go-to date spots. Last night was especially wonderful. Everyone we encountered, from the valet to the hostess, waitress, & servers/busboys was genuinely welcoming and friendly. They make you feel like you're their #1 priority, which can be so rare in a busy, popular restaurant! The food is exceptional. We shared the pretzel-crusted calamari, had swordfish and sea bass for our entrees, and then shared the dessert for 2 - all perfectly prepared and delicious. And the view last night - WOW! Spectacular!
We had glasses of la Crema Pinot noir, lobster risotto balls, bursts and heirloom tomato salad. All as excellent as the amazing view of the Hudson and west side of Manhattan from the GWB to the 30’s.
Street parking is limited but there is a free garage 2 minutes walk.
There is no view from the bar but virtually all tables have a spectacular view. Since that’s part of what your paying for, book a table!
The kitchen closes at 9pm during the week. A shame as restaurant was pretty full and I would have ordered an entree if not dessert.
I heard the food used to be so so. Apparently it’s upgraded! Will be back to try a full meal.
