I'm all about combining different cultures and passions, so I got super excited when I was asked to perform "The Girl From Ipanema" with the Glen Sorgatz Ensemble at one of my favorite German restaurants in Chicago - @himmels_chicago As a German (born and raised there) who moved to Chicago a couple of years ago, finding authentic spots with REAL German foods and flavors, that remind me of home, has been a challenge. But at Himmel's, you don't just get to indulge into German classics like red cabbage, Schnitzel variations and even Streusselkuchen - you can also chat in German with some of the staff. After singing, I got to enjoy their delicious buffet. If you're a beer fan, you can find many imports at the restaurant! Located in the heart of Lincoln Square’s German neighborhood, Himmel's is a must-visit. Check out their Instagram or website for special events like this one. 📍 2251 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60625 #germaninchicago #germaninamerica #chicagofoods #chicagoculture #chicagoevents #chicagorestaurants #chicagomusic #chicagoconcerts #chicagofoodie #chicagoblogger #lincolnsqaure #germanintheus #exaptlife #chicagomusician
