Marley W. is a fantastic waitress and knew her menu extremely well. Her expertise with the restaurant's food made it quite enjoyable.
Everything was great except they had non German cover band playing. We like the American pop music that was playing, but were expecting German music in a German beer hall.
Staff was overwhelmed due to shortages, but did a great job. Food was ok. Kraut was inedible consistency and flavorless. Rest was good
The experience was mostly as expected. Was a little disappointed in the limited menu. How do you not have sauerbraten on a German menu? Otherwise a very pleasant experience.
We went to Hofbräuhaus for a birthday dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was fun, polite and helpful. It was a little loud in there but it was fun. We will definitely be returning
Great food, beer, wonderful service what else is needed?
Only German thing about the food are the names. Food is bland and service was slow. Huge waste of money.
2nd time here. They have enough space and a huge room so it is probably equivalent to dining outdoors. We felt safe and the service was good. The current menu is a bit reduced in scope - but food selections were good, food was fine and portions substantial. No complaints about the bier! The gin and tonic was a bit weak- so best plan is to stick to the brews.
Poor service and poor food selection! Not even sauerkraut was offered!!! I have been to Munich and I'm not sure what I was expecting ... but, that wasn't it!!
We enjoyed the beer and meals. Before we return, however, we would like to see the original variety of entrees restored.
Server was friendly and helpful. Made great recommendations. Check on us frequently.
SO glad they’re still open. This is a terrific asset to the community and I wish them all the luck going forward. I will be coming back with the whole family. I can’t wait until they have live music again! Keeping the “canned” music going on interim would help to keep the mood festive. Maybe the staff could get the customers going a little with the “Ein, zwei, drei g’suffa”!
The place was empty when we got there. Our servers were not all that attentiv, even though we were essentially the only people there. The beer was good. But no red cabbage.
As usual, the service was exceptional, and served in a timely fashion. This trip, the jeagerschnitzel was a little tough. We have had it before and it is usually very tender and juicy, this time, not so much.
We missed the music, but understand with the current pandemic. I have eaten at the home store, in Munich many times, and the music is a must. I will be glad when it returns.
The food was good, expensive though. The atmosphere was loud. Our waitress was great!
Grest Sunday brunch. Great food, grest time. Would definitely recommend it.
Went for lunch on Sunday. Had plenty of food and felt safe and distanced. Safety precautions were taken.
Food was great.
Preferencing this review with the fact I haven't been to a Hofbräuhaus in other cities and there's an expectation of "European-style service."
This place clearly needs the construction around it that was planned, but canceled (soccer stadium, etc) as the place was pretty empty. Mostly older couples (55+) and families. Service took absolutely forever and the food was nothing to be excited about. My order arrived cold, but given our server didn't return for 20-30 minutes, couldn't do anything about it. I think they're trying their best with their current staffing situation, but it took over 20 minutes just to get a lid for a to go drink... Would not go back.
Food has changed. Potato pancakes are small and not a lot of flavor.
Great food, as always! Great service, as always! They have weathered this COVID pandemic, and still serve with a smile!
It was meh. Average at best. Would not come again though.
Great food and beer! We miss the keg tappings and the German bands and hope things will be back to normal someday.
Ate on Valentine's day. Special menu was good value. Service great.
Great food, lots of seating. Made a 4pm reservation on a Sunday and was surprised at seat availability. The snow storm probably had a little too do with that. Was hoping to hear some live music. Beer was excellent.
We ate at Hofbrauhaus for Valentine's Day. We ordered the special for $60, which I feel was a great deal! My husband and I each got 1 liter of beer, an entree, and 3 chocolate covered strawberries on a beautifully chocolate and raspberry cream decorated plate.
The Hofbräuhaus was ok, we will go back to the Hofbräuhaus.
Food was very good and server was friendly. Over all a nice time
Limited menu selections due to just reopening. Otherwise, very nice. Little pricey.
Food was great. Had doors open and heaters at doors and seated tables by door. Was nice. Took wife for birthday
The beers and food are delicious. The ambiance is great. You really feel like you’re in Germany.
Had a great time. Had a great meal. Had outstanding service as always!! We love this place and hope to be able to return many more time!!
Such a beautiful restaurant. Service was great and food was wonderful! Really enjoyed potato pancake with applesauce. YUM!
Took my daughter there "in the era of COVID". Surprised that the huge hall didn't have people spread throughout to maintain social distancing: but everyone have to be in `open air'. Government rules assuming smaller eating spaces are probably to blame. With the shortened menu, had great appetizers and entrees. For that, would definitely recommend and will go there again. They lost a star for their desserts. Their black forest cake was very expensive for the size, too sugary, and lacked the taste of cherry liquor.
Awesome service! Perfect setup for social distancing. Food was outstanding!
Had a 530 reservation and had to wait almost an hour. Currywurst had been heated up. The bread dumpling was dry.
As always, the food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Loved our waitress. But it was freezing cold and a bit uncomfortable. When making the reservation it should of said we would be in front of the open door with no heaters. Food was very good!
We happened to attend on a particularly slow day as I know it's usually a very crowded venue, but it was lovely! The food was authentic and fantastic and the service was great.
