Our server was wonderful. He suggested the tuna poke bowl and it was delicious. Such a relaxing and charming spot.

This is my third visit to the restaurant and I have enjoyed myself each time. The food this time, though I didn’t enjoy my choice. In the past, I’ve had the Poké bowl and I’ve loved it but this time I had the saffron chicken breast sandwich and salad. The sandwich was very difficult to eat as the tzatziki sauce that was put on the bread made everything slide, and I had to deconstruct it and use my knife and fork to eat. Also, the salad had far too much dressing on it and was quite soggy so in future, I will ask for the dressing on the side.

Booked mid autumn high tea, was told less than 24 hrs in advance that they are not continuing The Peninsula collab. That was the whole point of this high tea booking. They left a voicemail and told me that they replace the mooncake with a “local boutique bakery”. The mooncake that was replaced with The Peninsula mooncakes was from bake code, which is down the street and definitely was not a boutique bakery. Not to mention the service received was horrible. Had to flag down someone to get water refill and bill. The only bright side was the tea treats was not a huge portion. Probably the worst place I’ve been in the city. No wonder the Google rating is so low and the place was empty on a Sunday.

Fantastic (helpful, attentive, polite) service, beautifully prepared food, and actually quite a respectable value for a really pleasant and cool experience.

The chopped salad was chinzy and an embarrassment for the price. The smart server brought something else. Either add a pile more food on that plate or rethink the dish. Also, isn't it time the menu varied for those of us who come often to the cafe? LS

I love it there but it’s annoying when you pay a lot for a side order of tomatoes and you get 2 little slices. One time 3 one time 4 now 2! I commented to the waiter and he said I’ll pass it on! Really wrong answer
