Had a great time
One of our go to places in Austin as it is always outstanding. John, our waiter, added to the enjoyment. He suggested an excellent Cab-Merlot Duckhorn meritage that enhanced the fine dinners. Perfect Valentine's Day Evening. Also appreciated the attention by the Asst. General Manager Earnest.
Food and atmosphere were amazing! We really enjoyed it.
Don was our server and he was fantastic – the onion rings are totally wonderful as is the onion soup. The lamb chops were perfectly done and scrumptious – the lobster tail was very pricey but tasty – – overall we will be back, soon! And we will ask for Don to be our server. The wine pours were decent
Really great service and food in a nice quite place. We had a perfect evening.
Great meal and experience from start to finish!
The food, location downtown...all first rate. I have a gluten allergy and could have almost any dis with adjustments. Fantastic
This was only our second visit and we were once again pleased with the food and service of III Forks. This is a nice place for a nice meal. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Our overall experience was great, from service to the food. We did feel the live music was a bit on the loud side. Too loud for the space. Other than that, we had a great time. We look forward to our next visit. Oh.... our server, Dennis was outstanding! I think we will even ask to be seated in his section on our next visit.
Great food and wonderful experience. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful. First time experience and would not hesitate to go again.
Awesome service and food
The service was excellent. The four of us had steaks and they were delicious. We will definitely return.
Great service! Our waiter was superb!
Great Restaurant, excellent service . Steaks top notch
Will be back
Had a great time.
We absolutely LOVE III Forks. It’s the only place we will go for a steak in Austin. It’s always perfect- the service, the food, the drinks!!! Always a pleasure to visit w Earnest- a fabulous host!!
Can’t wsit to visit again!!
The Schmidt Family
My man Daniel was the best, food was incredible and Daniel did a great job. Goal is to try every steak on the menu this year.
This a good steakhouse in Austin.
Pros: Food is great! I would recommend the mashed potatoes and the bone in ribeye. The mashed potatoes were my favorite! Super cheesy and creamy! The restaurant also has a nice environment and comfortable seating.
Cons: Service was definitely spotty at times mostly due to a noticeable lack in the number of servers. The tables are also placed pretty closed together thus causing an increase in sound around the restaurant. The pricing of the dry aged steaks is significantly more expensive than other restaurants in the area such as, Capital Grille.
Verdict: Overall, this was a good dining experience. I am being picky because I have been to other steakhouses in the Austin area.
I feel very mislead by the high reviews of this place. Service was absolutely terrible, food was just ok other than my husbands steak was initially undercooked, came back over cooked, tried for a third time and came back undercooked again. The server was extremely unprofessional, she touched tips of our straws and forks with bare hands, very scattered and overall unprofessional. I was taking a drink of water and the buser picked up my plate and bumped the bottom of my glass which caused the glass to hit my tooth HARD, busser apologized but lacking empathy. My husband ordered sparkling water when we sat down and had to remind the staff 3 different times that he was still waiting for it. This place is operated by a bunch of clowns...stay away.
Outstanding experience. Food service staff music ambiance all was great! Highly recommend.
One of our favorite places to eat. Great service and fantastic food. Everything we have ever ordered has been top notch!
I chose this restaurant from a list of many steakhouses in Austin to meet some friends and family while visiting Austin. What a genius I turned out to be. We loved everything about this restaurant. The food was delicious and our host was magnificent. I will definitely be back to enjoy all over again.
As usual, III Forks delivers on every level. I hadn't been there in years and wondered if it would be as good as I remembered....IT WAS! The service is impeccable, and the food is delicious. The birthday boy(my 28-yr old nephew) was thrilled and delighted and said it would be a dinner he would remember for years to come! A wonderful evening was had by all. THANK YOU III FORKS!
Our server was phenomenal and the food was cooked perfectly. There was a high level of attention to detail with regard to the timing. From drinks, to starters, entrees and desserts everything was like clockwork. I will certainly dine here again the next time I am in Austin.
I was very disappointed in the quality of the food for the price . My husband and nephew both had s steak which wasn’t any better then Texas Roadhouse . I had the salmon which was over cooked and on the dry side . The service was great , no problem there
Rachel and Eric we're very knowledgeable and helpful on gluten free options. Great service from everyone. We enjoyed a great evening.
impressive, amazing, fabulous just cant describe how we felt at your restaurant. 5 star reference isn't enough, you deserve shooting stars.
Thank you for making our client appreciation dinner top notch!
An amazing meal with amazing service
It was wonderful and will definitely go again. I have already recommended to many of my friends.
Was celebrating a birthday which they forgot ALL about! So wasn’t special at all. Food was ok but over priced along with their drinks. Will not be going back.
Everything was wonderful
Best service anywhere
pepper sauce is great. also provide parking in city garage across street
Wonderful service to celebrate two milestones. Our server and server in training were both exceptional. We felt welcomed from the time we entered to the time we left.
Had NYE reservations. After arriving, informed my table wasn’t quite ready, and to wait at the bar, which is fine. Waited over 10mins before being able to order a glass of wine. Bartenders did not seem attentive nor friendly. After ordering the ribeye medium, it arrived fairly undercooked and I had to send back. When it arrived again, I found the inside to be quite tough, almost like this steak had been previously frozen and then just cooked without adequate preparation. The server (Dennis I believe) was great and the highlight of my otherwise disappointing first visit, especially for the prices charged. I don’t consider my expectations to be unreasonable, and have had many great experiences in other local steakhouses. I’ll be sticking with those instead.
Food and service was great but every visit, we always end up with drinks being wrong. They could definitely spend more time on bartender training and learning to make the classics.
I had to wait at least 15 min for my sparkling water while everyone else at table had flat water. I thought was a bit long to wait for a beverage.
I was surprised that even with a 6:00 PM reservation we were seated in the bar area. Our server was Marie - 247. She was less than attentive. The gentleman who refilled our water was much friendlier and more attentive than Marie. I was going to order rack of lamb but was vacillating between that and a steak. She said she had received complaints that the lamb "was too gamey" so I opted for the steak. My wife ordered her steak medium bordering on medium well. It came out identical to my medium rare. We sat there for awhile because Marie did not follow up to see if our food was OK. I asked another waiter in the area if he could send Marie to our table but he asked the problem and took care of it himself. Marie finally showed up and kind of had an "oh well" attitude. The fried lobster appetizer was wonderful and the food was quite good (after the steak returned). But overall, the service was disappointing. When I spend a couple of hundred dollars on an evening meal and drinks, I expect to have an "Eddie V's" kind of experience.
The recommendation for the fried lobster bites as an appetizer made the meal. Everything was perfect and this was a perfect New Years Eve dinner.
The Pork Chop Is Yummy! Great presentation.
Love the Spinach and Potatoes.
