Nice first visit to Il Cappero. Our party enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, mozzarella sticks, and meatballs for appetizers; shrimp & pasta special, chicken parmesan, chicken piccata, and fettuccine bolognese for entrees; chocolate fondant and tiramisu for dessert; several glasses of wine and two espressos. Meals were good overall, the chicken piccata sauce deemed "a little too lemony" and the tiramisu "perfectly balanced". Our server Brent seemed to handle many tables with ease, dropping in to check on us at well-timed intervals. A solid choice for homestyle Italian.

Usually, decent basic Italian but this time the chicken marsala had no marsala flavor at all. Disappointing.

We visit once or twice a month and the service has always been excellent, personable and just the right amount of visits. The food is quite good for the money, and adequately portioned. The staff ask how it was and have never complained if we have special requests. It’s nice to support a local business over a chain.

My wife and I visited II Cappero for the 1st time on Mother's Day. I did a Hard Target Search for a nice restaurant in he Leesburg area to take her to, because she really deserved to have a nice meal and relax, after having experiencing several recent family tragedies. It is conveniently located off Rte. 7 in the Lansdowne Shopping Centre and has ample free parking. It has an upscale interior and reflects a nice ambience, featuring candlelit tables. The staff operates in a friendly, professional and courteous manner and you can tell they are all well trained. We ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Fondue as an appetizer, along with Chianti. This dish was Absolutely Phenomenal ! Awesomely seasoned with an incredible Tomato Cream Sauce that comes in a fresh Edible Bread Bowl that is so extremely tasty and the Shrimp & Scallops cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon and it was cooked perfect ! She normally eats about a 1/3 of her meals and takes the rest home. She ate 1/2 she enjoyed it so much. I had the Seafood Marechiara, which is Clams, Sea Scallops and Jumbo Shrimp over Pasta w/a home made Marinera Sauce. Again, we're talking Perfection ! This dish was Awesome ! They have an extensive Wine List and all of the food we ate was 5 Star. We also met Chef Mario, who is the owner. He is very welcoming and his food reflects the passion he has for his craft. What makes him stand out is that he visits the dining room and makes sure he touches all the tables making his guests feel special. Our server Adela was The Best ! She answered all of our questions, checked on us just the right amount of times and provided outstanding service. II Cappero is our New Fave Restaurant and we strongly recommend that you pay them a visit and experience an Incredible Dining Experience !
