    Food good. Extremely small dishes and very pricey for what they give you. Felt very rushed. There’s a fine line between attentive service and being annoyed every 5 minutes by waitstaff. Owner/manager only came to patrons tables that are regulars at the establishment. Didn’t bother checking on newcomers opinions or just to say hello. Don’t think I will be back as when you add everything up, this isn’t the last chance motel.

    I’ve been going by this restaurant for a few years likely what I saw from outside! I am only commenting on this because if I was the owner I would like to know! On scale of 1-10 and 10 being best! Note: I eat out a lot and know the business is not easy but thought this feedback might be helpful! 1.) service 9-10 2.) food portion 6-7 3.) food quality 7 4.) price ok if quality and portion was better Other notes are: when we eat out we are asking ourselves would we come back and/or recommend and the first thought was neither! Also the fried calamari for $20 !!! Even if only $10 I wouldn’t serve that amount or presentation to anyone! Desert was excellent, coffee and drinks excellent but I wouldn’t serve expect that based on price! All that matched perfectly! Meatballs were excellent! Rated a 9-10 Not meant to be harsh but rather trying to be helpful!

    Stopped in before a concert around the corner and so glad we did. We shared an assortment from the 'street food" list and everything was delicious--lamb lollipops, piadina and calamari plus a fabulous chocolate budino with mounds of cream. We were really awed by the staff--everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Other diners' main courses looked great so we'll be going back for a full meal!

    Finally, a meal worth raving about! It has been years since we’ve had a restaurant experience this wonderful. Ever since COVID, we’ve found ourselves leaving restaurants wondering whether the food was really worth the price. Well, Il Pellicano reminded us that a truly excellent dinner can still be had. We started with the olive oil flight, which was such a lovely way to begin. I ordered the puttanesca, and I can say without hesitation it was the best I’ve ever had. Our foodie friends visiting from New Haven ordered the gnocchi and the wild mushroom pappardelle, and they were absolutely delighted. My wife had the shrimp scampi and loved every bite. What made the evening even more special was the service. The waitstaff was exceptionally attentive, polished, and professional without ever making the experience feel formal or fussy. There is something so satisfying about a restaurant that gets all the little things right. Beautifully prepared food, wonderful service, and the pleasure of sitting around a table with people you love, enjoying a meal that feels worth every penny. We left already talking about coming back. And that, to me, says everything.

    Our 5th or 6th trip to Il Pellicano and first time we've been a bit disappointed. Overall, it was fine but some slippage from our prior visits. Perhaps a very busy night? It was certainly noisy. Bread dishes brought to table were dirty and needed another trip thru the dishwasher. I ordered two Manhattans and they were different drinks - not sure why. I was fine drinking both, but they were different drinks. My wife had the puttanesca pasta. No offer for parmesan cheese - had to ask and meanwhile half of dish was eaten. My dish came with a volpino reduction that was cold and a bit gloopy. Dessert was yummy as was appetizer.
