For a place like inter cont and being Theo Randall Resturant the starters were very average-it is better not to have a brunch -having said that the service was good and the beef wellington was good. would I go again probably not

Really disappointed with my experience. No one took a drinks order the entire time we were here. I had to chase someone down to order 2 glasses of wine which took around 30mins and 3 further requests to receive. Similar situation for water. Food is advertised as served until 4pm but was packed away at 3:30. We were also asked to leave at 4pm on the dot, despite booking saying we had the table for 2 hours. We travelled from Southampton to celebrate a special wedding anniversary and this really wasn’t the experience we expected for the money.

Lovely food and enjoyed the buffet style. Service from the young male server was excellent, he was attentive and explained the menu.

A total waste of money - was even worse than a Toby Carvery but for 5 times the price. Firstly, we were sat down and then left - no drink orders taken, I had to call a waiter over after 20 mins to order our drinks. The selection at the 'carvery' was a small piece of pork and the beef wellington - no poultry on offer at all. There was another selection to the right which consisted of salmon and a lamb that had been stewed overnight. This was very nice but the vegetable accompaniments were absolutely dire, the potatoes were like cardboard and the roasted carrots and parsnips were burnt and flavourless. I was so disappointed with the entire trip. A waste of over £150 for 2 of us for the lunch, a bottle of sparkling water and a coke!

Eaten here twice now and the flavours they manage to achieve in even the simplest dishes are quite outstanding. Staff are discreet and attentive without being stuffy, well able to show interest in the guests at just the right level.

I was expecting a restaurant with beautiful more refined surroundings and ultimately it’s a bistro type restaurant with very little flair, no windows and I felt we could be sitting anywhere on the high street. The food was ok, not overly tasty and not presented as well as other carvery/buffet type restaurants of the same calibre and location. When it came to desert it was quite empty although the chef did go and get some more crumble and not good choices. The Service from Salam was exceptional and made the experience very pleasurable.

We had quite high expectations with the brunch. To be honest we left feeling quite disappointed. My husband had the signature deal and I went for the regular one. My husband had the beef wellington. Before we left the hotel we used the washroom and he was sick actually. Since we got back there are still a few times of the belly issues. I personally felt let down by the choices of starters/salads and felt the main course options for regular brunch was not satisfactory.

The variety and quality of the food was really good. The waiters and managers were doing their best but one or two more members of staff would have made the service much more smoother. The restaurant is too dark for a lunch/brunch service.

My mother and I, were meant to attend the Sunday Brunch on Mother's day, but had to reschedule a week later due to injury - and we are so glad we did! The restaurant was calm and the service was high standard. The food was beyond my expectation, and we plan to return for another meal soon.

It’s a shame that a hotel like the Intercontinental on Park Lane serves brunch in a room with no windows or natural light whatsoever. Otherwise, the food was good and the service was decent.
