While the food has always been good at japonica the service we received is lacking which was shocking given previous pleasant experiences. We tried to enjoy the last hour of happy hour but were not checked in on to the level of service we expected given our prior experience. Then when we paid the tab we were rushed out under the expectation that there is a 90 minute limit which we were not told about prior. I have been to restaurants where there is an explicit time limit listed where we were treated more respectfully and with much more kindness and a welcoming environment. Hoping this is a one off as japonica was one of our favorite restaurants but we were left feeling extremely unwelcome and rushed out. There were many rude comments and attitude from some staff that made us feel very uncomfortable. Hoping they do better in the future.

My second visit to this restaurant with friends, this time for a birthday celebration. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary birthday dessert! Definitely coming back with friends again.

Interesting mix of dishes and food. Prices are very reasonable. Servers were very polite but food wait time was a mix. When we first arrived our initial orders were extremely prompt. Secondary orders were vey slow for delivery. Men’s bathroom was dirty, smelly and without hand towels. Quality of the food was very good.

We love Japonica!! We have yet to order anything on the menu that is not good… truly everything is unique and delicious. Great vibes and awesome service. I think about this sushi at least once a week. It’s amazing!!

Food was delicious as always! Enjoyed celebrating my birthday. Less the fact the waiter forgot, reminder on the reservation plus let him know too verbally after getting the check and boxed up left overs. After another 15 mins I had to ask our regular AMAZING waiter Jason. He brought it right away. The mocha ice cream had been sitting out for on about and melted. This service was unacceptable. I bring all my friends here for their birthdays and never a bad experience. It was my own this time which made the experience not good. Bad taste in mouth & have NEVER had that here before. I am a repeat customer who has recommended this place to several people. I DO NOT want this to happen to them especially if they come for their own b-days.
