Joe Muer Bloomfield Hills
Restaurant is beautiful. Management seems to stay, however, service seems like a revolving door. The Bloomfield location is close to my residence should be my go to restaurant but it not.
Outstanding 72nd Anniversary celebration
A little overpriced, but having said that it was the food, service and atmosphere we wanted. So we will go back.
Outstanding food and service. Our server Matthew was excellent.
6:00pm reservations for two. Not too many people in yet. We were seated adjacent to a walkway between the silverware station and the booth in the bar area where manager/owner types were conducting business. Felt like I was somewhere between the kitchen and the office.
Special was "white" salmon. My friend decided to order the Salmon. After it was ordered the color of the Salmon was explained and at the end of the explanation he said "tastes the same though". So why are you
charging $49.99 for something that tastes like what I could grill in my back yard for less than $10? Service was good, food was otherwise good.
Bill was spot on, so was his team. Between the delicious meal and his execution of the evening......WOW!
My experience was good however the food that I ordered wasn’t that good. Should’ve asked for a refund. The menu needs a grilled chicken fillet and more shrimp dishes.
I entertain clients for business several times per week at very fine restaurants. I am no stranger to a great meal. This place is pretentious and incredibly cheesy. The food was good, but the hostess was snobby and the server annoying. Get some real people working here that understand service and sincerity.
we shared scallops were excellent! cocktails very nice
Another great experience. It was raw bar and sushi nite. No disappointments. Oysters selection fresh and flavorful. Sushi was a home run. service was excellent.
Very expensive, and the waiter was really pushing lots of a la carte items.....
Lunch with a friend. Food, service and ambiance were perfect. Seafood Cobb was delicious and the desserts are sinful. Looking forward to my next dining experience at Joe Muer's.
Our food was excellent. The tuna tartare appetizer was delicious and the bouillabaisse was lovely. Service was good.
Great...the food was excellent and the service was superb!
First time to Joe Muer Seafood in Bloomfield hill and the service and food was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Everything was great! Only downside was the host was not very pleasant. Our server was David, and he was outstanding! He made great recommendations, and was able to have a conversation without being overbearing the entire evening. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, which was nice! The food came out without much of a wait. Everyone in my party enjoyed everything from the bread, to the drinks, to dessert!! Thank you David for a great experience!
Best place in the Detroit area for brunch, lunch or dinner. Simply outstanding food and service in a great environment.
Entree was ok. Calamari was disgusting!
Could not get my steak done medium it first came out rare. Sent it back and it came back very well done.
Best high end restaurant in Detroit would highly recommend!
The Lamb was supposed to be Colorado but it looked and tasted more like New Zealand. Very small eye on the chops. Very unusual for Colorado Lamb. The rest of the meal was good though not worth the price.
We did enjoy ourselves. And, would do it again. Great menu and they do special prep if you need it.
Excellent service and food. Environment was very nice, but just bordered on noisy. Prices however are high.
Food terrible. Service poor
Our waitress was outstanding. We came to celebrate our friends birthday and were NOT disappointed. We ordered several of the recommendations from our waitress and WOW!! Quality in food, presentation and preparation. We will definitely be coming back.
This is an outstanding dining experience. Not just a restaurant wit a great meal. A true dinig experience with tuxedoed waitstaff that anticipate what you want/need before you can ask.
The meal was outstanding!
We went for our anniversary dinner and were very pleased with the overall experience. Having been to the original Joe Muer's in Detroit, we were looking forward to the same high quality food and service. We were not disappointed. Our server, Tonya Gray, was exceptional. She was always nearby to offer our next course or glass of wine. Her attention to our needs, and her fun, but professional personality added to our evening. We will be back and will ask for Tonya.
The restaurant is beautiful & very comfortable. The service was very good. Other than the clam chowder, which was excellent, the food was fair & definitely overpriced. We could have gotten similar meals of equal quality for about half or even two-thirds the price at other restaurants in the area. We will definitely not return, the ambience & service were not worth paying the excessive prices for fair food.
The staff was so friendly and informative we had such a great date night and will definitely return!
Amazing seafood, great service. We had a lovely dinner!
Great waiter. Nice variety of food
We took our guests to Joe Muer’s in Bloomfield Hills. The food was delicious. I had the 10 oz lobster tail and others had perch and Dover sole. Noel was our waitress. She was a little slow and interjected in conversation sometimes. The table we sat at wasn’t ideal. We were right at the doorway so we were in the traffic pattern. Overall, the time we spent there was good.
Great food and service. Enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend.
Wait staff bickered in front of patron (us) because wait staff poured regular water into glass that had sparking water in it.
Manager/General Manager bused dirty plates from our table.
Very long wait between salad and entrees.
Food was very good and pastry chef desserts were fabulous.
Everyone was friendly from the moment we stepped inside. The restaurant is lovely and the food was divine. There were enough choices to satisfy anyone and the dessert was especially good. I highly recommend the Strawberry Cloud.
Great meal. Nice ambiance. Great waitperson. Can't think what else to say, it was all good.
Very romantic classic look. Unfortunately our waitress, with 40 yrs. Of experience, did her best to be smug, condescending, and insulting. The lobster bisque is the Manhattan version (tomatoe?). The branzino was excellent and the sea bass (?) Was good. Unfortunately the grilled whitefish, while nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, was filled with bones. I returned it. The dessert chef is gifted! The coconut cake and cheesecake were orgasmic. Our desserts were comped because of the fish. Very nicely handled by the GM. Food was overpriced for the preparation.
Dover Sole is Amazing and Lee is a excellent server !
It was fantastic from the venue, the staff, the service and of course the food. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We will be back.
