The food is good, one of the only two reasons we come back, and for nostalgic reasons. Service has always been bad. We’ve been here many times, and only once received good service (by the host). Servers never check back, and I mean that. The hostess there this particular day was literally chewing gum, and popping bubbles. The menus, tables, and chairs are sticky, and dirty. We prepare every time b/c we know what we are in for. Props to the kitchen staff, the only reason it’s worth going.

I loved sitting out on the deck, that was really nice. The cocktails were good. I felt like the halibut dish I had was very spicy, but otherwise lacked flavor, which was disappointing. I had put a note on my reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary, and neither the hostess or waiter acknowledged it. We chose this restaurant because it was easy walking distance from our hotel, and that was great, but I would say the food was just okay.

We had such a great time at Killer Shrimp MDR. From the food (the Killer Shrimp "shelled" bowl is to die for....the shrimp are large and well cooked, the sauce soup is so tasty, and it comes with sliced bread that goes perfectly with the soup!), to the ambiance (we got to sit by a window overlooking the water), and most especially the great service (Callie was an amazing server, and Jose was the best, went above and beyond for us) - we could not have asked for a better experience.

Visiting from out of town and came to the restaurant for the first time. Invited cousins of mine from Redondo Beach to meet me there. We enjoyed the location and the ambience. The food was good, but could’ve been better. We had a muscles appetizer that was not overly large and at least six of the shells were not opened at all so un edible. The broth was delicious and would be an outstanding dish, but just ended up not having enough of them. I had paella which was good, however, the clams did not open at all, so weren’t able to be eaten, and there was no saffron, which is extremely disappointing. Paella has to have some saffron. So nice taste, but not overly paella tasting. (if they do use saffron, they wave it over it. lol ) The lobster shrimp enchiladas were outstanding a little rich, so I would definitely encourage splitting the entrée with someone but soooo good! Server was super sweet, but not attentive and very slow. She never showed up after our food came ( by someone else) so couldn’t even tell her about the muscles. Had to hunt her down to get a box and a check. And before my family came, I asked her to make sure she split the checks so when she brought the checks to the table, she actually announced it, which was unnecessary and I would’ve rather her not. 🙄 should’ve just set them down. My daughter lives super close so was disappointing that it was a little below expectations

The food was excellent; our out of the country guests enjoyed their selected dishes! The original spicy shrimp dish was thoroughly enjoyed! We had a very good lunch.

Hostess was a bit rude when we arrived, not sure why, we greeted her warmly. Overall, the restaurant just feels way too big for the number of tables and patrons. There large amounts of empty space and the indoor dining options don’t look very appealing. Overall the food was decent but not something I would consider a return trip for.

It was so loud in the main dining room we had to leave at the end of the meal and skipped desert because it was bothering two of our elderly guests. It took about 30 mins from ordering to get our drinks (draft beer, wine, soda, old fashion) and a little longer for the food. The food was good and portions were big. If you are sound sensitive (I am in sports venues at least 100 days a year and am not sensitive) this place is extra loud, so sit outside (up to a part of 4 only outside). I have been supporting killer shrimp and killer cafe for almost 2 decades and the food is good, I dont recall it ever being that loud before
