King Ranch Texas Kitchen - Post Oak
Great 1st experience!
This was our first time to visit King Ranch Kitchen. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was delicious. We tried the fried quail and brisket queso along with the bread basket. Main dishes included the Prime Ribeye, Chicken Fried Steak, and BBQ plate. The portions are huge and the sides are big enough to be shared. The drink menu is extensive and they have a lot to choose from. Definitely will return and eat here again.
Great ambiance. So glad to see a resturant like this one go into this space. We will be returning!!
Surprisingly nice dinner.
The food, service and atmosphere was excellent ! We will definitely go back !
The food was amazing! The steaks were excellent 😊
First time at a King Ranch restaurant, and I was quite impressed. Figured since it was owned by Tillman it would be like a Salt Grass, but it was much much better. Very Good!
Great food and service, we will be going back again
Great atmosphere and great food. Service was outstanding and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
From the moment you walk in until you leave, everything was awesome. Food and drinks were delicious and the service was incredible. We will definitely be coming back.
What a disappointing birthday dinner for our son. We hated our underwhelming table, right at the entrance and just narrow, nothing special at all about it. With 3 large men in the group, my husband moved to the end of the table just to be comfortable to eat. Our wine glasses all had a moldy rag smell, even the new ones that were replaced. That was gross. Our waiter was taking care of a much more important party of 10 or so, and couldn’t be found when we needed things. We asked about our Landry Points at the beginning, never heard back from the waiter on those, I specifically asked the amount. Not a priority at all. The food was average and I guess we were expecting more, maybe a little history of the restaurant and the King Ranch, it was never mentioned. The noise level was obnoxious.
We will never come back.
First time. Food and menu was incredible. Waiter was good, a bit awkward and inexperienced, but great attitude. A bit pricy for the overall experience, but we had a great time! Would definitely return for the food alone. So many good entrees to choose from and try.
Very enjoyable. Waitress very helpful and kind. Will certainly return with friends. A great place to wear your hat!
We went for lunch. It was good! We definitely want to go back to try dinner.
I always enjoyed my meals here since the opening. Relaxing dining.
Every one enjoyed their food. The stacked enchilada was more of a cascadea. It needed more brisket in it. Skip the egg on top it’s not needed.
It was not busy on a Sunday night. Service was excellent - even reminded me to use my Landry's card. Unlike when I was there on Dec 13.
Food was good. Lots of options. Wasn’t rushed. Wait staff let us take our time. Overall great experience.
Great food, good service, worth the visit, will definitely come back.
The atmosphere really makes you feel like you might be a cowgirl/boy. It lets you pretend for a while to be a true Texas Rancher. The menu offers something for everybody, even my vegetarian daughter and I found the crab cake just right! And the seating arrangements are varied, therefore can accommodate all personalities. We ate our crab cake at one of the High Top tables in the bar along with a bottle of Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio while watching a football game on New Year's Eve. We loved it! In fact, we loved it so much, we went back the next evening to try to few other sharable dishes. Tillman gets an A ++.
excellent food selections
probably need more servers as our waitress had many tables
Tried happy hour, limited Cabernets but the Burgers and 7 spice fries were outstanding.
Had a nice time overall. Second visit for us and we will definitely be back.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere made the experience really fun. We'll be going back.
New Year’s Eve dining. Good service and nice ambiance.
Service was bad, rushed to order food and drinks! Food order wad Did not come to the table correct. Quality of food was not good. Overall this is a restaurant that I would not recommend.
The service was very attentive. The decor and general vibe was, as the name suggests, a ranch theme. The appetizers were good and the food was also good. We enjoyed our dinner.
The service and food were outstanding. The service on NYE was some of the best we have had in the city since restaurants have reopened.
I would definitely recommend!
Some dishes were fantastic, some were so so.
This food is amazing! We sampled through the menu so to speak and had no food that disappointed ! The variety you experience here is truly Texas ! From the fresh tanned leather smell as you enter the doors to the smell of chipotle and tequila in the bar, truly a gem n the galleria and worth the drive!
King Ranch is a great place for a business lunch or meeting up with friends to watch a game or just to catch up.
Food is good but heavy so make sure to walk off the food afterwards
Both the food and service was excellent and the only reason everything was not rated a 5 was the noise level was pretty high in my opinion. I will return though. We had a 7:15 PM reservation and arrived early and was seated immediately.
Servers, bartenders and management are all very educated about everything they serve there. Service is second to none! Outstanding!
Quail appetizer was great. Loved the prime ribeye and the grilled sausage( an added extra) Service was both friendly and efficient. great ambiance.
I walked in feeling like I was at the Saddle Shop in Kingsville only to smell like steaks vs. leather. Either way its a good smell. The service was perfect in every way. The menu offered a great variety of what you would expect the King Ranch to provide. I was a bit disappointed in my Wagyu steak as it was a bit overcooked. Seasoning was on point though. The lobster medallion was also a bit of a disappointment as it too was overcooked and a surprisingly small portion for the price. My wife ordered the Nilgai and she would recommend it to the Pope. "Outstanding" I believe is what she said. The sides were great as were the drinks and of course dessert. I will be going back!
The customer service was excellent. Everyone ordered different entrees and each one was great.
Food and service were great. Loved the bread baskets snd the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Loved the ranch decor!
The restaurant was awesome and the food and drinks were excellent! Will definitely be back!
Great food and service
Been for Brunch and Dinner, food is good and servers are friendly. Can get busy at night so make a reservation! Outside has heating
Christmas - very nice. Good food and great waitstaff.
