Koocha was founded in 2018 as Bristol’s first totally vegan restaurant – a plant pioneer, we’ve led the way for animal-free cuisine across the city.

What really sets us apart though is the big, unexpected and delicious spices and flavours from Persia and the Middle East that infuse every dish in our bountiful menu.

Our food is as fresh as it comes, sourced locally and sustainably, everything is made from scratch by our talented team. And whether you’re vegan or not, we pride ourselves on our seductive fare – even the most devout meat eaters have declared their love after a meal at one of our tables.

Steamed bao buns, served with shavings of our homemade seitan doner. Garnished with spring onions, cucumber, hoisin sauce and sweet chilli & mint sauce.

Slow roasted cauliflower florets, in a spiced tahini marinade. Served on a base of spinach borani, garnished with pomegranate seeds.
Charred Cabbage Wedge
charred hispi cabbage served with parsnip hummus, miso and tahini for a smoky, umami-rich dish
Crispy Salmon
Beer battered salmon with ghalieh mahi mayo flavoured with coriander and tamarind , topped with garlic samphire.
Loaded Hummus
Creamy hummus topped with seasoned lamb pieces, toasted pine nuts and a sprinkle of fragrant zaatar.
Corn Ribs
Corn on the cob sliced into ribs, tossed in house spices and served with harissa tahini.
Arayas
Sourdough pita stuffed with harissa spiced mince, served with tzatziki and chilli flakes.
Batata Harra
Lebanese style spiced potato cubes tossed in chilli and lemon oil, served with harissa tahini and chilli flakes.

Main dishes were wonderful and tasty as usual. My partner has a caramel tart dessert that had some strange fibres cooked in to it which was not a nice experience. Koocha were amazing though - they comped both desserts we had and gave us 50% off the entire bill. They explained that they outsource their desserts and will be investigating. This experience won’t stop us from visiting Koocha as the food and staff are amazing.

Good food and great service! If you check the menu online and decide on food check availability in the restaurant though as they didn’t have everything on the evening. Food is however really good, every time I’ve been.

Fantastic food, extremely tasty, varied, freshly cooked. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff particularly the two female staff that served us were amazing, so friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming. They had time to talk with us, describe the dishes, and so attentive. We even had a mini spicy Margarita at the end of the meal as it was my son’s birthday. We will definitely return.

As renowned meat eaters this was our first go at a vegan restaurant and we were more than pleasantly surprised. We had an array of Mezze dishes and the flavours and tastes were spectacular. Alongside that there was great service and a full explanation of what we were ordering. We will definitely return for more.
