food taste was alright but over priced. hookah was over priced too. service was close to zero. no one would come to check on you. they didnt serve water, starter came after dinner, half of us got drinks and half kept waiting unless we had to get up from out table and find a server to remind them of missing order. our dinner got cold waiting for starters then drinks and finally when we finished eating we were told the time is up for outdoor booking. we didn’t even had our hookas yet! we spent like 150 on 2 hookahs (got wine/vodka) added for another $20 to a $55 hookah and didnt even get time for it. i will not recommend this place.

I booked my reservation 2 weeks ago however, staff messed up my reservation end moment. When we reached the ladies at reception started to argue that there was no reservation and then said I had wrong phone number in system. After spending 30 minutes, they found the number they were dialing was not correct. Finally after spending more than 30 minutes arguing with us, got the igloo that I reserved however, no apology was received. They were worried about the minimum spending amount only and reminded multiple times even after confirming we don’t have any issue. Service was very good, Sneha did a great job however the initial experience led to an overall bad experience.

It was an amazing experience in there. Worth spending money. Best for family dinners and parties even for romantic date night. I loved malai chaap and their Indian cuisines. Overall it’s worth spending money and you will have best time there.

We went there for our anniversary. Based on the photos and some reviews, it looked like a unique place, but we were quite disappointed by the overall lack of quality. They market it as fine dining, and the prices reflect that, but the experience certainly does not. Starting with the igloo patios—they weren’t well maintained, and the furniture inside felt more like something you’d find at a basic local restaurant. As for the food, the menu is limited, which usually raises expectations, especially given the high prices, but it was far from impressive. The tomato soup tasted more like shahi paneer gravy. We were recommended the kala khatta drink, which was just average, and the chili paneer lacked flavor entirely. Overall, considering the prices, food quality, and ambiance, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I visited LaCeil on Valentine’s Day with two others (table of 3). We even chose the special corner table, which cost an additional $80, thinking that due to the rush we might receive more attentive service. Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Our server, S. Singh, did not even ask us if we wanted water. After our appetizers, we asked for the bill because no one came back to check on us. She then asked if we didn’t want a main course, but the issue was that we were never properly attended to — we weren’t asked about water, and she didn’t return to see if we needed anything. The ambience was beautiful and perfect for Valentine’s Day, but the service truly disappointed us. It ended up affecting our overall experience and unfortunately ruined what was meant to be a special evening. We expected much better from LaCeil.

I wanted to give it a 5 star until I found pieces of Tofu, (not just one) in the paneer curry that we ordered.

FAQs

Yes, La Ciel is a popular spot for romantic nights and special occasions. The rooftop dome/igloo seating and warm, dimly lit interior create a cozy, intimate atmosphere ideal for date nights. Expect a lively vibe on weekends with DJs and live music; weekdays are calmer. Note that service and pacing can be hit-or-miss for some guests, so consider an earlier reservation and mention any special requests when booking.

Family-friendly yes, many guests celebrate birthdays and family dinners here, and the venue accommodates groups and children (there’s even a kids menu). Accessibility is mixed: the rooftop location and occasional elevator outages have created stairs and access challenges for some guests, so call ahead if mobility or elevator access is a concern.

Business casual is recommended. La Ciel markets itself as a fine-dining destination with a stylish rooftop patio, so smart, neat attire fits the ambiance.

For a quieter, more relaxed meal, visit on a weekday (Mon–Thu) or an early seating. If you want lively energy, live music, or DJs, choose weekend evenings (Fri–Sat). Reserve ahead: guests report busy weekends, holiday rushes and occasional seating delays even with reservations.

Yes, many guests celebrate birthdays and family dinners here, and the menu includes a Kids Menu with simple items. The venue’s lively music and igloo patio make it fun for older children and teens; for younger kids consider an early seating or mention family needs when booking.

Portions are mixed, many guests find main courses reasonably filling, while several say some appetizers and desserts feel small for the price. A few guests mentioned tiny portions (e.g., an expensive mushroom starter with only two mushrooms), so sharing plates or ordering a couple of mains is a safe approach if you want value.

The atmosphere is stylish, cozy and unique, most guests love the dome/igloo concept and warm lighting for a memorable night out. Expect a mix of moods: relaxed and intimate on quieter nights, with louder music, live DJs and a party vibe on weekends. Some guests found music too loud or the igloos inconsistently climate-controlled, so timing and seating choice can shape your experience.

If you want a quieter, more relaxed experience choose a weekday (Mon–Thu). If you’re after energy, live music or a party vibe, go on a Friday or Saturday night. For family gatherings or celebrations choose an evening when you can reserve an igloo and confirm any décor or timing details.
