Our gorgeous two story studio space boasts a beautiful mezzanine, dining room and bar overlooking pizzaiolos making hand stretched pizzas on a beautiful wood-fired oven. Juan Vergara is the founder and owner of award winning concepts in NEO such as Barroco, Bar Amazonia, Hola Tacos and now La Pecora Pizzabar. Juan is now making carefully crafted Neapolitan Pizzas after taking a sabbatical in Napoli, Italy where he learned the art of pizza making.     Fantastic New York style pizza. Fav was pear and pistachio but the reds were also very good! Highly Recommend. While the pizza shop was fantastic I do hope they open the arepa restaurant as that was always one of our favs. Either way, this is a gem in the Larchmere district.

    Loved the pizza at La Pecora! The atmosphere is just as great, and I really like how the two spaces offer different experiences. The Pizzabar has a quiet, intimate, upscale feel that makes it a great spot for date night. The Slice Shop is more casual and lively, with a louder atmosphere that feels perfect for families or a relaxed meal with the kids. Fantastic pizza and a setting for whatever kind of night you’re planning. Definitely looking forward to coming back

    Our first time visit revealed really excellent food (we had a New Haven style pepperoni pizza and a Pear & Pistachio pizza for dessert), along with two beers and a dirty Ketel One martini. The draft beer CO2 mechanism was not working correctly so the first draft beer was a bust and a bottled beer had to be ordered next. My martini at $18 (a high price for a rounded champagne glass and only one olive that was not as full as it could have been) was somewhat of a disappointment. Our server had a great personality and liked to chat with his customers, so service was slow as he seemed more focused on conversation than keeping items from the bar and kitchen moving. My request for more olives did not arrive until I had finished my drink and the beer situation was a bummer, however the server did give us one beer gratis. We LOVED the food and will go back to taste again and try other items, bringing friends. And we enjoyed the decor which included fun high-top tables. But the service needs to be worked on. I think this restaurant is a real winner with some tweaking and the best pizza we have tasted in Cleveland yet.

    I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about La Pecora Pizzabar. From the very beginning of planning my husband Joel’s 50th birthday celebration to the moment we walked out the door, the entire experience was absolutely exceptional. What stood out most was the genuine care we received. The owner went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled beautifully, and our server was incredible—warm, attentive, professional, and always one step ahead of anything we could have needed. The timing throughout the evening was flawless. We never felt rushed, yet everything seemed to arrive at exactly the right moment. And the FOOD! Absolutely phenomenal. Every single thing that came to the table was delicious, beautifully prepared, and enjoyed by our entire group. The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming, and somehow the team managed to make the evening feel less like we were simply having dinner at a restaurant and more like they were helping us celebrate with family. Most importantly, my husband felt incredibly loved on his 50th birthday. That was all I wanted when I began planning this night, and La Pecora helped me give him exactly that. The attention to detail, hospitality, food, service, and kindness exceeded my expectations. There are restaurants where you remember the meal, and then there are places where you remember how they made you feel. La Pecora gave us both. Thank you to the owner, our wonderful server, and the entire La Pecora team for helping us create such a beautiful memory for Joel and our family. We will absolutely be back, and I would recommend La Pecora without hesitation for a special celebration—or simply an amazing night out. Truly a 10/10 experience.
