Landry's Seafood House - San Luis
Restaurant near the middle of seawall action. Great view. Lobster was delicious!!
New year’s day
Went here for New Years and it was great!! Food was awesome, great service, great food. The flow was seamless!
Had a reservation for 7:30 PM arrived at 7:25 PM and was told we had to wait 35 to 40 minutes. This led me to believe that they had overbooked for New Year’s evening. Customers were also coming in who did not have a reservation and decided to wait and stand around thereby causing a concern of Covid distancing not being practiced. There were people waiting for their tables not wearing a mask over their face. This was disturbing and could not understand why it was not being enforced they were not eating they were just standing talking and waiting. I was just fixing to ask my boyfriend for us to leave go back to the hotel and not continue to wait when they came and indicated our table was ready so we stayed. The food was very good however the waitress who was always polite had an accent. With her strong accent and the mask on it was difficult to hear her at times but we were able to get our food she was really good no fault to her other than the fact that it was difficult to understand what she was saying. We had filet mignon with mushrooms and Keylime pie for dessert the food was very good and well prepared.
New Years eve
Everything was delicious!
It was cold and rainy in Galveston so we didn't expect much on the seawall, but the restaurant wasn't really decorated up much and the food was ok - not exceptional - the price was high so I expected exceptional. Landry's also wiped out all of my loyalty point after one year even though many of their sites were closed for much of the year and that was aggravating.
Easy going atmosphere. Crappy margaritas. Good food. Excellent service.
Food was average. Server was very busy. More like an average chain restaurant.
This place has gone down hill in terms of value. The portions have shrunk considerably, and the prices have risen sharply.
Never disappoints. Superb gumbo. Took good care of us Christmas Day. I highly recommend Landry’s for quality.
My steak was ordered Medium rare and Iit was cooked well done. I was on a time constraint so I could not send it back. I was disappointed because other than that the steak would have been perfect.
Gumbo was Luke warm. Didn’t come out for my mother when salads came out. Alaskan grab legs were overcooked and chewy. Fettuccine pasta was over cooked. Bar drinks took over 30 minutes to be served. Son in law had to go to bar to refill water and soft drinks. Rarely saw waitress. We were very disappointed that everything took so long and we’re not kept informed regarding order. Tillman Fertitta would be very disappointed in the service and the food.
Food was ok, nothing special
Nice location with ocean view.
Best seafood on the Seawall!!!
Awesome food and service!! Great portions! Definitely be back!
Our waitress Hollie greeted us with a big smile welcoming us to Landry’s. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations! We always get the Bar Trash as an appetizer. Hollie asked if we had ever added a crab cake? We added it - soo delicious! I love the Southern Fish. Perfectly cooked and delicious!
Very good food as always. Wonderful to sit outside socially-distanced and enjoy the view of the Gulf. For sure, one of the BEST places to dine during the pandemic!
I planned a surprise dinner for my gf birthday and let’s just say it came out wonderful the staff was amazing the food was amazing they kept her cake while we waited they was nice perfect everyone had a amazing time I will be back!!!
Great service and great food always at Landry’s Seafood.
Food was fantastic. Service was great with a view of the ocean. It was a wonderful experience for our 10th anniversary dinner. Thank you.
Very nice evening with great food and service. We will definitely be back!!!
The food was delicious! I highly recommend the crawfish bread and fried shrimp!
We had a wonderful time. Our server was personable; the food was delicious, and the restaurant feels inviting.
Thanksgiving
Great service. Good food. Comfortable place to dine.
If I could give zero stars for the food I would. It was horrible. Salmon was under cooked and overall no flavor.
The waiter was nice, but never asked if I was a Landry's Select member, which I am. The restaurant was very cold and the wait time with a reservation was too long. We waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated and was on time for our reservation.
Dinner was fine. Server was not attentive and missed putting in the side salad I ordered. I expected better service and higher quality food
Food was not good. Not the quality that I expect for the prices charged.
We sat on the patio. Weather was nice and oysters fantastic!
The $16.99 lunch box special is a pretty good deal. We had the house salad and Grilled Salmon. The complimentary bread is so good.
I enjoyed every aspect of my experience after the initial "bartender experience". My fiancee and I walked into the venue and were immediately greeted by a server and told that someone would be with us shortly. This made us feel very welcome. Shortly thereafter, another server greeted us and told us that he had our 7pm reservations, and a table would be available shortly. The server then invited us to order a drink at the bar while we were waiting. My fiancee excused herself to the restroom, and I waited for over 5 minutes for the bartender to come over to me. I wouldn't have mind so much, but there were only three other customers at the bar and they all had drinks. The bartender went so far as to look my way three separate times and then LEAVE the bar area to apparently "check on " other customers seated at tables. I was the only African American customer in that area of the venue at the time, and the only person being ignored, so I'm sure you can draw your own conclusion. Just when I was about to find a manager and let them know why I was leaving so abruptly, I very sweet young lady walked over to me and asked if I was picking up an order. I explained that I was not, but that I was attempting to order cocktails while waiting to be seated. The young lady, who may have been a manager( i assumed this because she was dressed in a white blouse and khakis as opposed to the server attire.) quickly made very decent martinis with a smile for my fiancee and myself. This young lady changed our whole experience by tackling a customer's issue immediately and making us feel welcome again. Kudos to this young lady, to our server, and to the kitchen staff that made the remainder of our experience top notch!!
Kind but forgetful waiter told us that the mahi mahi is dry, forgot the bisque, looong wait between apps & entrees, my sea bass seemed undercooked but we had reservations & needed to go.
Slow doesn’t begin to describe the service. The blackened redfish was very overcooked. The mussels in the pasta had to have been previously frozen. Really disappointing all around—I expected more from Landry’s. FYI—we waited over 50 minutes for our food—and the place was empty.
Great options. Great quality. Great staff. Expensive but worth it.
Sharlyn (sp) was our server - and she was excellent: Very attentive, professional and friendly. She made our evening very delightful. The food was very good and we all had a very enjoyable evening.
Thank you!!

We celebrated our 34 year anniversary and it was awesome. The food was absolutely delicious
I ordered the stuff flounder. The stuffing was good, but the fish was very fishy tasting. Mixed veg were ok, carrots were too hard to eat. One of my friends, it was 5 of us, ordered the seafood pasta. The pasta was very tasty, but the shrimp and scallops were so HARD she had trouble chewing it. Ask for a manager, but he did not come to table so she just told the server to forget it. Very disappointing dinner.
Thé person at the front was rude when we arrived which didn’t set a good tone. The waitstaff was not attentive and never checked back with us during our meal. That being said, the food was really good and the restaurant was very pretty. I wish the staff wouldn’t have ruined our dinner experience.
