    You come to LB's for the name of the hotel - ie the View. It is a fantastic view of the Harbour Bridge and city skyline. I used to go to the restaurant back in the 1990s and occasionally they had a very good chef. Today, the hotel looks much like it did when it was a Travelodge all those years ago. The decor is ordinary, the muzak appalling, service OK, and the menu reasonable. The cooking was good, steaks cooked rare as requested, and most courses delivered the goods. The drinks list was OK, with a 2022 Majella cabernet good value at $62 a bottle. I suppose the idea is that with a killer view, the food and decor is secondary, but without the view, I'm not sure it would be worth the effort.

    We had a lovely experience, it was exactly what we were looking for with more traditional food, nothing too ostentatious and nothing to over priced. The view was lovely and the service friendly - although he was a little run off his feet but but he managed it well. Our picks were the king fish entree and beef tartar, along with the tiramisu for dessert.

    The food was delicious. except I wasn't a fan of the kale. The lamp rump and hanger steak were very tender. The view was great and the service was attentive and friendly. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we were made to feel special. Thank you for a lovely evening.

    Amazing experience! Hats off to the chefs! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful! The staff were super friendly. The view was extra special! This place has become my favourite place to dine! It was above and beyond my expectations as service like this is hard to find these days.

    The service was really excellent. Also the starter, the salad was lovely made up and the dressing fine. The main course, the gnocchi with tomato sauce was not good at all. The tomato sauce came out of a can and the gnocchi also from a food package. Not tasty at all
