Le Jardinier is a unique and refined restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli located in The Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Rooted in timeless French approach, Chef Verzeroli has created a menu where plants play a prominent role: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, and greens are complemented by wild and sustainable fish with local Texas meats. All our breads are gluten-free and baked in house.

Le Jardinier's light-filled space will evoke a feeling of relaxed-luxury and incorporate custom art pieces with outdoor dining set within an Isamu Noguchi-designed sculpture garden.

The food was exquisite! The Waygu Bavette is a Top 5 steak anywhere in the country and the Carolina Gold Risotto with crab and preserved lemon should be in the risotto hall of fame.

Making our way through the list of Houston's most beautiful restaurants, my friends and I landed at Le Jardinier for dinner. When you're located within the city's largest art gallery, you better be beautiful! The space is, in fact, beautiful, although the floor-to-ceiling windows which are certainly crucial to any room's aesthetic, were covered during most of our meal. I did appreciate the little artful touches like the asparagus spoon rests (every nice restaurant should have spoon rests!) and the crystal lights on each table. We started with the Foie Gras and Burrata appetizers. I'll be honest, I was a tad disappointed in the Foie Gras... I was expecting a slice of actual foie gras, not a pate. But the flavors were sufficient. The burrata was simply fine... nothing special. The bread selection and accompanying olive oil were outstanding. And when I had my first bite of chicken, I exclaimed, out loud, "ohhhhhhhhh." It was simply stunning. The server was spot-on with her recommendation when she said, this is a preparation you can't replicate at home. Perfectly seasoned with a rich morel sauce... incredibly delicious! My friends both enjoyed their entrees of roasted duck breast and spinach ravioli, respectively. On to dessert: I had the Vahlrona Cremiex, which was not too sweet and, despite its name isn't very chocolatey, so if it's chocolate you crave, this won't hit the mark. Friends had the carrot cake - delicious - and the Butterfly - gorgeous and also delicious. Service was very personable and the attempt at upscale polish was appreciated though not always perfectly executed.

I expect more from Le Jardimier! Table and chair are very simple! There’s no candle , no flowers, nothing impressive! We did taste menu, the wagyu steak was row in my opinion and egg was soft cooked, in my opinion the Chef should ask first , How you like the meet and egg !

Outstanding The wagyu burgers could improve but overall fantastic experience. Had dinner there a few night ago, and that was superb. Rabbit ragu pasta is stellar and service impeccable

Great experience, however food lacked flavor. Service staff were excellent and the location was great. We went for Daughter’s graduation from Graduate School.

Great setting. Easy parking. The food was very good. The service was great at the lead wait level; however, the majority of the wait staff seemed as though they were in training. Too many interruptions from very young waiters asking if we were enjoying our meals. Most did not understand that they are to serve to our left and clear from our right. They will learn; however, at the $120 per person tab (most reasonable bottle of wine we could find on the list), one expects more. But I would return - just not often.
